This position reports to: Continuous Improvement Specialist/Lean

Your role and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support Op-Ex and CI initiatives across Operations, ensuring timely execution with measurable results.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and value stream map review sessions to identify and eliminate waste via PDCA and DMAIC.
- Track and report on project progress, KPIs, and cost savings using standardized metrics and digital task management platforms & dashboards.
- Partner with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to standardize best practices and drive sustainable improvements.
- Provide training and coaching on Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assist in investigating non-conformances and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.

Qualifications for the role:
- Ability to demonstrate experience in lean management, advanced problem solving techniques, performance management, Kaizen facilitation and have established the relevant industry skills associated with at least 5 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education and professional certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication skills appropriate for all levels of the organization.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 toolkit and a working knowledge of business intelligence software such as Power BI, Minitab, Celonis, etc.

JOB SUMMARY
A Quality Technician II ensures the products meet the required quality standards and specifications. You train Quality Technician Is in our processes and how to use proper inspection techniques. You begin to do complex inspections and assemblies. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and delivering high-quality components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand inspection requirements.
- Performs visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Checks parts for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Identifies and documents any non-conformities or deviations and discusses them with a Quality Technician III.
- Maintains detailed records of inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any deviations from quality standards.
- Assembles components when required.
- Deburrs any sharp edges that call for an edge break.
- Cleans parts to customer-supplied requirements.
- Fills out or checks inspection reports to ensure proper documentation of all quality-related data.

The hourly rate for this position is $26.20 per hour + $2.50 per hour shift premium. The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

The Quality Technician reviews service tickets while creating and maintaining corrective actions up to closure each day. They document new/updated procedures due to corrective actions from quality escapes, troubleshoot issues, and complete containment. They monitor conformance to quality standards, audit the production floor for quality issues, and keep quality metrics up to date. They interact with the Warranty, Production, Marketing, and Engineering teams as required.
In this function, you will:
- Investigate the cause of nonconforming product and initiate the corrective action necessary to prevent recurrence.
- Implement and record changes in procedures resulting from corrective action.
- Draft and distribute training programs, procedures including work instructions and Quality Alerts
- Perform internal audits on assembly inspection functions and finished product quality audits
- Update quality metrics and tier boards.
- Assume limited responsibility in the absence of the Quality Engineer. Perform special projects as directed by the Quality Engineer.
- Act as a quality liaison to our internal customers by supporting production with quality-related issues and by introducing new hires to the quality process.
- Complete containment or special actions through ITS based on customer requirements.
- Complete routine weekly oil samples
- Backup calibration technician duties as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required (Basic) Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 1 year of assembly or testing experience in a manufacturing setting.

What you'll do:
The lead assembler is responsible welding aluminum, copper, and also for hooking up leads on secondary and primary coils and accessories for single and three phase transformers.
In this function, you will:
Position and shape the leads for proper clearances within tank.
MIG welds aluminum leads to bus bars, bus bars to stub-outs.
TIG welds copper bus bars.
Welds, glues, and crimps secondary leads to coil.
Assembles and hooks up dual voltage switches, tap changers singularly or in gangs and other accessories required. Must take into consideration the positioning, clearances, etc., required for tanking.
Fit, and cut braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout. Bolts onto core and coil frame.
Measure and cut the leads to proper lengths. Measure, cut, strip, insulate and crimp terminals on other required leads.
Does fabrication rework on cores & parts called for by NCR's and ECN's by engineering.
Minor coil repair, as needed.
Forklift and Overhead Crane competency.

A&C is seeking a *Licensed Civil Engineer* to join our Civil Engineering Department at our office located in Watertown, NY.
The successful candidate will work with our Civil Engineering team working on designs related to land planning, site, roadway, and utility infrastructure design. Being a relatively smaller design firm, this position will also include such duties as construction inspection, AutoCAD drafting, project design, preliminary design markups, design calculations, report preparation, client meetings and board meeting presentations. Within this position you will work managing projects under the general guidance of a principal.
This position will require fieldwork travel.

· Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
· 6 - 12 years of qualifying civil engineering design experience

· Successful experience in site design, roadway design for subdivisions and local roads, drainage analysis and design, development of plans, specifications and cost estimates.

A&C is committed to offering fair and equitable compensation. The pay range listed is an approximation of our good faith effort to provide an anticipated wage range. The specific salary offered is dependent on the candidate’s relevant experience, education, certifications, and licensure.
