Overview

We’re looking for a high-energy Inside Sales Account Manager who can run day-to-day customer needs and also convert inbound warm leads into new programs. You’ll own customer communication, coordinate internal execution, and move opportunities forward, from initial request to quote to launch.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building and follow-through, has a sales mindset, and can comfortably pick up the phone to progress warm opportunities. You won’t be expected to do heavy cold calling, but you should be willing to do light outbound(follow-ups, reactivating old leads, and reaching out to similar prospects) to keep the pipeline active.

What You’ll Do

Account Management & Customer Execution

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and keep communication clear, fast, and organized.
• Coordinate programs with Production, Scheduling, Procurement, Quality, and Shipping to ensure smooth execution.
• Track key job details (specs, BOMs, artwork, packaging components, ship dates) and keep documentation current.
• Provide status updates, resolve issues, and ensure customers stay confident in timelines and deliverables.

Inbound Warm Leads + New Business Support

• Take ownership of inbound lead flow (website inquiries, referrals, existing customer requests, warm introductions).
• Qualify inbound requests: understand product, volume, packaging format, timelines, and success criteria.
• Coordinate internal inputs to build quotes and proposals (scope, assumptions, lead times, and pricing support).
• Follow up consistently to move opportunities from request → quote → decision → launch.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts (new SKUs, new formats, value-added services).
• Perform light outbound to drive growth: re-engage past inquiries, follow up on dormant quotes, and outreach to lookalike prospects in targeted categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of experience in account management, customer service, inside sales, logistics, or manufacturing/operations support.
• Comfortable speaking with customers, asking good questions, and following up until there’s a clear next step.
• Strong organization: able to manage multiple active opportunities and projects at once.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; CRM experience is a plus.
• Practical, team-first mindset; able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to contract packaging, co-manufacturing, fulfillment, or CPG.
• Familiarity with packaging components (labels, cartons, corrugate, films) and retail requirements.
• Experience in SQF/GMP or quality documentation environments.

A Trim and Door Estimator analyzes blueprints and specifications to calculate precise material (moulding, doors, hardware) and labor costs for construction projects. They perform quantity takeoffs, prepare detailed bids/proposals, and collaborate with vendors and project managers to ensure accurate, competitive pricing.

Essential Functions

• Create materials lists for the specific purposes of costing and purchasing correct material.
• Will be involved in material costing in addition to performing take offs.
• Reading plans and creating take offs.
• Meeting with customers or making changes.

Competencies

• Ability to review a given set of architectural drawings and estimate the costs for the various materials, hardware, siding, windows, and doors.

• Be the daily subject matter expert for your packaging team

• Coordination with packaging team and warehouse team on resource sharing/production

• Evaluate proposed production schedule with Packaging Manager, identifying and 

communicating scheduling adjustments as necessary

Ensure that proper sanitation/cleanliness is maintained in the assigned Packaging Line 

as well as assigned facility areas

compliance management

• Effective, constructive, and efficient coordination, communication, and collaboration 

with all members of the Impact Beverage Staff, especially members of the packaging

Job Title: Medical Device Packaging Design Engineer

Location: On-site in Huntley, IL

Position Brief:

The Chatham Group Advanced Materials and Technologies Recruiting Team is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Medical Device Packaging Design Engineer for a client in the specialty packaging technology industry. This is a mid-junior level position that requires hands-on experience with rigid thermoformed packaging design concepts with experience in medical device packaging and sterile polymer barrier systems. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams to deliver compliant and production ready packaging solutions for new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Design medical device packaging systems from initial concept through testing and production using CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
• Use CAD programs to develop 3D models and assemblies as well as 2D drawings for specification
• Evaluate various polymeric materials such as PET, HIPS, Polypropylene, etc for their performance properties such as wall thickness, strength, rigidity, sterilization, and more
• Create prototype products using existing tooling or 3D printing technologies and conduct feasibility reviews for functional integrity, stackability, etc
• Lead the IQ/OQ/PQ product validation process and comply with ISO 13485 standards for medical device quality
• Manage ISO 11607-1 and ISO 11607-2 compliance process for medical device packaging sterilization

Requirements:

• BS in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or Mechanical Engineering
• 4-5 years of experience in packaging design with ideally around 2 years of experience in medical device packaging
• High proficiency with CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
• Working knowledge of thin-gauge thermoformed packing design
• Understanding of medical packaging standards, sterilization techniques, etc
• Experience with clean room manufacturing environments

This is a mid-junior level position that requires hands-on experience with rigid thermoformed packaging design concepts with experience in sustainable food grade and/or consumer packaging technology and manufacturing methods. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams to deliver compliant and production ready packaging solutions for new and existing products.

Responsibilities:

• Design food device packaging systems from initial concept through testing and production using CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
• Focus on Thermoforming technologies to develop portion-separated trays, blister packs, tubs, clamshells, etc
• Use CAD programs to develop 3D models and assemblies as well as 2D drawings for specification
• Evaluate various polymeric materials such as PET, HIPS, PVC, etc for their performance properties such as wall thickness, strength, rigidity, and more
• Create prototype products using new or existing tooling, and/or 3D printing technologies and conduct feasibility reviews for functional integrity, stackability, etc
• Lead the IQ/OQ/PQ product validation process and comply with ISO manufacturing quality standards

Requirements:

• BS in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other highly relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging design preferably in thermoformed food grade or consumer packaging
• High proficiency with CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
• Working knowledge of thin-gauge thermoformed packing design
• Understanding of product lifecycle and circularity in packaging design
• Ability to conduct market research and potentially attend trade shows

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and relocation may be provided to qualified candidates.

• Perform moderate to complex adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on packaging and pneumatic equipment.
• Conduct machine changeovers, troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems, and make appropriate repairs.
• Execute daily preventative maintenance on packaging equipment, conveyors, compressors, and assist with equipment installations.
• Complete work orders for machinery repairs, interpret equipment manuals, diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust equipment.
• Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in daily tasks.
• Set up full line configurations independently, identifying and reporting any faulty operations or defective materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cGMPs, ethical practices, and SOPs, completing documentation such as operation logs and batch records accurately.
• Perform quality inspections during operations, adhering to product quality standards, and execute all required sampling and testing.
• Train and guide Packaging Operators in safe and effective machine operation, including breakdown and sanitation tasks.
• Adhere to proper gowning and hygiene as per SOPs and cGMPs, promoting a safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
• Support other mechanical or maintenance needs as required and maintain regular, punctual attendance with flexibility for extended hours and occasional weekend overtime.
  
  

• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.
  
  

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of bottle packaging lines, including troubleshooting, repairs, setup, and disassembly.
• 2+ years of experience in nutraceutical, supplement, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing in a maintenance mechanic role for bottle packaging lines.
  
  

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work orders.
• Proficient in using measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, scales, and Volt/Ohm Meters.
• Familiarity with cGMP and OSHA standards; strong mechanical aptitude for machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Basic English reading and writing skills, with PLC knowledge being an added advantage.
• General proficiency with PCs.
