Qualifications and Technical Competencies

• 10+ years leading Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics and/or AI / ML-focused teams
• 5-7 years managing agile projects (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• 3-5 years managing people (direct reports, manager of managers)
• Demonstrable success working with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, RedShift, Synapse)
• Demonstrable success delivering AI / ML initiatives (Natural Language Processing, Predictive Modeling, Statistical Modeling)
• Advanced proficiency in common data engineering tools (R, Python, DBT, SQL, Azure Data Factory)
• Advanced proficiency in common visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant tertiary education

Base Salary Range: $225,00-$265,000. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations, the Project Manager is the execution engine behind Plug’s most crucial cross-functional initiatives. You will partner closely with Operations, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to turn operational problems into shipped products, reliable automations, and clean, decision-ready data.

You will drive projects end-to-end — from discovery to rollout — ensuring improvements across titles, payments, transport, arbitration, and dealer workflows are delivered on time, adopted successfully, and built on strong operational insight.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

• Lead initiatives from discovery → scoping → planning → delivery → adoption.
• Maintain timelines, RAID logs, project plans, and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment, risk mitigation, and timely decision-making.

Turn Operational Needs Into Product Requirements

• Translate workflows and pain points into clear PRDs and user stories.
• Define acceptance criteria and support sprint planning/backlog management.
• Ensure product builds reflect real operational needs and optimize user efficiency.

Automation Design & Implementation

• Build and maintain workflow automations using Zapier/Make, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Apps Script/Python, or webhooks.
• Identify manual steps and design solutions to reduce cycle times and error rates.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Create lightweight analyses, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
• Provide insights that help leadership prioritize projects and assess impact.

Data Quality & Standards

• Define data hygiene standards, validation rules, and audit routines.
• Lead deduplication and issue resolution to maintain clean data pipelines.

Change Management & Enablement

• Run UAT, pilot features, write SOPs/playbooks, train users, and support rollout.
• Monitor adoption and iterate based on feedback and usage telemetry.

Vendor, Partner & Integration Coordination

• Coordinate with third-party partners and internal system owners.
• Ensure API, integration, and process changes are delivered accurately and on schedule.

The Product Development Manager is a technical leader and hands-on contributor in the apparel product creation process. This role partners closely with Design, Fabric R&D, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, and vendors to translate design concepts into manufacturable, high-quality, margin-conscious product. You will manage seasonal development from concept through handoff, ensuring prototypes, BOMs, and key milestones are delivered accurately and on time while coaching junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate design intent into executable prototypes, providing clear guidance on construction, materials, trims, and finishes.
• Approve construction methods and work with vendors to identify feasible, cost-appropriate solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend material or construction alternatives to support margin goals without sacrificing quality.
• Review samples for accuracy, craftsmanship, fit alignment, and adherence to specifications.
• Use PLM and related tools to maintain accurate BOMs, version control, and development data integrity.
• Troubleshoot development issues and partner with Technical Design on construction and fit challenges.
• Own the seasonal development calendar for assigned categories, ensuring all cross-functional milestones are met.
• Track and enforce development KPIs (e.g., on-time proto delivery, BOM accuracy, approval cycle timing).
• Support cost engineering and should-cost alignment with Sourcing; track cost changes and material commitments.
• Anticipate and respond to supply chain disruptions with proactive solution options.
• Manage day-to-day vendor communication, timelines, expectations, and accountability to deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Sourcing, Tech Design, Planning, and Merchandising to ensure alignment and timely execution.
• Communicate technical information clearly and document key development decisions.
• Coach and review work of junior developers, ensuring process consistency and technical rigor.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of product development or product creation experience in apparel or closely related fields.
• Deep knowledge of materials, trims, garment construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience turning design concepts into executable, production-ready product.
• Strong PLM skills with a track record of maintaining accurate BOMs and development data.
• Experience with cost engineering and identifying feasible construction or material alternatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience coaching junior team members and reviewing work for accuracy and completeness.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage large projects or full seasonal development cycles.
