Role: Tank Prep / Process Operator

You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer, including:
- Reading and understanding Bills of Materials (BOMs), instructions and drawings.
- Inspection of tank and cover for defects
- Complete quality check of welded areas to meet manufacturing procedures and rework/repaint if required.
- Clean out all threads on tank and cover with tap/die and vacuum debris.
- Rotate cover and install and wire Current Transformers (CTs) per engineering design.
- Cut and install floor insulation and hardware before tanking.
- Cut insulation and install shunts on tank walls prior to tanking.
- Prep and install radiators after welding of cover.
- Move transformer and parts to and from weld booth as required.
- Assist in Final Assembly as needed.

The School offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biology, an M.S. degree in Bioinformatics, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physiology. It also participates in the interdisciplinary B.S. degree programs in Neuroscience and Environmental Science, and interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Bioinformatics, Neuroscience and Neurotechnology, Quantitative Biosciences, Ocean Science and Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Job Summary
The Subjective Uncertainty and Belief Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of PI Mark Himmelstein and in collaboration with David Budescu of Fordham University.
Responsibilities
The responsibility of the position is to support an NSF grant funded project for using planned missing data research designs to estimate how people use advice to revise their judgments without requiring them to directly report their independent prior beliefs first. There are two directions this position could potentially be focused on, which would ideally overlap:
- Developing new cognitive models for how people revise probability judgments.
- Extending research designs that use planned missing data methods for addressing measurement reactivity areas beyond just advice taking research.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Psychology, Computational Social Science, Economics, Data Science or a related field by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Theoretical background in topics related to judgment and decision making, preferably advice taking research and Judge Advisor Systems.
- Experience in either psychometric or computational cognitive modeling.
- Experience with missing data imputation methods.

The Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) is a 300,659 sq. ft. facility located on Ferst Drive on the west side of campus. The complex is a unique expansion of the existing swimming and diving venue built for the 1996 Olympic Games. Campus Recreation provides a premier recreation fitness center, aquatic center, recreation fields, and leadership challenge course for the Georgia Tech community. Job Summary
Perform and supervise a variety of activities involving the physical care of and sports equipment support for Georgia Tech sport club athletes. May include prevention and treatment of injuries; therapy, coordination of medications, first aid/CPR training, equipment movement and storage; and liaison with physician and healthcare facilities. Specific duties may vary based on sports team assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform first aid; treat or refer injuries.
- Assist in rehabilitation efforts
- Maintain and furnish safety equipment and supplies
- Provide first aid and CPR training to staff and coaches
- Liaise with outside physicians and healthcare facilities and services regarding healthcare delivery
- Prepare and maintain training records and reports
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience
Must be BOC licensed Athletic Trainer
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires a working knowledge of preventive physical care for athletes, injury treatment and rehabilitation methodology as applied within a intercollegiate sports program environment. Also required are skills in supervision, first aid and CPR.
