Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Government & Capital Property Specialist to support the Property Management team in Tukwila or Des Moines, Washington.
The Associate Government & Capital Property Specialist will support the lifecycle management of Government Property. Integrating with functional groups across the business and supporting cross functional teams with processes and procedures that support a healthy Property Management System.
This position provides an opportunity to directly support a variety of customers both internal and external to Boeing, including the franchise P-8A Poseidon and KC-46A Pegasus programs. position is in an environment that is often fast-paced and requires the ability to manage competing schedules and be responsive to varied customer needs. Position Responsibilities:
Administers the terms of contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report and dispose of property
Assists in performing audits, documenting processes and procedures and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property
Learns to determine property acquisition requirements, product availability and authority to fulfill company, program or contractual obligations
Uses off-the-shelf software or Boeing system tools to manage and communicate property information and to establish property records for company or government property
Maintains accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy
Conducts physical inventory of property and reconciles results to ensure compliance with regulations
Assists in verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations
Learns to confirm that service work is scheduled and performed in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts, corporate policy or recommended industry standards
Learns how to determine when property is allowable, reasonable, allocable and utilized in accordance with company or contract requirements
Performs disposition of property identified by company, legal or contractual requirements
Assists with inventory adjustments, liability determinations and title issues
Handles basic property related activities at completion or termination of contract
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Operations team, based in Richmond, California. This role is ideal for a developing, hands-on manufacturing engineer who enjoys working directly in production environments and supplier facilities. Unlike a purely internal manufacturing role, this engineer will serve as the “eyes and ears” of the Manufacturing Operations team, spending significant time in the field supporting suppliers, qualifying tooling and production lines, auditing manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality and operational readiness across our supply base. The ideal candidate will bring experience in one or more core manufacturing processes such as metal stamping, machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, extrusion, or cold heading, with strong preference for metal stamping in high-volume production environments. This role requires adaptability, strong documentation and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in smaller, fast-moving manufacturing environments with limited structure or support. This position is hybrid and best suited for candidates local to the Bay Area, with frequent travel (approximately 30–40%) to supplier and manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Industrialization & Manufacturing Support
- Support qualification and ramp of supplier production lines, tooling, and manufacturing processes
- Conduct supplier audits, process validations, and manufacturing inspections
- Partner with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues and improve production stability
- Support PPAP, line validation, and tooling readiness across the supply base
- Serve as a key field liaison between Pegasus engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners
- Manufacturing Process & Production Support
- Apply hands-on manufacturing knowledge across processes such as stamping, machining, casting, extrusion, or cold heading
- Assist with process development, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and troubleshoot production and quality issues at supplier and manufacturing sites
- Support creation of SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation

Qualifications

- Experience in at least one core manufacturing process (metal stamping strongly preferred; machining, sheet metal, casting, extrusion, or cold heading also valued)
- Experience working in smaller manufacturing environments (family-run, startup, or sub-50 employee facilities preferred)
- Experience supporting tooling, PPAP, supplier qualification, or production line validation
- Experience with quality systems required

About the Role
As a Global Procurement & Trade Manager, you will own supplier procurement, purchase execution, and manage international trade operations across Pegasus’s global supply chain. Pay range and compensation package
Work location – While the position can largely be remote, it is expected that the Global Procurement & Trade Manager will be onsite a few days each month for team collaboration and to coordinate inventory count validation. Travel – The position will require periodic travel to interface with supply chain partners and to attend trade shows.
