Responsibilities

  • Communicates with internal staff, Members/LARs, physicians, hospital representatives, and other
  • Providers regarding case status, due process, rationale, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinates Fair Hearing requests through TIERS when a Member/LAR or Provider requests an EMR or Fair Hearing
  • Utilizes an Independent Review Organization as needed for specialty or external reviews
  • Oversees documentation and recordkeeping of all case communications in compliance with accrediting requirements
  • Documents all activities and interactions in electronic and event tracking systems
    Generates appeal determination letters as appropriate

C. Collaborates with clinical reviewers, medical directors, external physician reviewers, and network Providers

  • Communicates with physicians on each case to establish the most appropriate course of action
  • Provides education to nurse and therapist reviewers regarding appeal updates and process changes
  • Maintains flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to address pharmacy-related denials
  • Educates physician reviewers and clinical review staff on managed care and Medicaid policies and procedures

D. Conducts staff and medical director audits on appeal activities

  • Assists with appeal file preparation for NCQA file reviews
  • Supports the development of corrective action plans based on trended audit findings

E. Provides data for internal and external reporting

  • Analyzes quarterly trends in appeal types and sources

The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of Azure Data Platforms; builds automations, integrate Data products through automation, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.


Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or Tempe, AZ or Hartford, CT or Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate to the area.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
  • Hands‑on experience specifically in Databricks and Azure administration.
  • Hands‑on experience in Azure data/infra roles supporting ADF and Databricks across multi‑environment setups (Dev/QA/Prod).
  • Experience supporting and optimizing large‑scale data processing environments and mission‑critical data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience administering Azure Databricks or Databricks on AWS/GCP, including Workspace provisioning, Cluster configuration, Job scheduling & administration, Access control and permissions
  • Strong experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), Unity Catalog, Secret scopes and credential management, Audit logging and compliance and Network and security configuration for Databricks environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience writing Hashi Corp Terraform configurations and modules. Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code
  • Understanding of Azure data analytics technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Open AI. Azure data services deployment experience.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions
  • Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and well-architected Framework principals
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to multitask, work well under demanding situations, prioritize and meet deadline

Description:

They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Appian Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise workflow and case management solutions within a mortgage and financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Appian application development, strong experience building scalable solutions on AWS, and a solid understanding of mortgage industry processes (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac exposure highly preferred).

This role will play a key part in building robust, automated, and compliant business process solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms and cloud-based services.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Appian application development
  • Deep expertise in the Appian platform, including SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, expression rules, and integrations
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling (BPM) and workflow automation
  • Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end enterprise workflow solutions
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and data modeling, including relational schema design and enterprise database integration
