About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Service Technician I with a strong electrical background who is willing to travel extensively and learn Astec's asphalt plant processes and control systems. This role is responsible for supporting the installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of client equipment at customer sites. The technician will work closely with engineering, service leadership, and customers to ensure successful equipment performance and high customer satisfaction.
This is a highly hands-on, travel-intensive position suited for individuals who enjoy field work, problem-solving, and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of Astec equipment under the guidance of senior technicians
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic/control, and mechanical systems
- Ensure proper sequencing, interlocking, calibration, and application of control systems
- Conduct on-site training for customer personnel on startup, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance basics
- Generate accurate daily field service reports and documentation
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and product support teams regarding technical issues, warranties, and design improvements
- Assist with identifying and resolving equipment or process issues
- Be available for emergency service dispatch as required
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude at all times
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (technical training or related education is a plus)
- Min 2 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial service, or related fields
- Strong electrical fundamentals – ability to work with electrical and electronic circuits
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics/blueprints
- Knowledge of circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently and in small teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Windows, Microsoft Office)

Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager (Building Automation Systems) is responsible for leading mission-critical BAS and EPMS projects from design through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures high‐reliability delivery for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center environments where uptime, accuracy, and compliance are essential. The Senior Project Manager acts as the primary client interface, oversees multi‐discipline teams, manages budgets and schedules, and ensures that all systems are delivered to data center industry standards.
- Project/portfolio management of large BAS/EPMS data center projects; align with SLAs, milestones, and critical-path schedules.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and status reporting; ensure turnover packages and closeout deliverables meet owner standards.
- Lead risk/issue management, safety adherence, and cross-functional collaboration; drive consistency across projects and regions.
- Client/stakeholder relations, high-integrity leadership, and team development; travel as needed for commissioning windows. Required and desired skills:
Required: 5–10+ years PM experience in BAS/EPMS or mission-critical MEP; hyperscale/colocation data center experience preferred; PMP is preferred; strong technical understanding of BAS/EPMS architecture, metering, SCADA, and electrical distribution.

The Role We Want You For
As an Energy Marshal, you will oversee and manage the energy program, ensuring the safe and efficient use of all energy sources on-site. The Specifics of the Role
- Partner with Operations, Safety and Environmental Teams to secure program compliance controlling hazardous energy.
- Ensure appropriate inspection and testing documents are complete prior to energization of equipment and gear on project sites. Coordinate with the QC department.
- Utilize SPS-101 Energy Isolation Guidebook in conjunction with NFPA 70E as the foundation for the site energy program.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure the energy isolation program is being followed and to maintain safe working conditions across the project site.
- Manage routine meetings, participating in High-Risk Activity discussions, to update Project and Operations teams on program issues, risks, and progress.
- Create and manage reports to present updates to management teams.
- Train new and existing team members on energy program requirements to ensure site safety.
- Coordinate with the Commissioning Manager to establish commissioning sequences and testing plans.
- Manage the site Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 10+ years’ experience in the Electrical Trade.
- Master Electrician license strongly preferred.
- NETA Level 3 or Level 4 certification highly preferred, indicating advanced expertise in electrical gear, testing, and system performance.
- 10–15 years of experience with MEP systems, with a heavy emphasis on electrical systems and managing hazardous energy in large, complex construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- NFPA 70E Certification.
- NFPA CESCP Certification a plus.
- Strong experience with MV/HV systems, electrical testing, verification, and commissioning activities.
- Data center experience a plus.
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and navigate multi-floor scaffolding.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Strong preference for candidates with deep electrical backgrounds — mechanical knowledge can be learned on the job, but advanced electrical expertise is essential.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Estimator role collaborates with clients, vendors, subcontractors and our internal team to create estimates and assemble bids for projects within our core markets that enhance the profitability of the company and optimize our workforce. POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Collaborate with Lead and Senior Estimators to prepare documents for legal review.
- Work with Lead and Senior Estimators to identify bid type and scope, construction timeframes, materials, and labor expenses, and bonding and bid requirements.
- Travel to and attend pre-bid meetings and/or to jobsites accompanied by a more senior member of the team.
- Identify any potential project risks and discuss with the Lead and Senior Estimators.
- Make recommendations on if subcontractors and materials are needed and gather needed quotes.
- Work with Lead and Senior Estimators to perform takeoffs.
- Create supporting documentation to support construction plans.
- Collaborate with Lead and Senior Estimators to finalize the work plan.
- Complete bid forms, enter information in appropriate websites, and ensure everything is in order to submit a final bid with oversight from Lead and Senior Estimators.
- Maintain bid logs.
- Assist with the labor and equipment rate schedules.
- Collaborate with Project Management and Field Leadership to ensure the job is set up correctly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- 1 to 2 Years of estimating experience in the electrical construction field.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
