Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Integral Fuel Tank Sealer to join our Joint and Installation team in Everett and Renton, Washington.
As an Integral Fuel Tank Sealer, you will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety during the sealing and assembly processes. Utilizing detailed installation plans and specifications, you will prepare tank surfaces, load sealing equipment, and apply sealants and topcoats according to established guidelines. Conducting thorough inspections and shakedowns of work areas prior to tank closure will ensure that any damaged seals or components are repaired and that all systems are functioning correctly. You will also assist with pressure testing operations and perform functional tests on fuel vent systems to identify and address any leaks. Your attention to detail will be critical in determining the appropriate sealing compounds and methods for each task, ensuring compliance. Please note that this role involves working in tight spaces, including entering the wing through a 9.5”X17.7" opening; therefore, comfort with confined spaces is essential for success in this position.

Position Responsibilities:
Obtain daily work assignments from the lead or supervisor and review relevant Installation Plans (IP) and Shop Order Instants (SOI) to determine the work area.
Gather necessary sealants, solvents, cleaners, and wipers from the designated storage area.
Install ventilation equipment as required to ensure proper airflow in the work cavity.
Clean tank surfaces using appropriate solvents or detergents, ensuring they are wiped dry.
Clean and adjust sealing equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Load sealing guns and apply sealant and/or topcoat per BAC specifications, including fillet seals to system components and sealing heads and collars of fasteners.
Perform a shake-down of work areas prior to tank closure to repair any damaged seals or components and prepare for inspection.
Apply wing station identification numbers on tank doors using stencils and spray paint as required.
Install fuel tank closure panels or access doors after all necessary steps are complete and accepted by quality assurance.
Assist with pressure testing operations and perform functional tests on fuel vent systems and tank cavities to determine if leaks exist.
Submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors for acceptance or rejection.
Determine proper sealing compounds, sequence of work, and method of application to accomplish assignments.
Apply aerodynamic seals to skin gaps on leading and trailing edge panels as required.
Position tools for locating vortex generators and apply faying surface seals as needed.
Maintain personal and tool certifications, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and contact supervisors for assistance when needed.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs integral to both small and large-scale hydro and dam projects. You will lead and mentor teams, support management of production and coordinate delivery of engineering work products often with multi-disciplinary project team members and external stakeholders. You will not only support and help grow the broader engineering team capabilities, but your particular focus will be on continuing the development of our hydropower capabilities and working with key staff in growing the business.
You’ll also be involved in supporting project management duties, coordinating with internal and external clients as well as assisting with guiding and mentoring other engineers within the team. In this role you will lead teams conducting technical work for feasibility studies, engineering designs, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and carrying out inspections for rehabilitation projects for dams and hydroelectric facilities. Your particular focus will be design delivery and mentorship, but you will also be involved in the proposal process. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a great team of engineers, technicians, scientists, and other industry-leading peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input to those managing and executing multiple projects (small to large) from the proposal stage through to completion
- Establish connections with other departments to support and enhance service delivery
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines and multidisciplinary project teams to execute project deliverables, as well as ensure that quality objectives, schedules, and budgets are met
- Mentor junior staff
- Design modifications to, or entirely new electrical, instrumentation, and controls systems related to dams, control structures, water retaining structures, switchyards and hydroelectric generating stations
- Conduct feasibility studies for proposed designs and assess costs and benefits for alternatives in a systematic and thorough manner.
- Manage and execute multiple projects from the proposal stage through to completion; Projects will include a variety of small to large projects involving water resources, flood control and hydroelectric sectors
- Prepare and review reports
- Perform calculations
- Conduct inspections and support project work on site as required
- Edit and prepare design specifications
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and facilitate the KGS’s QA/QC process.
- Contribute to the development of the electrical engineering practice at KGS by assisting the electrical design leadership by documenting technical knowledge, improving internal production processes, coordinating and developing internal training content, and other tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned
About You
To fill the role, we’re looking for an applicant to bring forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights should include:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university; A post-graduate degree is an asset
- Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in electrical engineering with demonstrated project management skills (tracking budgets and meeting schedules)
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Washington, Oregon, or California, as well as eligible for registration as a professional engineer in other states via comity within three months of starting.
- Previous consulting experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Candidate must be self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to effectively assume a lead role as project engineer and communicate project and technical information with clients
- Demonstrated experience in site investigations, condition assessments, design and construction support are preferred
- Experience with station service distribution (all voltages), medium voltage equipment, fixed bus power distribution systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation (for equipment control), generators and transformers including related monitoring systems, communication systems, system grounding, hoists and gate automation and balance of plant systems for hydroelectric stations preferred, but industrial experience will be considered
- Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
- Backup power systems (including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Direct Current systems and fuel fired backup)
- Lighting (including emergency and exit lighting systems)
- Fiber and copper structured cable systems, and associated networking equipment
- Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLC Automation, Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) integration (including any programming experience)
- Protection systems experience, including specifying, setting and verifying (include reference to voltages)
- Load flow analysis, system modelling, arc-flash, grounding, and other electrical studies (include reference to software used and any training)
- North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) planning
- Physical or cyber security planning or design
- Unit outage planning
- Other renewable energy experience
- Travel to project sites is usually limited but is required depending on project/client requirements. The amount of travel time desired by our employees can usually be accommodated.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $155,000 annually.

About the Role
The Head of PMO will lead a team of Program Managers & Program Analysts and is responsible for understanding the overall project critical path, and how small changes to project timelines will impact work-stream interdependencies. This role requires the significant exercise of independent discretion and judgment in matters of significance.

In This Role You Will:
- Be accountable for the execution of all commercial, government and internal strategic programs.

- Lead the team to maintain a comprehensive, integrated issue, Risk, and Decision documentation, as they relate to project timelines and co-dependencies, and coordinate solutions development. Maintain documentation of changes to scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and identify dependency implications.
- Manage the team to ensure that the review of all necessary work plans and related project management documentation are completed in sufficient detail to provide for adequate management and control, as well as consist with overall master schedule and dependencies.
- Oversee the development of communications documents detailing implementation progress for Senior Leadership, Boards, and Regulators, including regular reporting.
- Execute regular PMO Department meetings.
- Optimize governance such that information flows efficiently through the organization.
- Ensure executive level information for program health can be quickly understood through analytics and dashboards.
- Regular travel to AeroTEC facilities and customer locations as often required to support executive business development, project planning, project execution and customer management meetings.
The Skills You Will Bring (Minimum):
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Degree in Engineering preferred).
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Professional Project Management Certifications preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years progressively responsible management experience in the aerospace industry with knowledge of aircraft development, certification, and flight test.
- Proven competence with FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25 certification projects.
- Experience in developing and leading Programs Management office.
- Experience leading and managing through all phases of a Program and project management methodologies.
- Must have experience working with commercial domestic and international customers. Government and defense experience is also preferred.

Controls Engineer Role
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming, multi-protocol industrial networking, and manufacturing/production system experience to support deployment, optimization, and reliability of automated equipment and robotic workcells. This role will work closely with hardware, reliability, and commissioning teams to take systems from integration through production-scale operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems for automated manufacturing and material-handling equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot using IEC 61131-3 languages (Structured Text preferred).
- Integrate motion systems, conveyors, robotics, and safety subsystems into cohesive control architectures.
- Work across multi-protocol industrial environments including EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet, and similar fieldbus/OT networks.
- Support system bring-up, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and production deployment activities.
