As a Principal System Safety Engineer, you will be accountable for the establishment and execution of the major safety programs. The Safety Lead is a technical expert in missile safety as well as a project manager who establishes and monitors safety program execution, leads program safety teams, and interfaces with program & functional leadership. This requires advanced application of MIL-STD 882E for System Safety (hardware, software, firmware, and personnel) for DoD Missile systems, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience as well as project management experience and leadership. What You Will Do
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Principal System Safety Engineer to join us onsite as a Safety Lead with proven experience in executing all aspects of system safety.
- Developing and implementing one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).
- Practical application of project management skills:
- Create/update the strategy for the program to meet all its milestones with system safety features integrated into the product in compliance with contract and awarded funding.
- Create a schedule and integrate safety tasks and activities into program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Plan/manage the safety program effort within the Program IMS.
- Understanding of the safety budget and tasking through close coordination with the responsible CAM / IPTL / product owner, including EACs.
- Mentor junior safety engineers.
- Actively engage in engineering review boards, and configuration control boards to stay on top of design changes and assess impacts to the established safety program.
- Establish on-going feedback loop with functional and program management.
- Lead & coordinate System Safety Working Group(s) between key Raytheon and Customer representatives.
- Escalate risks to the appropriate level and follow through on corrective actions.
- Interpret system requirements, customer specifications and military standards, to recommend compliance strategies to program leadership: Chief Engineer, Program Manager, Integrated Product Team Lead, etc.
- Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across a range of engineering functions to identify and mitigate risks: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Environmental Safety, & Health, Human Systems Interfaces, Test Engineering.
- Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessing fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance.
- Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities from design, fabrication, integration and test, production to demilitarization and disposal phases
- Manage safety-related interactions with suppliers and/or subcontractors.
- Innovate better safety solutions.
- Identify best practices to improve overall safety culture at Raytheon.
- Understand and shape system safety/Human System Interfaces postures across the lifecycle (design, integration/ test, flight test, production, field, returns).
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). This includes hardware and software safety related tasks.
- Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882 / DO-178.
- Experience with presentation skills to brief safety status to safety approval authority at technical reviews, safety review boards, and others as part of the safety approval process.
- Experience managing a safety program.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across a range of engineering functions to identify and mitigate risks.
- Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Position Responsibilities:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation of ground systems design artifacts, including requirements, verification/test procedures, interfaces, behaviors, and architecture
- Partner with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

The HRIS Analyst provides day-to-day operational and project support for the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). This role serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and partners closely with HR subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, system optimization, reporting accuracy, and process improvement. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRIS-related upgrades and initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Support HRIS implementation projects and programs across all functional areas, including compensation, benefits, onboarding, recruitment, time and attendance, applicant tracking, performance management, training, and change management
- Serve as a technical expert supporting the maintenance of new and existing HR systems and programs
- Act as the HRIS security administrator
- Lead HRIS reporting efforts, including development, maintenance, and governance of the reports library
- Provide customer support to HR teams and employee-related services, including Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS)
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and influence outcomes using appropriate communication skills

The Safety, Security & Airworthiness organization is seeking to fill a Senior Manager position within the Enterprise Regulatory Administration team. This position is responsible for teams associated with the administration, oversight, and support of the FAA appointed Boeing Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Unit, including Engineering Unit Members, Inspection Unit Members, and Project Administrators who perform functions on behalf of the FAA. This includes overseeing the appointment, training, and annual assessment of the ODA Unit Members. Position Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of support for the environmental test technician team Provide mentorship and guidance to each member of the team via both frequent 1:1s and formal performance review periods Establish career development plans and foster individual growth to unlock each member's maximum potential and facilitate their desired career trajectory Advocate for the team and cultivate an environment where they can be successful Manage communication within the team by providing context/rationale for higher level decisions Develop cross-training initiatives, staffing plans, and a robust recruiting pipeline to support the growing needs of the business Establish and increase the efficiency of business processes to maximize output, limit burden, and enable products to rapidly transition from engineering development to high-rate production Leverage cross-functional relationships to help identify improvement opportunities, align on priorities, and execute initiatives to reduce lead time, labor hours, etc Leverage data to establish, monitor, and improve manufacturing metrics enveloping safety, quality, delivery, and cost Enable manufacturing autonomy by challenging requirements, simplifying work processes, and automating actions Partner with peer engineering teams to implement design changes in response to manufacturing issues and departmental standardization initiatives Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum of 2 years of experience leading technician teams Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience running functional, vibration, and thermal tests for small assemblies Experience working with various manufacturing execution systems This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
