As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Elliott Manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to apply learned knowledge and skills while gaining valuable hands-on experience to start your career in Engineering. This internship will provide exposure to a manufacturing plant while also supporting other CentroMotion businesses remotely.
Responsibilities:
1. Establish inventory of manufacturing and quality control tooling.
2. Utilize existing Gage Control software to track tooling (if possible).
3. Establish physical storage locations for all tooling.
4. Implement 6S for tooling, so that missing tooling can be easily physically identified.
5. Establish check-in/check-out process for tooling.
6. Review QC tooling and ensure quantities of tools are appropriate for each tool type (too many/too little).
7. Look for opportunities to reduce QC calibrations for unnecessary and overabundance of tools.
8. Work with operators to create work instructions

About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Operations team, based in Richmond, California. This role is ideal for a developing, hands-on manufacturing engineer who enjoys working directly in production environments and supplier facilities. Unlike a purely internal manufacturing role, this engineer will serve as the โeyes and earsโ of the Manufacturing Operations team, spending significant time in the field supporting suppliers, qualifying tooling and production lines, auditing manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality and operational readiness across our supply base. Responsibilities
- Supplier Industrialization & Manufacturing Support
- Support qualification and ramp of supplier production lines, tooling, and manufacturing processes

Our Manufacturing Operations Manager directs, maintains, and oversees execution of assembly, manufacturing, and production activities for the manufacturing plant which includes safety, yield, productivity, labor, cost, production schedule, quality, continuous process improvements to meet established business goals. What are we looking for?

- 7-10+years of manufacturing (i.e., assembly, cutting, machining, fabrication, welding, painting, etc.) experience.
- 5+years of progressively responsible manufacturing supervision/management experience.
- Practical experience applying Lean and Total Quality Production System (TQPS) principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of, and practical work experience with, manufacturing industry equipment, processes, and production systems.

This role is accountable for achieving senior-level competence Plans and presents engineering program and product design reviews for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Develops and requests design and specification change releases. Assesses and communicates impact of engineering initiatives to functional groups. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced technical depth, measurable impact on production performance, and the ability to mentor mid-level and entry-level engineers while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. Pay Range: $110,00.00 to $137,000.00 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, release, and maintain detailed technical work instructions for the manufacture and repair of aerospace metallic structures and assemblies, ensuring full compliance with customer(s) engineering definition and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with CNC Programming group to develop and implement manufacturing plan for complex metallic machined components/assemblies.
- Provide advanced technical support to Quality and Operations teams to achieve site-level Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery (SCQD) objectives; act as a primary escalation point for complex manufacturing issues.
- Partner with Purchasing and Sales during the quoting process to define manufacturing approach, assess technical risk, establish labor standards, and ensure cost competitiveness.
- Establish and validate operational standard hours using time studies and process analysis; drive accuracy in routing and capacity planning assumptions.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and model-based definitions to ensure manufacturability; translate design requirements into controlled shop-floor documentation.
- Train and mentor operators and junior engineers on manufacturing methods, process controls, and quality standards; elevate overall technical capability of the team.
- Lead productivity and cost-reduction initiatives through Lean principles, waste elimination, and process optimization; quantify and report measurable performance improvements.
- Develop, validate, and industrialize manufacturing processes for new product introduction (NPI), ensuring processes meet defined capability, repeatability, and quality targets prior to production release.
- Evaluate nonconforming components and determine repair feasibility; develop and validate repair schemes in coordination with Engineering and Quality functions

Position Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or relevant technical discipline, or HS Diploma/GED w/equivalent composite/aerospace manufacturing/repair experience. 5+ years of technical experience with composites and/or aerospace components production or repair.
Desired Characteristics

