Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site leadership development role based in Northern California, Southern California, or Texas.
As a Manager in Training (MIT), you will enter the Ignition Leadership pathway and be placed into operational leadership at Stress-Free Auto Care. From day one, you will learn how to run a modern, data-driven auto repair operation while developing the leadership skills required to manage teams and own financial performance.
This is not a classroom program. It is hands-on business leadership.

The Senior Director of Nursing Leadership Development is responsible for the development implementation and management of comprehensive integrated training strategies and programs for nurse leaders across MedStar Health entities. In this systemwide role the Senior Director partners with the Chief Nursing Officers System Nursing Leadership Team Organizational Learning and Capability Human Resources and Nursing Professional Development Leaders to ensure alignment with the changing healthcare landscape and System Nursing's strategic direction. The Senior Director leads the development of training programs that inspire and enhance the capacity of nurse leaders and position them for success. The Senior Director of Nursing leadership Development builds strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to MedStar to understand strategic objectives and to identify learning priorities and needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Partners with the Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) System Nursing Leadership Team Organizational Learning and Capability Human Resources and Nursing Professional Development Leaders to ensure consistency in the overall approach to learning development and support of nurse leaders' ongoing professional advancement objectives.Assumes leadership role in the planning development execution and evaluation of the MedStar Health system nursing leadership development strategy programs and curricula to support the nurse leader's role in high reliability and just culture quality and safety talent management and competency management. Facilitates formal and informal learning related to key educational initiatives (competency models diversity mentoring and so on). Understands when and how to acquire additional resources and/or subject matter experts as needed.Leads the system-level orientation and ongoing development programs for nurse leaders and facilitates their transition to the MedStar nursing practice environment. Ensures these programs meet the leadership competency assessment requirements in conformance with departmental objectives regulatory and accreditation standards. Establishes annual calendar of orientation programs in partnership with the CNOs and leaders from human resources and talent acquisitions departments. Provides leadership and oversight for the emerging nurse leaders training program and support nurses' transition to formal leadership roles. The Director of Development, Leadership Giving brings proven experience stewarding annual donors and securing major gifts of $25,000 and above, including multiβyear and sixβfigure commitments. The Director manages all phases of the gift cycleβidentifying prospects, developing cultivation strategies, engaging volunteers and board members, soliciting support, and maintaining strong donor stewardship.
The Director proactively strengthens existing donor relationships and builds new ones. This role leads development projects, collaborates with colleagues to achieve strategic goals, and tracks and reports progress to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Fundraising Strategy
Work with the Associate Vice President of Development and the team to develop and implement strategies for leadershipβlevel donor acquisition and retention. Provide support in drafting and refining donor communications. Cultivate and sustain longβterm relationships with donors and prospects, including coordination with members of the Board of Directors. Employ structured βmovesβmanagementβ strategies to identify new prospects, advance them through the solicitation process, elevate giving levels, and ensure effective stewardship of event donors and sponsors.
Focus Areas
The Director has primary development responsibility for the Miami-Dade and Broward region, including the growth and management of the Miami Advisory Council, which is comprised of leading donors in the area. The Director also oversees the programming and engagement with the Foundationβs Chairmanβs Advisory Council, consisting of leadershipβlevel donors.. This regional portfolio requires focused engagement with individual donors, grantmaking foundations, and corporate partners.
Build a Robust Donor Base
Develop and manage a personal portfolio of major donors and highβcapacity prospects ($10,000β$100,000 annually) to cultivate, solicit, and steward. Provide exemplary donor relationship management and ensure full adherence to all gift agreement requirements. Direct and coordinate special events and airboat tours that advance cultivation and stewardship objectives.
Communications & Follow-up
Provide timely, accurate responses to donors and deliver comprehensive updates on the Foundationβs programs, initiatives, and activities. This function requires close coordination with the Science, Advocacy/Policy, and Education teams, as well as ongoing collaboration with the communications, finance, and technical/data teams to ensure all donor communications are consistent, precise, and reflective of organizational priorities.
CRM Use & Expertise
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and current donor and event records in the Foundationβs CRM system (Salesforce). Utilize the CRM to support and inform donor engagement, cultivation, and stewardship strategies.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; CFRE or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience with demonstrated success fundraising for a mid- to largeβsized nonprofit or equivalent related experience.
- Proven ability to solicit and steward gifts of $25,000 and above, including multiβyear and sixβfigure commitments, with a thorough understanding of all stages of the gift cycle.
- Experience with fundraising strategies and techniques related to annual event giving and major gifts.

The current full-time salary range for this position is $75,301 - $199,722. TSP hourly rate: $150-400. Essential Functions
Program Administration and Implementation (40%):
- The Assistant Director for Alumnae Leadership and Career Engagement oversees the successful administration of career workshops, webinars, and related resources in collaboration with Alumnae Relations & Development colleagues and campus partners.
- They enact the operational tasks necessary to move program delivery forward, including Zoom meeting and webinar setup, technical support during sessions, scheduling, preparation of materials, and post-program follow-up communications.
- They coordinate logistics and communications with campus partners and vendors as needed to support program execution and delegate and oversee tasks assigned to fellow staff or student interns supporting workshops, webinars, documentation, and follow-up; provide training, supervision, and quality control.
- The Assistant Director is responsible for maintaining accurate and current process documentation, templates, and preparation materials for program offerings; identifying opportunities for incremental improvements to existing systems.
- They are responsible for supporting volunteer management for the Alum Career Coaches program by coordinating intake of new coaches, maintaining accurate records, and aligning coaches with workshops and program needs.
Project Management (30%):

- For this work, the Assistant Director of Alumnae Career Programs maintains a dotted-line supervisory relationship with the Director of Alumnae Engagement, whose team has primary responsibility for the overall Reunion program.
- In this capacity, the Director of Alumnae Engagement provides consultation and guidance to ensure that the Reunion Student Program is in alignment with Reunion timelines, priorities, and overall strategy.
