Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Front-Line Production & Test Engineering Manager to lead production, assembly, and verification of custom-designed and fabricated printed circuit boards (PCBs) and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for the Electronic Products and Design (EPD) team in Kent, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with PCB design for flight hardware: understanding of multi-layer board stack-ups, controlled impedance, high-speed signal integrity, differential pair routing, and power distribution network design.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes: board fabrication technologies, via types (through-hole, blind/buried, microvias), copper plating, soldermask/legend, and surface finish options.
• Experience specifying and qualifying PCB suppliers and contract manufacturers: supplier audits, capability assessment, lead-time negotiation, and transfer of design data to manufacturers with clear assembly/inspection requirements.
• Understanding of assembly considerations: pick-and-place constraints, component footprint validation, stencil design, solder paste processes, reflow profiles, and wave/hand soldering where applicable.
• Proficiency in manufacturing documentation and process control for PCB production: creation/review of assembly drawings, process work instructions, soldering procedures, rework guidelines, and in-process inspection criteria.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills: able to coordinate across design engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and quality teams.
• Demonstrated familiarity with quality and manufacturing systems such as AS9100, ISO standards, and corrective action processes.
• Practical understanding of test methods and instrumentation (functional test, environmental, vibration, thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC) and data acquisition/analysis tools.
• Experience with production processes: assembly work instructions, tooling, fixtures, tolerance stack-up, process capability and manufacturing principles.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs; familiarity with configuration management and technical documentation control.
• Proficiency with manufacturing/test software tools and basic data literacy for KPI tracking.
• Ability to plan, budget, and schedule production/test activities, including resource allocation and risk mitigation for on-time delivery.

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Multiprogram Engineering organization is seeking a firstline manager to lead the Thermal and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team in Everett, WA.

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on technical leadership and program management role responsible for delivering detailed thermal and airflow analyses across Boeing commercial and military derivative airplane programs. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts and engineers to produce highquality, timely results that support design trade studies, certification, supplier engagement, and inservice troubleshooting. 

This role blends people leadership, technical mentorship, and program execution. You will champion technical excellence, foster a collaborative culture, and partner with systems, structures, interiors, and the technical fellowship to support our biggest projects in BCA as well as grow tools and capabilities for the future. 

Key Position Responsibilities: 

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Thermal & CFD team: set priorities, establish clear expectations, conduct performance feedback, and grow technical depth across roles (lead, analysts, TLE, BDE). 

• Plan and manage the team Statement of Work (SOW): prioritize requests, track progress to plan, and balance capacity across concurrent commercial and military derivative programs. 

• Deliver technical results: ensure CFD and thermal analysis artifacts (models, scripts, reports, and presentations) meet accuracy, traceability, and documentation standards. 

• Represent ECS in program reviews, supplier meetings, and customer discussions: prepare and present technical briefings, decision materials, and status updates to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. 

• Coordinate multidisciplinary execution: interface with systems, structures, interiors, electrical, and manufacturing teams to align analyses with program needs and certification requirements. 

• Advocate for safety and quality: identify and communicate risks, propose mitigation plans, and ensure outputs support certification and operational safety cases. 

• Resource, budget, and computing stewardship: lead staffing plans, forecast resourcing, and manage budget; coordinate with IT for HPC access, licenses, and data storage required to complete the SOW. 

• Drive technical strategy: partner with the technical fellowship to evaluate and implement future tools, automation, and capability improvements (e.g., mesh automation, workflow orchestration, surrogate modeling). 

• Foster a high performing, inclusive organization: recruit talent, promote continuous learning, and model Boeing’s values. 

• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure alignment and successful delivery. 

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including thermal and/or CFD work. 

• 3+ years of experience leading or supervising engineering teams. 

• Strong background in fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis. 

• Practical experience with CFD and thermal tools (examples: ANSYS Fluent, CFX, STARCCM+, Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT) or comparable industry software. 

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver against schedule, cost, and performance goals. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical topics to diverse audiences. 

Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years conducting thermal analysis evaluations for aerospace systems.

