Payroll & Benefits Manager (U.S. & Canada)
We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead the accurate, compliant, and timely administration of payroll and employee benefits for approximately 100 employees across the United States and Canada. This role serves as the subject matter expert for payroll processing, benefits administration, and related compliance, while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver an excellent employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, including salaried and hourly staff
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations
- Administer payroll taxes, filings, and remittances (e.g., IRS, CRA, and state/provincial agencies)
- Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and benefit deductions
- Manage year-end processes, including W-2s, T4s, and related reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll vendors and auditors
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Manage benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations for U.S. and Canadian employees

Technicians are responsible for performing accurate and timely electromechanical support, training, upgrades, and repair of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced electromechanical support in the after-sales phase for all automated warehouse installation projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.

At Big Bear Engine Company we specialize in medium and heavy duty diesel engine replacement for the construction, oil and gas, agriculture, over-the-road trucking, government and equipment rental industries. We offer both component built and remanufactured long block engines as well as related parts to businesses that have a down engine in the field. Our engines are found in variety of equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, compactors, street sweepers, forklifts, wood chippers and more. Brands we specialize in are Caterpillar ®, Cummins ®, Detroit Diesel ®, John Deere ®, Mack ®, Komastu ® and Perkins ®. In addition to heavy duty engine replacement the job will also require interfacing with the light duty enthusiast market. These customers are hobbyists looking to drop a diesel engine into a classic car, hot-rod or rock crawler project. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, fuel systems and ancillary parts however expert level skills are not required.
We offer an extensive training period which will help guide you through how to find the right replacement engine for the customer. Ideally this is a sales position first and we are looking for someone with a varied sales background, (a natural salesperson) vs. someone who may have worked in the automotive industry that isn't necessarily sales focused. We can teach product knowledge but we can't teach charisma and a natural Type-A personality. Once you get going you'll find taking diesel engine replacement calls is fairly straightforward and there is little pushback from the customer. These are B2B customers with a piece of equipment down and need a replacement engine ASAP. Most sales are very quick happening within a day or two of first contact.

· This position requires a proactive leader, who has a strong work ethic, and is a self-starter who can interact with the public and our employees.
· You will need to know your way around mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc. - how to operate plus preventative maintenance.
· If you don't already have them, you must be willing to complete training to get all required certifications and licenses within 6 months, if required.

Job Description: Processes and prepares pathology and cytology specimens, as defined by CLIA, for pathologist and cytotechnologist interpretation. Job duties may consist of routine and special staining procedures, IHC and ISH, Mohs and routine frozen sections as required in the diagnosis, treatment and management of pathologic conditions on patients of all ages. Problem solving skills, participation in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting are required.

How You’ll Contribute
Serve as the QA champion on assigned projects, ensuring quality standards are met across web, mobile, and API solutions.
Design and execute a variety of tests (functional, regression, performance, end-to-end, etc.) and deliver clear, timely results.
Develop and maintain automated test cases for new and existing features to improve speed and accuracy.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to analyze requirements, create test strategies, and validate business needs.
Document defects, track resolutions, and provide metrics to support continuous improvement.
Support troubleshooting of production issues and assist in knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
5–7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, with a strong background in software testing.
Proficiency with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
Hands-on experience with Cypress for automated testing (required).
Ability to develop automated tests in Java or JavaScript, with knowledge of shell scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
Experience working with source control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong understanding of web services testing and familiarity with databases such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or DynamoDB.
Solid experience testing web applications across multiple browsers and mobile applications on both Android and iOS.
Familiarity with specialized testing areas including Accessibility, Security, Performance, and Automation.
Bonus: Prior mobile application testing or software development experience is considered an asset.

Build and support Terraform modules, Kubernetes manifests, and GitOps pipelines that power the platform and developer portal.
Help implement security guardrails and automated controls across our cloud environments.
Contribute to CI/CD workflows using any modern tooling (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
Participate in platform demos, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
Partner with senior engineers to implement new platform capabilities and automation.
Help implement Kubernetes security measures, such as network security
