The Benefits Specialist will support a book of 65–85 clients, providing consultation, onboarding, and ongoing service for employee benefits programs. The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for up to three Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist positions in the Upadhyayula Lab, in the area of Biological Science .
The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. The Production Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating production machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications. The Production Operator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
- Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
- Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
- Start lube pump as required by the order.
- Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
- Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty instructors at Saint Xavier University are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as in-person, online, hybrid and/or blended formats, with a preference towards in-person instruction. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, departmental communication, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

The Production Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating production machines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the product meets required specifications. The Production Operator may work in one of three areas - Spooling, Stranding or Closing, and is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machines. The Production Operator works under the direct supervision of a Production Supervisor and the technical oversight of the Process Engineering and Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Remove empty bobbins from the previously completed order and load full bundles of wire or bobbins using appropriate lifting devices.
- Weld or knot new wire new supply to trailing end of previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire or strands through guides, tension rollers, and/or stranding or pre-forming heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding/pre-forming head, crushing rollers, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
- Adjust tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
- Start lube pump as required by the order.
- Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
- Inspect the set-change, including cutting a strand for helix-height measurement before requesting approval from the production supervisor.
- Properly tag product, stage in proper storage area, and record all production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.

Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician II performs acceptance testing and inspection activities on in-process and finished goods to ensure products meet established requirements. This role is responsible for executing testing and inspection tasks accurately, documenting results in a timely manner, and supporting quality system compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
The position is onsite 5 days a week. This is a first shift position with hours from 6am-2:30pm. There may be a possibility for overtime via extended hours or weekends.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Perform functional acceptance testing, destructive, non-desand inspections on products assembled on the manufacturing floorin accordance withapproved procedures and test methods.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on in-process and finished goods (e.g., Visual Inspection, Seal Width, Length, Water Entry Pressure, Instron Testing, Radial Burst, Borescope, Spectrophotometry).
- Conductindependentreview of Shop Floor Paperwork (SFP) to verify completeness and accuracy prior to product release or further processing.
- Identifyand subject non-conforming materials to the NCMR processin accordance withestablished quality procedures.
- Ensure all testing is performed according to established procedures, protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Read,comprehend, and follow job instructions, procedures, protocols, and work-related documents, including verbal and written directions.
- Train Inspectors on acceptance testing methods, applicable procedures, and newly implemented policies, as assigned.
- Assess daily priorities and adjustownwork schedule as needed to support operational requirements.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required;Associate orBachelor'sdegree in science, Math, Business, ora relatedfield preferred.
- Minimum of 2 yearsof experience in a quality function or regulated environment, or a bachelor's degree or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
- Experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred; medical device experience strongly preferred.

- Prior Instron testing experience or prior training in one of the following Instron operator courses-Series IX, Merlin, or Blue Hill-is preferred.

Pay Range InformationThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply.
