Responsibilities
As an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), you'll maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test complex electronic systems related to aviation on tactical jets, fixed wing aircraft or rotary winged helicopter systems. In this role, you can expect to work with systems including digital computers, fiber optics, infrared detection, radar, laser electronics, navigation, pressure indication, and electrical power generation and distribution. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Installing modifications to aircraft electronic systems
- Performing micro-miniature module repair on computer circuit cards
- Performing electrical diagnostics
- Reading electrical system diagrams
- Repairing and maintaining power generators and electric motors
- Performing scheduled maintenance and corrosion control
Work Environment
Sailors in this career field will perform duties at sea and ashore around the world. ATs can expect to work indoors and outdoors in land-based aircraft squadrons and aboard aircraft carriers. You may work in a shop environment, clean lab, airplane hangar or office environment.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes(known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training, including:
Class "A" Technical School (19 weeks) in Pensacola, FL, for training in basic aviation theory and technical knowledge, aviation electrical systems, and electrical and electronics theory and skills.
After you complete training, you may be assigned to a naval air station, squadron, aircraft carrier or other aviation facility. Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.
Advanced Training

The Boatswain's Mate (BM) has a rich history of honored traditions. As a BM, you will supervise the maintenance of your ship inside and out, in addition to a diverse roster of other responsibilities:
* Standing watch as lookout or Boatswain Mate of the Watch
* Repairing, maintaining and stowing equipment
* Training, directing and supervising ship's maintenance personnel
* Assisting as a search and rescue swimmer
* Operating sound-powered communication equipment
* Serving as a member of damage control, emergency and security alert teams
* Participating in Navy ceremonies
* Transferring supplies between ships while at sea
* Operating small boats, tugs, barges and other small craft

Your mission
Own the technical coordination and production flow of projects and protect documentation quality, while keeping consultant integration clean and deadlines realistic. You will translate design intent into buildable, code aligned sets and support the team through permitting and construction.
A strong first 90 days includes:
- Learning and adopting ONYX Revit and documentation standards quickly
- Establishing a consistent coordination rhythm with consultants (MEP, structural, civil, and others)

We are currently looking for a Construction Project Engineer who is ready to engage in a large alternative delivery (CMGC) project in Los Angeles County. This project is a multi-year project that will add bus lanes from North Hollywood to Pasadena. This widening will increase BRT lanes and capacity. It will be the largest, most impactful BRT CMGC project in Southern California. The project is currently in Pre-Construction and when construction starts, the project size will be over $250 Million Dollars. This position will integrate with the project’s civil team that focuses on MOT, Roadway, Concrete Pavement, Drainage, Electrical and Overhead Signs. Your role on the civil team will depend on your desires as well as strengths and previous experience. In addition to self-performing various scopes on the project the civil team will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the subcontractors, and suppliers as well LA Metro, Cities of Glendale, Los Angeles & Pasadena as well as third party Construction Management and Design Staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work On Site to help solve problems that occur during construction
- Partner with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan
- Maintain thorough understanding of the Myers contract with Caltrans
- Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report
- Analyze and forecast monthly Total Cost Projection reports
- Monitor project labor
- Lead the project’s quality process
- Develop, schedule and lead project teams on submittals, RFI's and Change Orders
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Designer, vendors, subcontractors and owners
- Implement all applicable Safety Programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
- 2+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related highway or structures construction projects in California.
- Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self-perform work
- Experience leading a successful project team, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills.
