We are looking for a Senior Principal Engineer / Network Load Balancing Engineer to join a high‑impact engineering team based in Round Rock, TX. This person will architect, build, and optimize global load‑balancing solutions that support mission‑critical applications used across distributed engineering environments. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, global traffic distribution, multi‑site resiliency, and peak performance across a large‑scale enterprise environment.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, configure, and operate global load‑balancing platforms (F5 BIG‑IP LTM/GTM, GSLB, HAProxy, NGINX, and other ADC technologies).
- Design and implement high‑availability and failover strategies across multiple global sites.
- Develop and refine traffic‑routing logic including iRules, DNS/GSLB policies, health checks, SSL termination, header manipulation, and L4/L7 flow engineering.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance using enterprise observability tools.
- Partner closely with application owners, engineering teams, security groups, and architects.
- Lead troubleshooting for traffic‑flow issues, failover anomalies, latency, and performance events.
- Create and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and incident‑response procedures.

About the Company

POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the NOC, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Education can be waived if candidate has extensive experience in NOC operations
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role of hourly technicians, preferably within a cloud services environment.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and network monitoring tools.
- Experience with incident management, change management, and configuration management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.

- Configure and support the NETSCOUT monitoring infrastructure
- Assign and configure management and SPAN ports
- Add TAP links into production environments without disrupting traffic
- Configure port mirroring and IP assignments for NETSCOUT devices
- Validate packet capture and define alert thresholds
- Support network monitoring and deep traffic analysis efforts
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of networking experience
- Strong hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, and OSPF
- 12+ years of experience in deep packet inspection technologies
- Experience with NETSCOUT InfiniStream implementation
- Ability to work in a hybrid onsite model in NYC
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert-level experience with nGeniusONE
- Experience with EIGRP, iBGP, eBGP, and IS-IS
- Familiarity with SNMPv3, Syslog, and NetFlow
- Strong packet-level troubleshooting skills
- Experience analyzing HTTP/S, SQL, DNS, and VoIP/SIP traffic
- Experience with network design documentation and MS Visio
