DescriptionSummary: To manage the Respiratory Care, Cardiology-general, Bronchoscopy/PFT Lab, EEG, NCV/EMG, and Rehab Respiratory departments.
Plans and implements the policies, procedures, and services for all the above departments.
Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations.
Responsibilities:
* Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
* Maintains consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies with appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
* Responsible for the oversight of clinical programming in the facility and for ensuring that Services meet the accreditation standards of TJC and are continuously ready for survey.
* Maintains and manages operating targets and capital budgets to meet and exceed financial goals.
* Creates an atmosphere where the organization's operating principles of patient safety and ongoing quality improvement are actively demonstrated; identifies and implements best practices and supports the transfer of such best practices to other organizations within CHRISTUS.
* Recruits, coaches, develops, supports, and leads direct reports to ensure the organization has the right leaders and successors to achieve their goals.
* Participates in the development and implementation of recruitment and retention programs and practices that support a competent and diverse workforce that contributes to the growth and success of the ministry.
* Creates team-based quality improvement plans, including the definition of team goals, utilizing performance measures and appropriate analysis tools, changing, and improving performance through feedback, coaching, and teaching.
* Develops relationships and incorporate input from Medical Staff on a regular basis.
* Coordinates the allocation of staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure the delivery of appropriate service by competent staff as defined by experience, education, and skill.
* Provides for and encourages an environment of self-development and continued learning.
* Additional responsibilities may include participation in space and equipment planning, participation in strategic planning for the department, planning for growth in the non-acute settings, and execution of those plans.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Neuroradiology, comprises highly trained Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses who work as a team to perform complex procedures such as cerebral angiography, myelography, stent placements and aneurysm coilings and embolizations. The Radiology Department at the Washington University Medical Center is regarded as one of the top five in the United States. Picture yourself working with the most world renowned Interventional Radiologists or Neuro Radiologists in the country, who are using the latest in diagnostic and therapeutic tools to help make life-changing decisions on behalf of patient care.¿The Vascular and Neuro Interventional radiologists of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MIR) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital pioneered, and are responsible for, many radiologic milestones.¿ These two distinct radiological clinical service lines are organized as follows: Interventional Radiology, includes a team of close- knit clinical specialists (Medical Doctors, Registered Nurses, and¿ Radiologic Technologists) who perform highly specialized Vascular and Interventional procedures, including most types of angiographic studies, nonvascular interventions, intra-vascular thrombolysis and central venous catheter placements. Neuroradiology, comprises highly trained Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and Registered Nurses who work as a team to perform complex procedures such as cerebral angiography, myelography, stent placements and aneurysm coilings and embolizations. The Radiology Department at the Washington University Medical Center is regarded as one of the top five in the United States. It performs over 453,000 diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures annually.

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.

Position Details:
- Full-Time (36 hours per week)
- 10 Hour Day Shifts - 4 Days per Week: 7:30am-6pm (Mon-Fri)
- Call Rotation Required for Week Overnights & Weekends
- Week Overnight Call Rotation (1 shift within one or two weeks ): Monday - Thursday (6pm-7:30am)
- Weekend Call Rotation (occurring every 10th or 11th weekend): Friday (6pm) to Saturday (8am) & Saturday (4pm) to Monday (7:30am) - Saturdays ) 3-4 times per year
- Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures
