Job Summary

The Design Engineering Manager (DEM) performs a variety of management, design, and drafting activities including structural analysis and design, preparing fabrication and installation drawings for construction projects, material order and project management. The DEM will take a construction project from start to finish for all engineering-related activities. The DEM reports to the Executive Vice President and should have the potential of working into a senior manager role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and prepare design analyses on concrete foundations, towers, bridges, hanger systems, and other structural elements of a construction project.

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and site layout drawings.

• Conduct surveying and layout at construction projects.

• Direct other engineers through projects.

• Work directly with and aid in managing the manufacturing shop processes.

• Review blueprints, plans, specifications and other customer documentation.

• Works on guidelines for installation drawings, which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings prepared for the customer.

• Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations.

• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (e.g. drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.

• Work with customers and their representatives to determine project needs, requirements, and ensure timing of all required engineering-related activities meet the project schedule.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (structural focus) and at least 5 years (preferred 10) experience in the structural engineering and drafting field.

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities while managing the procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for the ITW ECS business units. This role ensures that production schedules, material availability, and supplier performance align to meet customer demand, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support overall operational efficiency. This is a full-time, onsite position in Bartlett, IL. Only local candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and capacity constraints
• Coordinate daily production planning activities with operations, ensuring labor, equipment, and materials are properly allocated
• Monitor work‑in‑process and finished goods levels to ensure on‑time order completion
• Communicate schedule changes or risks to operations, customer service, and leadership

Material Planning & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) within the ERP system
• Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet production schedules while minimizing excess or obsolete stock
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on shortages, delays, or inventory inaccuracies and implement corrective actions
• Track safety stock levels and update planning parameters as needed

Purchasing & Supplier Management

• Source, select, and purchase raw materials, components, and indirect supplies in alignment with production needs
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.
• Track and publish critical supply chain metrics, including customer and supplier on-time delivery.
• Follow up on open purchase orders, expedite materials when needed, and resolve delivery or quality issues
• Maintain accurate vendor records and purchasing data in the ERP system

Capacity & Resource Planning

• Analyze production capacity, equipment constraints, and labor availability to ensure feasible schedules
• Recommend adjustments to staffing levels, shift schedules, or outsourcing when required to meet demand
• Partner with engineering on new products, engineering changes, and phase-outs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with procurement, operations, engineering, customer service, and quality to maintain smooth production flow
• Communicate proactively regarding material constraints, schedule risks, and priority changes
• Support S&OP processes by providing data on capacity, demand, inventory, and supplier performance

Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance material flow and scheduling accuracy
• Improve planning tools, part parameters, and forecasting methods
• Participate in cost-reduction efforts through sourcing, inventory optimization, and process efficiencies

Minimum Required Skills and Education

• High School Diploma required
• 3 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Excel and planning tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory control principles
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English

Preferred Skills and Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field
• Experience with Epicor ERP preferred

Work Conditions

• Primarily office environment, but may require periodic walking throughout the facility to coordinate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams

Compensation range: $30-$32 per hour

Who We Are Looking For:

The Vice President of Product & Consumer Experience, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer is a builder-operator owning Product Management and Consumer(B2C) Marketing end-to-end (strategy, budget, team and execution), alongside championing AI-driven innovation to drive product growth, consumer and partner engagement. This role partners with the existing B2B Marketing and Data Science functions while building out the B2C/consumer-marketing muscle. It also owns the end-to-end product investment thesis, contributes an independent voice in executive decisions, and helps shape our stakeholder experience with measurable outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Product Strategy & Execution:

• Define and manage the product roadmap covering core features and AI-embedded/AI-powered capabilities with clear metrics such as revenue growth and user engagement.
• Drive an AI vision identifying high-ROI use cases, embedding ML models and generative AI into consumer-facing features, and deploying AI tooling that shortens spec-to-release cycles across Product, Engineering, and QA.
• Align roadmap priorities with business objectives and market trends through close collaboration with Engineering, InfoSec, Compliance, Data Science, B2B Marketing and the executive team.
• Work with engineering to develop products based on data insights that drive measurable results.
• Lead build vs. buy evaluations (in‐house, partnership, or M&A) and steer post‐acquisition "integrate vs. stand‐alone" decisions and execution.
• Join key Client QBRs and Vendor Councils; translate field insights into roadmap bets that unlock upsell revenue and partner performance

Consumer Experience:

• Own, develop and execute consumer marketing strategy (acquisition, retention, loyalty and growth) while collaborating with the B2B Marketing leader for cross-channel cohesion.
• Ensure full alignment of consumer marketing and product roadmaps (both technology and in-person experience).
• Own Consumer Satisfaction & Marketing KPIs and budget; apply analytics to optimize spend and performance.
• Build the consumer-marketing function: hire, mentor, and scale a data-driven team (growth, lifecycle, creative) that works hand-in-glove with Product.
• Run a test-and-learn engine, designing experiments, analyzing results, and iterating rapidly, using modern analytics and Data Science models to personalize outreach and offers.

Data Science and Consumer Insights:

• Work with the leader of Data Science to embed DS models (pricing, personalization, forecasting) into product features while keeping DS an independent "truth‐teller" for enterprise KPIs.
• Improve segmentation, pricing, and targeting to enhance consumer insights and outcomes.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Sales, and Operations to drive product-led growth and innovation.
• Work with other senior leaders to establish decision-making frameworks and clear accountability for strategic initiatives.
• Represent consumer needs to inform executive-level strategic decisions.

  The salary range for this role is $230,000-$250,000. The salary is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to: work experience, training, location and skills.

  This role will require upwards of 25% travel and will be based in Fooda's Chicago headquarters. Candidates will be asked to be in Fooda's office 3+ days a week.
