ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide receptionist services such as greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, forwarding calls, leaving voicemails, emailing, and generating tasks in EMR.
- Plan, organize, direct and schedule patient's internal appointments based upon orders.
- Coordinate and track external referrals.
- Verification of Insurance and entering information into EMR.
- Collection of payments.
- Requesting Authorizations.
- Coordinate obtaining and sending medical records requested.
- Monitor daily clinic schedules in accordance with scheduling protocols.
- Provide strong alliance and acts as a liaison with all medical staff (including physicians) and all ancillary departments of BHCC.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two years of patient front office and/or billing experience and knowledge of insurance verification/authorization process required.
- Exposure in an oncology or imaging/radiology experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and EMR knowledge.
- Spanish speaking candidate highly preferred.
- Medical records experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide high quality Nuclear Medicine procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner while providing those services in a safe and clean environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
Earned a Nuclear Medicine diploma or degree from a college or university. Must be in compliance with CE Requirements. Must be CNMT or NMTCN eligible.
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
Workplace Experience:
Preference of at least one year of work experience in hospital environment working in Nuclear Medicine after graduation and accreditation; however, willing to train.
Equipment and Skills Training:
Will train on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Medical Center.
Physical Environment:
Radiation safety and universal precautions practiced in a multi modality imaging department.
Physical Effort:
Possesses the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include: physically manipulate and operate
equipment, assist in the movement of patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to table; bend, twist, stoop; lift 20 pounds; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; make appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations; and demonstrate emotional stability and psychological health in day to day interaction with fellow employees, patients, their families, and physicians. Must be willing to take call for STAT studies after hours and on weekends and must be available within 30 minutes.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Checks patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
- Questions female patients (ages 12-50) regarding the possibility of pregnancy and properly documents information in record.
- Communicates potential or existing problems/opportunities to improve quality of care or services.
- Strives to maintain the dignity of each patient by ensuring the patient is properly covered at all times; during exam and patient transport.
- Seeks opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always makes good use of time.
- Working environment is clean, organized, well stocked, and free of clutter.
- Follows nuclear medicine isotope procedure process during the administration of an isotope.
- Shows leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and makes appropriate decisions.

- Volunteers for overtime and fill-in when needed.
- Ensures the safety of patients by following all safety procedures while moving patients from wheelchair or stretcher to table and watching patient while on table.
- Communicates and follows through with fellow employees to ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
Overview:
Providing technical and clerical assistance in imaging to include patient flow activities, patient screening, assisting patients, maintaining supply, and assisting technologists as needed. Provides functions associated with remote cardiac monitoring when patients are off nursing units in MRI.
Responsibilities:
1. Thorough knowledge of patient care. Provide an environment of patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality. 2. Performs patient assessment to include but not limited to vital signs, patient procedural education, completing procedural screening worksheets and / or consent forms and documentation. 3. Provides cardiac monitor for telemetry patients when they are off nursing unit in MRI. 4. Assist with patient transfers in imaging and positioning patients on procedure tables. 5. Performs related technical and / or clerical duties as instructed by professional staff. 6. Facilitates task necessary for the general efficiency, tidiness, and smooth operations of the assigned work area. 7. Ensure department meets all regulatory standards.Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High school graduate with recent experience in cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation.Practical knowledge of human anatomy, or previous radiology experience.
