Job Summary:
The RN House Supervisor is a registered professional nurse who provides hospital wide leadership to all departments and divisions through the effective use of advance competencies in communication, job knowledge, professionalism and business skills to promote the creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention, and in clinical and business outcomes.
This leader is a member of the leadership team and is responsible for overseeing activities within the hospital in the absence of hospital president, administrators and department directors.
Responsibilities include clinical, financial, human and material resources deployment along with associated outcomes or goals. The RN House Supervisor reports directly to nursing resources leadership and indirectly to the administrator on call (AOC) demonstrating leadership to effectively partner with hospital leaders and medical staff to meet and exceed the hospital's mission, vision and goals.
The RN House Supervisor provides leadership for department supervisors, assistant nurse managers and charge nurses in absence of traditional leader. He/she also serves as a mentor. The RN House Supervisor is the standard bearer and holds all team members accountable for the delivery of safe, quality care and services through effective communication, observation, and management through collaboration and servant leadership. The RN House Supervisor uses performance improvement methodology, successfully applies Lean Six Sigma principles and evidenced-based practice. Serves as a change agent for implementing best practice.
The RN House Supervisor serves as a safety officer ensuring that safety, regulatory and quality standards are upheld through effective use of data and technology to make decisions and proactively mitigate unnecessary risks; and supporting a culture of safety and a safe work environment. The RN House Supervisor fosters communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, and patients across all departments and divisions of care. The RN House Supervisor serves as a sponsor for performance improvement; inspires others to seek opportunities to grow and improve their individual performance. RN House Supervisor models the way to foster exemplary skills in attaining effective teamwork among all individuals. He/she serves as a resource to staff, physicians, patients and families in accordance with legal, ethical, professional and organizational standards.

* Respond to hospital-wide Code calls and facilitate adherence to established protocols (at some sites-may be involved in Rapid Response calls).

The positions are to assist in research in economic development, labor, and health economics, applying rigorous methods for causal inference and machine learning .
The Institute for Business and Social Impact (IBSI) was launched in November 2013 at the Haas School of Business to train and empower leaders to address society's most pressing challenges. As part of the top-ranked Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, IBSI advances pioneering research at the intersection of business and social impact, with particular focus on workforce skills development, financial inclusion, and mental health in organizational settings. General Duties:
- Research Design & Analysis (20%): Assist in designing and interpreting analyses using advanced econometric methods, including reduced form approaches (difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, instrumental variables) and structural econometrics (method of moments, maximum likelihood, dynamic programming), with a focus on causal inference.

JOB SUMMARY
The WRP Facilities Assistant is one of a three-person team dedicated to the Westside Research Park (WRP) and a member of the Baskin School of Engineering (BSOE) Facilities group reporting to the Director of Facilities. Under the general supervision of the WRP Facility Manager, the incumbent provides building operational support and is responsible for front-line support, including discovering, assessing, investigating, and resolving building plant issues.
The WRP Facilities Assistant interfaces and collaborates with facilities personnel from Physical Planning, Development, and Operations, and academic divisions with occupants in the WRP, including Physical and Biological Sciences, the Baskin School of Engineering, and the Arts Division. JOB DUTIES
80% - Facility Support
- Provides first-level support to trouble tickets and initial reports of building maintenance issues, taking trouble calls, inputting work requests into the BSOE work order system (RT), providing initial investigation of the problem, solving, and forwarding to the Physical Plant work order desk with information for resolution as required.
- Interfaces with Physical Plant technicians and contractors to provide guidance and escort if necessary.
- Closes off areas for safety or to prevent further issues as necessary.
- Supports minor maintenance tasks not covered by regular custodial staff.
- Facilitates equipment deliveries and moves, including moving heavy equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and optics tables.

JOB SUMMARY
The Fire Services Director (“Director”) reports to the Commissioners Court and receives day-to-day direction from the County Judge. He or she is responsible for the strategic direction, development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive programs relating to fire safety, emergency preparedness, and non-law enforcement public safety. He or she ensures compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards while promoting a safe environment for all personnel, stakeholders, and citizens. SUPERVISION

Develops, recommends, and administers the annual budget and forecasts funds needed for equipment, materials, supplies, and staffing. Monitors expense, approves needed funds, and plans for budget purposes.
- Consults with local, State, and Federal officials on policy, regulations and legislation, and ensuring adherence to State and Federal statutes, regulations and guidelines.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to Court, departmental leadership, advisory boards, civic organizations, and the general public, including presentations on fire prevention, arson investigation, and emergency management programs as needed or requested. Collects, interprets, and analyzes data to develop studies, reports, and supporting documentation for departmental planning, performance evaluation, and informed decision-making, including annual reports and other materials as directed. Communicates data and findings in clear, language for a wide range of audiences. - Attends conferences and meetings to keep abreast of current trends in the field; represents the County Emergency Management Department in a variety of local, county, state and other meetings.

ANDRITZ is seeking a seasoned Quality professional with significant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project-based engineered equipment. The ideal candidate will bring deep welding knowledge, strong familiarity with industry codes (AWS, ASME), and hands-on expertise supporting fabrication for pulp & paper, chemical, power, and related industrial applications. Welding experience is the #1 qualification for this position. Candidates must meet this requirement to proceed.

- Extensive welding experience supporting industrial fabrication and equipment manufacturing.

- Communicate quality expectations across internal departments and with customers.
- Implement controls to ensure quality compliance across all equipment and components.
- Coordinate inspections of structural, mechanical, welded, and machined parts.
- Manage third-party inspectors and cross-division ANDRITZ inspection resources.
- Review supplier quality programs, documentation, NCRs, and provide stakeholder feedback.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and supplier improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality or Project Management in pulp & paper, power, metals, chemical, or process industries, or within a large fabrication environment.
- Strong working knowledge of machining, surface preparation, and mechanical testing.
- Ability to perform dimensional inspections and verify compliance during multiple fabrication stages.
- Experience with supplier auditing — preferred.
- Experience with failure analysis and RCA — preferred.
- Knowledge of pulp & paper equipment — preferred.
- Ability to travel internationally (Asia and Europe).
Work Environment
This role requires daily cross-functional interaction with vendors, Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Materials. Overnight travel by air or ground is required.

The Director, USMA (United States Medical Affairs) Framework Architecture is responsible for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving the medical affairs framework within US Medical Affairs. This role ensures medical affairs operates ethically, transparently and in full compliance with internal policies, industry codes and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the design and implementation of robust medical mechanisms for medical content, scientific exchange, evidence generation and external engagement to uphold the highest ethical standards, patient-centricity, and scientific integrity.
Develop and execute training programs for Medical Affairs personnel on Medical Affairs framework and ethical standards. Track training completion and maintain audit readiness documentation. Ensure USMA employees operate in the appropriate framework for all US medical activities, including publications, post approval studies, research, advisory boards, scientific engagement and medical information and response documents. Partner with patient safety organization. Ensure Scientific integrity in US Affiliate communication.
Contribute to shaping medical affairs framework that compliantly enables the US Medical Affairs and US Affiliate organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and share opportunities to improve specific Medical Affairs framework, policies and input into relevant global and local policies.
- Develop, lead, and continuously improve the U.S. Medical framework to support compliant medical operations and decision-making.
- Drive medical affairs framework and ethical training programs and ensure ongoing training within USMA and US Affiliate as required.
- Ensure appropriate onboarding of employees into USMA framework in collaboration with Global Learning and Development.
- Ensure an effective medical contribution to the review and approval processes for U.S. promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance (PRC).
- Ensure an effective medical contribution to the U.S. Medical Review Committee (MRC), ensuring timely and compliant review of medical content.
- Manage the USMA input into PRC and MRC escalation
- Collaborate closely with U.S. Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance teams to support business objectives while upholding medical affairs framework standards.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. regulatory and industry standards including FDA promotional guidelines, PhRMA Code, and OIG compliance requirements.
- Provide medical governance oversight for U.S. medical field activities (e.g., MSL engagements, scientific exchange, advisory boards, studies).
- Support audits and inspections as needed.
- Up to date on emerging global and U.S. regulatory, clinical, ethical and compliance trends and assess their impact on USMA framework.
- Act as key liaison between Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance and Commercial teams to ensure medical affairs has the optimal framework to enable compliance and USMA deliverables.
- Oversee risk assessments and implement control measures for emerging issues and manage medical and scientific risks across the US Affiliate.
- Develop appropriate metrics and dashboards to reflect key performance indicators for effective Medical Affairs framework within the US.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a life science discipline (MD, PharmD, or PhD strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S. Medical Affairs roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Deep understanding of US FDA regulations, PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, and other applicable laws and guidance.
- Proven understanding or ability to lead governance frameworks within a US-based, cross-functional Medical Affairs environment.
- Strong experience in promotional review committees and medical content governance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive ethical, compliant decision-making.
The salary range for this position is: Other US Locations: $221,000.00 - $286,000.00. Bay Area: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
