Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Our vision in the Applied AI Solutions Go-To-Market team is to be a leading provider of AI and Agentic business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, used by millions of companies around the world to manage their day-to-day operations. Our mission is to accelerate our customers’ businesses by delivering intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We approach this challenge by blending vision with curiosity, and Amazon’s real-world experience, to build opinionated, turn-key solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Tech BD to join the Applied AI Solutions GTM acceleration team and work closely with senior leaders, to ensure that we are aligned and working as single organization to achieve our strategic goals. This role will be pivotal in driving the successful implementation of key strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, to achieve our vision as a single organization.

This function will Accelerate the Applied AI Solutions GTM strategy and growth (as defined by our Operating Plan) through strategic initiatives that transform our organizational capability and operational excellence. This position requires a strong understanding of the internal AWS and external Partner business dynamics, AWS field enablement and planning processes, the ability to make important data-driven decisions, and bias for action to implement strategies that enhance performance with speed.

You must be uncomfortable with status quo, curious about new programs and initiatives impacting our customers, partners, and employees, and possess the ability to ask the right questions. This function needs to have a bias for action, make informed decisions, demonstrating a proactive approach to projects and tasks. You must be comfortable taking risks and raising the bar for new ways of doing things. Strong analytical, Think Big, Invent & Simplify skills are crucial for success in this position.

Key job responsibilities
1. Field Enablement Strategy & Execution Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive AAIS portfolio enablement strategy, ensuring alignment with GTM objectives, service team priorities, and field scaling goals across AWS's global sales organization.

2. Enablement Tooling & Content Infrastructure Own and optimize AWS enablement tools (including Alchemy) for AAIS content management, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and AI-augmented resources that empower field teams to engage customers with speed and confidence.

3. Enablement Measurement Architecture & Analytics Strategy Lead the design and ownership of comprehensive measurement frameworks that define, track, and evaluate field enablement effectiveness across the full AAIS portfolio — establishing the analytical foundation, including KPIs, data models, and reporting infrastructure, that connects enablement inputs (training completions, content consumption, tool adoption) to business outcomes (pipeline generation, win rates, revenue acceleration, and partner performance).

4. Scalable Analytics & Self-Service Intelligence Build and operationalize scalable analytics solutions that surface actionable insights across enablement program impact, training effectiveness, and resource utilization across the AWS Partner Network. Develop self-service analytics capabilities — including dashboards and automated reporting — that empower field teams, partners, and GTM leaders to make data-driven decisions independently and at scale.

5. Predictive Modeling & GTM Intelligence Develop predictive models and trend analyses that proactively identify enablement gaps, forecast field readiness, and surface revenue acceleration opportunities. Translate complex analytical findings into executive-ready narratives that drive strategic decisions for L8–L10+ stakeholders and inform GTM strategy and partner ecosystem development.

6. Data-Driven Culture & Thought Leadership Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making through thought leadership, strategic guidance, and the democratization of analytics. Define and govern the analytical standards and methodologies that ensure consistent, credible measurement across all enablement programs and regions.

7. Field Feedback Loops & Continuous Improvement Create and manage structured feedback loops between field teams, product development, and GTM leadership — using quantitative and qualitative data signals — to continuously improve enablement effectiveness, content quality, and program relevance across the AAIS portfolio.

8. Cross-Functional Alignment & AWS Field Scaling Integration Partner with cross-functional teams — including Marketing, Training, Service teams, WWFE, and GTM leadership — to ensure aligned messaging, measurement strategies, and maximum resource utilization across all enablement initiatives, while driving integration with existing AWS field scaling programs and identifying AAIS-specific enhancements.

ABOUT THE CENTER ON RACE, INEQUALITY, AND THE LAW AT NYU SCHOOL OF LAW The Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at NYU School of Law (“The Centerâ€) engages in research, public education, advocacy, and litigation to advance its mission of shaping how people understand, diagnose, and address issues of race and inequality. The Center’s priorities include: shaping the public discourse and consciousness around race and inequality; addressing the influence of race and inequality in the criminal legal system; confronting the racial justice implications of technology and algorithmic decision-making tools in the criminal legal system and other systems that govern people’s lives; challenging the forces that drive racial segregation and economic disadvantage in communities of color; and infusing legal education with a racial justice lens.
ABOUT THE POSITION Throughout the history of this country, racial bias and discrimination has played an arbitrary and pernicious role in the administration of the criminal legal system and has contributed to the problem of wrongful conviction. Two-thirds of the 254 people freed or exonerated by the IP are people of color and 58% are Black. According to the National Registry of Exonerations, Black people comprise 47% of all known exonerations since 1989, even though they make up just 13% of the U.S. population. Furthermore, Black people are seven times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of murder than white people; a Black person convicted of sexual assault is 3.5 times more likely to be innocent than a white person convicted of such a crime; and innocent Black people are 12 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of drug possession than innocent white people. The work of the IP has uncovered racial (and other) bias in prosecution, policing, indigent defense, and forensic science.
To further advance the mission of the IP, the (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will serve as an advisor, thought leader, expert and in-house resource on racial justice, equity, bias and discrimination and its impact on the functioning of the criminal legal system and, particularly, wrongful conviction. The (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will set the vision for this work and will collaborate with the IP staff to ensure that the substantive work of the organization is consistently guided, informed, and supported by rigorous historical, academic, forensic and social science research and scholarship, legal decisions, and policies/practices that explain, expose, ameliorate and ultimately eliminate racial bias as a factor in criminal legal system decision making. Thus, for example, the (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will advise on methods to help ensure that the IP's intake procedures surface cases where racism may have contributed to the wrongful conviction of an innocent person, that litigation strategies take into account the latest law and science on racial bias and discrimination, that our social work policies and practices are informed by the unique challenges posed by discrimination and unconscious bias and that our policy work and education campaigns contribute to dismantling systemic racism.
The (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will support and advise all Departments of the IP, including the program teams, but will not play an active role in litigation or policy advocacy campaigns. The (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction is not responsible for the development of internal diversity, equity and inclusion policies, practices or procedures.
The (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will report to the Executive Director of the IP, and will be a member of the IP’s Executive Department.
The (Special) Advisor on Race and Wrongful Conviction will also collaborate with the NYU Center Executive Director and Faculty Director to produce scholarly writing regarding the role of race in wrongful convictions. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas and we are not an e-verify employer. The duties of this position require approximately 40 hours of work per week to be performed virtually/in-office. We currently have a hybrid in-office model, with all employees in the office three days per week and the remainder of the week remotely. Wednesday is our organization’s “anchor day†where all staff works in the office. The number of required in-office days is subject to change.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The Innocence Project seeks a dynamic thought leader and subject matter expert on racial injustice and the intersection of race, civil rights, and criminal justice and wrongful conviction. The ideal candidate will have experience and passion around teaching, training, and/or disseminating research on these topics to broad audiences. In addition, the ideal candidate models our IP Values of accountability, collaboration, empathy + compassion, equity, person-centeredness, quality focus, and self-awareness. All Innocence Project employees must embrace, respect and value the rich diversity of perspectives and lived experience of our staff.
We recognize and appreciate that our work is better for having varied participants and thought partners. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in this type of environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSProvide ongoing expertise, thought leadership, and strategic vision to various program directors and executive leadership on the role of racial bias and discrimination in the administration of the criminal legal system and the ways in which it contributes to the wrongful conviction of innocent people.