What Will You Do
- Develop, implement and maintain a manufacturing plan for multi-plant operations using a Supply Chain Management scheduling system. Review and make recommendations for approving the Master Schedule for sequence of models in assembly by reviewing machining, labor and material constraints.
- Maintain strong attention to material utilization, process flow, cycle time and inventory management.
- Monitor, revise and control execution of the plan on the shop floor using a Supply Chain Management scheduling system. Prioritize the sequences of manufacturing work orders; adjust queue times, move times and lead times to improve throughput.
- Assist in the development of the shop floor production strategy. Review the throughput capacity requirements planning (CRP) report weekly with manufacturing management looking for short-term problems at selected work centers. Review the throughput Load-to-Capacity reports monthly with appropriate management looking for potential long-term constraints associated with manufacturing and assembly work centers. Suggest the use of overtime as required.
- Meet quarterly with sales and operations management to review sales forecast numbers of existing products and new forecast numbers from new product introductions. Using the APS, create a Load to Capacity chart to determine and evaluate the impact of machinery, materials, methods, environment and people for all manufacturing divisions: casegoods, upholstery and bedding.
- Work closely with P &IC Managers in other facilities to make recommendations and implement necessary changes to manufacturing systems to improve flow of materials to achieve standardization of planning systems throughout the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the manufacturing plan and the results of its execution with the goal of meeting or exceeding scheduled completion goals for each facility. Work with P &IC Managers and planners to make recommended changes to Advanced Scheduling Systems (through-put) model.
- Assist with directing the activities of the Manufacturing Supply chain planner; collaborate with P &IC supervision, planners and clerical personnel to resolve planning issues and provide training and education in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), MAPICS XA, APICS, CPIM and CSCP.

About the Role
The Advanced Manufacturing Manager will lead the Advanced Manufacturing team to drive the development and integration of factory automation, manufacturing tooling and new technology to deliver results to achieve strategic goals to support manufacturing growth. JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineer supports manufacturing sustainment operations and new product introductions (NPI) for advanced AI/ML and GPU-accelerated server rack platforms. This role is responsible for optimizing production systems to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability objectives are achieved. This position is part of the core team launching new manufacturing technologies at our production facility in Florence, KY. SHIFT / SCHEDULE :

The Manufacturing (Process) Engineer โ PVCO in our Wichita, TX plant plays a critical role in advancing PVCO manufacturing excellence. This position is responsible for optimizing processes, strengthening product quality, supporting operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D to ensure safe, stable, and efficient PVCO production while enhancing technical capability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced knowledge of PVCO manufacturing, including extrusion, orientation, cooling, belling, testing, and packaging systems
- Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, efficiency, and reliability
- Identify and implement process improvements, waste reduction strategies, and cost-saving initiatives
- Support equipment setup, validation, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Create and maintain clear work instructions, process documentation, and troubleshooting guides
- Support and deliver technical training for operators, technicians, and supervisors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale new materials, tooling, and process innovations
- Support capital projects including equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and technology improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials/Polymer, Industrial, or related discipline)
- 3โ7 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Experience in plastics extrusion, pipe manufacturing, or polymer processing preferred
- Strong understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to develop clear technical documentation and operator-focused work instructions
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing data analysis tools
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLC interfaces, and process controls preferred
- Experience supporting or leading capital projects is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed (initial training in Canada)

About the Role
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer designs, implements, and supports software systems that manage and monitor production processes within Chemlineโs manufacturing facility. This role focuses on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation integration, and production data systems to improve real-time visibility, efficiency, and quality control.
Working at an intermediate professional level, the Manufacturing Systems Engineer collaborates with operations, quality, maintenance, and IT teams to align software configuration with manufacturing workflows. The role ensures that production automation and control systems meet established safety, quality, and reliability standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
MES Development & System Management
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to track production output, quality metrics, and operational performance.
- Align system functionality with plant operations to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
- Support enhancements and upgrades to manufacturing software platforms.
Data Collection & Reporting
- Gather data from machines, automation systems, and operators to build dashboards, databases, and reports.
- Develop and maintain performance monitoring tools to provide real-time production visibility.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
Automation & Systems Integration
- Integrate automation and control systems with manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support implementation of new production technologies and digital initiatives.
- Ensure system compatibility between production equipment and IT infrastructure.
Safety, Quality & Reliability
- Ensure production automation systems meet company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support validation and documentation of system changes affecting quality or compliance.
- Participate in troubleshooting system issues impacting production performance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and IT teams.
- Assist in resolving technical issues that affect plant operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and digital transformation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2โ4 years of related experience in manufacturing systems, automation, or industrial software environments.
- Experience working with MES platforms, industrial databases, or production monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of automation integration and production control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial networking.
- Experience building dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Ignition, similar platforms).
Work performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments. May require time on the production floor interacting with equipment and operators. Must comply with plant safety policies and PPE requirements when in operational areas.
This is an intermediate-level professional role (P02). The incumbent works independently on assigned projects but may be occasionally directed on more complex tasks. The role is gaining exposure to advanced system integration and manufacturing technology initiatives.