• Experience with high performance computing (HPC) environments, license management, and CFD workflow automation. 

• Knowledge of certification processes and regulatory requirements relevant to environmental control and thermal systems. 

• Experience managing technical work and coordinating across global teams. 

• Prior success implementing team capability growth plans and mentoring early career engineers.

We are seeking an experienced aerospace research leader to direct and grow multidisciplinary research focused on flight-in icing prediction capabilities for aircraft and propulsion systems. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in aerodynamic icing analysis and testing with demonstrated leadership as a principal investigator and program manager to execute research projects, develop strategic technology roadmaps, and maintain strong partnerships with government, industry, regulators, and academia.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards.
• Serve as Principal Investigator or technical lead for developing enhanced analytic and testing methods for ice crystals and ice shape prediction.
• Supports wind tunnel testing, ground testing and flight testing at local and remote facilities.

As an engineer in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Safety and Compliance Investigations (S&CI) team, you will have the opportunity to work independently while leading teams tasked with performing detailed Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance issues. This activity enables program and functional leadership to understand the systemic root causes of compliance issues and implement effective corrective actions that contain the issue and prevent recurrence. This position offers exposure to all aspects of airplane certification across the airplane lifecycle. The importance of this function can’t be over-stated as you will contribute to Boeing product safety by maintaining and restoring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Investigations typically follow the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) process, which provides a

Position Overview:

• Leads the functional engineering organizations (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) through the structured investigation process for issues related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, Self-Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances.
• Coordinates closely with Boeing functional groups, management and executives, and suppliers to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the investigation’s status and resolution.
• Works with the functional groups within Boeing to investigate the regulatory compliance issue by identifying the problem statement, developing a comprehensive root cause investigation that leads to systemic root causes, developing containment actions, actions to prevent recurrence, and actions to verify non-recurrence.
• Coordinates closely with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) to ensure the investigation write-up meets regulatory expectations.
• Partners with enterprise groups to continuously improve our processes and tools to ensure we are ready for the future of BCA and to ensure these processes are consistent with the greater Boeing Enterprise.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Seasonal Parks Laborers perform general labor tasks as assigned to contribute to the development and maintenance of City public grounds and moorage facility.

Each Laborer works as part of a team to conduct routine maintenance and park development which includes cleaning restrooms, picnic shelters, and other City facilities as well as opening and closing parks daily, addressing customer concerns as they arise, collecting garbage, and picking up litter. Depending on the team of assignment, the Seasonal Laborers perform their work under supervision to maintain park landscaping, turf, sport fields, trees, boardwalks, buildings, equipment, and natural areas undergoing habitat restoration. Please note the specific tasks listed below.

All Laborers positions will operate vehicles, equipment, and a variety of hand and small power tools as required to complete their assigned tasks.

Essential Duties

• Hand mows spaces not accessible by tractor-mowers.
• Trims grass and cuts weeds with an edger or weed eater.
• Raking leaves, spreading sand and soil, installing park benches and cleaning the docks.
• Waters vegetation on City facility grounds.
• Remove debris with mechanical blower.
• Makes garbage runs at City facilities. This includes emptying garbage cans, picking up litter and debris.
• Landscape installation to include planting, weeding and bed maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with hand equipment and small engine maintenance and repair.
• Set up equipment where necessary.
• Painting and staining as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge and/or experience in landscape services.
• Basic knowledge in landscape maintenance.
• Skills to use basic mowing equipment.
• Basic knowledge in horticulture.
• Ability to read directional maps.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License and maintain ability to operate a City pick-up truck.
• Must meet minimum age requirements under Department of Labor and Industries regulations (age 18).

Physical Abilities
Must be able to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Walk, kneel, bend for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions
Performs work outdoors in inclement weather. May work weekends or staggered schedule.

Union Affiliation
Seasonal Laborers are not represented by a union until they exceed 347 hours service. Thereafter, they are represented by the Teamsters union, with membership options that will be provided upon employment. These hours are additive from a previous year of service unless the returning employee has a break in service between seasons of twelve months or more.

Benefits
This position receives sick leave.
