Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, assisting with financial reporting, and driving process improvements across the finance function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can operate independently, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats within a small to midsize organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting daily accounting operations including general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related accounting, and reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Preparing financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory and contractual accounting requirements
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
- Partnering with finance leadership to analyze financial performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements
- Assisting with treasury-related activity, forecasting support, and reporting
- Helping document, improve, and maintain financial processes and systems
- Supporting intercompany reconciliations and other cross-functional accounting matters as needed
Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant capacity
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience working in a regulated accounting environment
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is required
- Prior government contracting accounting experience is required
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas
- Experience managing complex reconciliations, payroll integrations, and benefits-related accounting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently
- U.S. citizenship is required

Key Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming phone calls from customers and assists call or routes call to appropriate person
- Maintains good customer relations and ensures that all calls meet Service Experts’ standards

Qualifications:
