The General Manager (GM) –Battery Testing is responsible for the full P&L, operational leadership, commercial growth, and regulatory compliance of a mobility-focused TIC laboratory. The lab supports automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and advanced mobility customers with testing, inspection, and certification services.
The GM ensures technical excellence, regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable mobility standards), strong client relationships, and profitable growth while maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L & Business Leadership
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for the mobility laboratory.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
- Drive revenue growth across automotive, EV, aerospace, rail, and next-gen mobility sectors.
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, margin, utilization, backlog, and cash flow.
- Optimize cost structure while maintaining service quality and accreditation compliance.
2. Commercial & Customer Strategy
- Partner with Sales and Business Development to grow key accounts and strategic OEM relationships.
- Identify new service opportunities (battery testing, EMC, environmental, durability, ADAS validation, etc.).
- Strengthen relationships with mobility OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Represent the lab in industry forums and with regulatory bodies.
3. Operations & Technical Oversight
- Oversee daily laboratory operations including testing, scheduling, capacity planning, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure compliance with International Organization for Standardization ISO/IEC 17025 and other applicable standards (SAE, IEC, UL, FMVSS, etc.).
- Maintain accreditations through bodies such as ANAB or equivalent.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, automation).
- Ensure capital investment planning aligns with market demand and ROI targets.
4. Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain rigorous adherence to safety and quality systems.
- Lead internal and external audits.
- Manage risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure testing integrity and data reliability for certification purposes.
5. People Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering, technicians, quality, and commercial staff.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing technical talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer focus.
- Develop succession planning and leadership bench strength.
6. Strategic Growth & Innovation
- Evaluate new testing technologies (EV battery abuse testing, hydrogen systems, autonomous systems validation).
- Expand lab capabilities in alignment with electrification and advanced mobility trends.
- Support digital transformation initiatives (LIMS, automation, data analytics).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field required)
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 10+ years in TIC, automotive testing, aerospace testing, or related technical services
- 5+ years in senior leadership or GM-level responsibility
- Demonstrated P&L management experience
- Strong knowledge of mobility regulatory frameworks and certification pathways

Trek Store Okemos
As Service Manager, you'll be the operations lead for your store's Service Centerand you'll be the one who's ultimately accountable for all decisions relating to workflow, staffing of mechanics, and KPIs to ensure every customer has the best experience.
You'll be the primary service advisor at the shop, integrating the sales and service experience, while holding your team accountable for delivering Trek's signature hospitality. That means you'll need to be a great communicator and leader who knows how to get the best out of your colleagues.
You'll train your team, engage with customers to recommend the right service at the right time, manage and control service costs, keep service orders organized, ensure a clean and efficient department and take an active lead in ensuring the right bikes are built and delivered to the sales floor and your customers. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will manage all communication from the Service Department to customers and write more than 50% of the work orders for the shop.
This role is right for someone with high energy and a constant learning engine who can see the forest and the trees. You'll be challenged to develop your employees, find efficiencies by reviewing service reports, and anticipate your shop's needs so both the service and sales teams are set up for success.

Day to Day:
As a Transportation Design Engineer, you will work on roadway and transportation design projects, applying your civil engineering expertise to develop plans. Your daily tasks include creating and refining designs using MicroStation with Open Roads or AutoCAD with Civil 3D to ensure accuracy and compliance. You’ll collaborate with project managers and team members to review design specifications, resolve technical challenges, and maintain project schedules. Site visits will be part of your routine, where you’ll assess conditions and ensure adherence to safety codes and requirements. You’ll sometimes coordinate with clients and stakeholders to incorporate feedback and deliver high-quality solutions. Throughout each project, you’ll monitor design progress and maintain documentation to support successful project delivery.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a forward-thinking SDET to help modernize and lead our test automation strategy. This role will focus on building and maintaining scalable, maintainable, and integrated test automation frameworks across UI and API layers using modern tools like Playwright and TypeScript, while also contributing to CI/CD testing integration. The SDET will also play a key role in supporting manual testing efforts within Agile feature teams—guiding test case design, exploratory testing, and quality validation for areas not yet automated. This position is critical to enabling feature teams to take ownership of both automated and manual testing, ensuring faster, higher-quality releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Partner with Agile feature teams to understand user stories, define acceptance criteria, and promote a test-first mindset through collaboration in design and refinement sessions.
· Build, maintain, and evolve test automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred), TypeScript, or other enterprise-approved tools to support API and UI testing.
· Drive the transition from legacy frameworks (e.g., Selenium + Java, Postman/Newman) to unified automation aligned with our CI/CD strategy.
· Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure test cases are executed in CI pipelines and provide fast, actionable feedback.
· Support feature teams with manual testing efforts when needed, including test case design, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows that are not yet automated.
· Develop and maintain automated API tests (REST/SOAP) and end-to-end tests that validate functional and non-functional requirements.
· Participate in code reviews and contribute to test architecture decisions to ensure reliability, reusability, and scalability of test assets.
· Write and maintain SQL queries to validate data integrity and support test data creation strategies.
· Serve as a quality engineering champion—help guide automation strategy, mentoring peers, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices.
· Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects, and support compliance with enterprise policies (e.g., HIPAA, security, audit readiness).
Preferred Experience:
· Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript preferred) or similar frameworks like Cypress.
· Migration experience from Selenium + Java or Postman to modern frameworks.
· Familiarity with test reporting, dashboarding, and quality metrics in a DevOps environment.
· Experience with test case management tools (e.g., qTest, QMetry, TestRail) and requirements traceability.
The role combines security administration, BO universe maintenance, SQL/batch scripting, DevOps support, HR load validation, and PowerPlatform solution maintenance.
Secondary duties include providing backup support for .NET development and PowerPlatform applications.
