Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist to support a commercial herbicide portfolio by generating high-quality biological data essential for new product development and product renewal. This role focuses on conducting controlled environment experiments (greenhouse, growth chambers, and outdoor field settings) to evaluate herbicide performance while adhering to strict scientific protocols and safety standards.

Key Accountabilities

This exciting curriculum integrates:

This unique 26-week program is a combination of classroom and clinical experiences. Participants will work under the supervision of experienced emergency nurses for the length of the program. This program has been devised by the nurses in the Emergency Department at Christiana Hospital. This program allows for a smooth transition from GN to the ED staff RN role into ED nursing, for those candidates qualified. The 26-week preceptor led program will be followed by continued residency meetings during months 8, 10, and 12 to further develop as professional nurses and integral members of our caregiver team.

Christiana Care Newark Campus is the only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center between Philadelphia and Baltimore. ChristianaCare Wilmington Campus is a Level 3 Adult Trauma Center. Middletown Emergency Department is a freestanding ED. Our Emergency Departments see approximately 195,000 patients annually, servicing an average of 500 patients per day in combined visits from all 3 departments. There are 162 patient rooms, including state-of-the-art trauma resuscitation facilities between the 3 departments.
Upon successful program completion, you will be hired as a staff nurse in one of the 3 Emergency Departments within ChristianaCare. Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware prior to starting position. Upon hire, a commitment agreement to work at the ChristianaCare will be signed. Up to 16 weeks (as determined by your individual transition to practice needs) of preceptor-led clinical experiences structured to foster critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development.
Our medical and surgical nursing units at Newark and Wilmington campuses serve an adolescent/adult/geriatric population with a wide variety of complex diagnoses and surgical procedures. Nurses having successfully completed the residency will have built a strong foundation for nursing practice in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The preceptor led program followed by continued residency meetings during months 8, 10, and 12 to further develop as professional nurses and integral members of our caregiver team.
Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware (or compact state) prior to starting position. Upon hire, a commitment agreement to work at ChristianaCare will be signed. The agreement requires completion of two years within ChristianaCare and 15 months of those two years on the unit of hire. Individuals unable to fill this commitment will be charged $10,000.

The progressive care nurse resident will complete preceptor-led training on our intermediate or transitional level step-down units at our Newark or Wilmington campuses. The nurse resident completes preceptor-led training followed by continued residency meetings during months 6, 8, 10, and 12 to further develop as professional nurses and integral member of our caregiver team.
Upon completion of this program, participants will have built a strong foundation for nursing practice in a fast-paced, challenging environment, bridging care for medically complex patients outside of the Intensive Care Unit.
Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Delaware (or compact state) prior to starting position. This role provides professional nursing care in the Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology Laboratory, supporting advanced cardiac, structural heart, and neuro-interventional procedures.
Cardiovascular & EP Lab RN Key Responsibilities: Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, electrophysiology procedures (ablations, device insertions/revisions), structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAAO), and interventional neurology procedures (carotid stenting, stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm embolization, TCAR).
Prepare patients and procedure areas for safe, efficient care.
Conduct cardiac tests and monitor patients using advanced cardiology equipment.
Administer procedural sedation according to hospital policies.
Document patient care and procedural details accurately in electronic systems.
Provide patient handoffs and ensure safety and privacy standards are maintained.
Participate in preceptorship and ongoing professional development, including specialty certifications.
Cardiovascular & EP Lab RN Qualifications: Required: RN licensure in Delaware Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma acceptable if degree completed within 36 months of hire Preferred: Experience in Cardiovascular and EP Lab procedures Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Cardiovascular & EP Lab RN Additional Information: Candidates must be able to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
