Position
Our client is seeking a highly trusted, detail-oriented accounting professional to serve
as Finance Director (Family Office Operations) for a private family office based in Pittsburgh.
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for financial oversight, coordination with external
advisors, and day-to-day financial execution across a complex family office structure. The
Finance Director will work directly with the principals and serve as the central point of

- Help students navigate public transport in Berlin.
- Serve as a first point of contact at the student residence to deal with any emergencies in concert with the program director or other on-site faculty; be available to discuss with students any pressing personal issues they may have; keep the program director informed of student issues.
- Liaise with staff at the student residence, students, and program director to address any concerns about student conduct, housing rules and student use of facilities/amenities with an aim to maintain positive relations and experience.
- Work with the program director to organize program co- and extra-curricular activities at host institution, the student residence, and in the city.
- Serve as the Teaching Assistant for two courses (CS 2340, CS 4400); serve as a backup instructor in the event of illness of the course instructor
- Go with students to physician appointments or hospital/clinic visits as needed.
- Organize and attend program social events.

Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with travel and study abroad (as a former participant in a summer or semester program or exchange) and familiarity with Berlin and/or Germany (preferred).
- Academic background and/or domain knowledge to support CS 2340, CS 4400.
- Experience as teaching assistant, resident assistant, or leader in student organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work well in a team.
- Demonstrated reliability and integrity, and a strong sense of initiative.
- Sensitivity to confidentiality.
- Strong leadership skills and experience with conflict resolution.
