The Role We Want You For
The Site Safety Manager will provide support to the Project Staff and the Clayco safety team in an effort to execute corporate safety and health standards and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. In addition to your project responsibilities, you shall participate in and complete all assignments designated to you. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting in development of a zero injury safety culture on each project, conducting at least weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, effectively communicate orientations for all new project workers, assist with and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analysis, actively promote and participate in daily stretch and flex program, identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents, support corporate goals and initiatives, emphasize and support proactive safety such as near miss/hazard reporting, coach and recognize workers on safe work methods, report all incidents in an effective and timely manner following established protocols and be a champion in motivating workers to perform their jobs safely! Your responsibilities will be all encompassing for each project you will be dedicated to.
The Specifics of the Role
- Assist in development of the project safety program.
- Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees. Administer and record their participation in the orientation program and issue identification to those employees completing the orientation program.
- Attend all initial meetings with the project staff and subcontractor representatives to clearly define their role within the confines of the project safety program.
- Manage larger projects up to $160M.
- Client interfacing.
- Manage other Clayco Safety Supervisors on the project.
- Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor representatives to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on site.
- Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and with project staff to ensure proper compliance.
- Facilitate training for site personnel and ensure that standards are per the OSHA/Clayco and in compliance with Federal and State standards.
- Ensure and maintain a log of each subcontractor toolbox safety meeting.
- Review each subcontractor’s safety program and ensure that it meets or exceeds the project safety program requirements.
- Ensure that each subcontractor designates a safety representative that is properly trained in subcontractor’s scope of work and has the proper authority to correct safety issues.
- Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections and complete the safety checklist noting safety violations and corrective actions.
- Record, notify and prepare written report of any violations or unsafe practices to subcontractors for immediate correction actions.
- Stop at once any violation or unsafe acts or practices.
- Assist the Project Superintendent in establishing and implementing proper fire prevention, evacuation, and fire control procedures.
- Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports.
- Establish and maintain all required safety records.
- Conduct a monthly overview safety meeting and attend project staff meetings to brief on safety issues.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
- 6-12 years of safety experience or combination of education and years of experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques.
- 10+ years of field experience minimum.
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
- Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work at heights, able to climb ladders, access/inspect scaffolding and roof areas.
- Noise level is usually moderate to very loud.
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical ability to safely navigate active construction sites. This may include but is not limited to climbing permanent and temporary stairs or ladders, using construction personnel hoists, ascending and descending ladders, and maneuvering through areas under construction. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Must be able to walk long distances, stand for extended periods without support, and work at various heights as required.
- Ability to access and inspect elevated areas such as scaffolding, rooftops, and other high structures.
- Possess sufficient visual acuity to perform essential job functions such as, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to varying noise levels ranging from moderate to high, which may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and other unpredictable weather.

Chief Estimator
Dallas, TX
The Chief Estimator will be responsible for providing full electrical estimating and proposal preparation for all types of industrial facilities, including both new construction and maintenance, for projects up to $20M in value. Estimates will cover all types of contracts in the energy, mining, power, manufacturing, pulp/paper, agricultural, pharma, and other industries which Loenbro serves.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate attendance to bid meetings and walk throughs at various client locations to determine project scope, complexities, accessibilities, and required content of proposal.
- Review instructions and proposal specifications, drawings, technical data necessary to provide a complete proposal for the customer.
- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, previous proposals, job reports, etc. into unit and man hour figures for cost and production-based estimates.
- Prepare full-scope estimates on small, medium, and large-scale projects, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide a project/estimate turnover and technical support for projects as needed to ensure effective project implementation.
- Review Field Change Orders for assigned projects and provide estimates if necessary.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained to support estimate figures.
- Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other management staff, as needed, in the preparation and final evaluation of bids.
- Secure best possible material and subcontracting costs by evaluating multiple quotes and proposals.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required or assigned by Division Manager.
- Tracking of RFP submissions from receipt to submission to client feedback
- Tracking of win/loss rate (evaluated by both number of estimates and dollar value of estimates)
- Development of historical cost and production database, activity code book, and standardized cost codes
- Delegate/assist project managers with various estimates and RFP responses.
- Constantly evaluate the proposal and RFP response process to look for efficiencies and improvements that can be implemented.
- As needed with revenue growth, build a team to support the estimating process
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years heavy industrial/process facility experience in cost estimating and cost control in the Electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines, and cost control techniques.
- Ability to estimate all types and sizes of projects.
- Ability to prepare complex proposals with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the industries in which Loenbro operates.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills.
- Experience with AccuBid estimating softwar preferred.
- Experience with P6 or similar scheduling software.
- Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.

Completes project closeout/inactivation within prescribed period including the final project billing to obtain full funding.
- Manages conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or Partners. Leads and manages other project managers. Provides leadership, shares technical expertise and experience to other Partners.
- Identifies and develops policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement.
- Assembles estimates for projects. Visits job sites or onsite offices, performs work inspections, checks job progress, and resolves project and contract issues.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in successfully leading projects and programs within the construction or engineering industry.

Role Description
The Senior / Lead Building Engineer will be the on-site technical lead responsible for all building systems and day-to-day engineering operations at several assets in our management portfolio. This individual will oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), life safety, and building automation systems; manage maintenance staff and vendors; and partner closely with the on-site property management and tenant relations team to deliver a best-in-class tenant experience.
This is a full-time, on-site role reporting to the VP of Commercial Property Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, building automation, vertical transportation, and security interfaces).

Qualifications

Site Superintendent
The Superintendent is responsible for the project schedule as it relates to the supervision of all field activities and physical construction. The Superintendent reports to and carries out the direction of the Project Manager regarding field operations, directing daily progress. Key objectives include achieving required quality and completing the project in the shortest possible time. Success depends on adequate staffing, sufficient materials, complete information, and proactive planning to avoid delays.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand the project contract, schedule, and overall scope.
- Maintain the project schedule.
- Thoroughly understand Subcontractor agreements and vendor purchase orders (POs).
- Verify actual work completion with the Project Manager for Subcontractor and Vendor invoices.

General Duties
The superintendent is responsible for the following items, even if delegated to other staff:
- Generating, securing, or confirming all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule continuously.
- Participating in scope reviews of bid packages to coordinate interfaces and avoid omissions or duplicate purchases.
- Identifying field construction and work sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases.
- Monitoring actual versus required performance by all parties.
- Determining whether subcontractors provide sufficient workforce and hours to meet commitments.

This opportunity is with a fast-moving organization in the renewable energy / electromechanical manufacturing space that is expanding its production capabilities. Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Controls to help scale manufacturing, improve quality and reliability, and ensure new products move smoothly from development into full production. The role works closely with both Operations and Product Development and includes a blend of factory-based engineering and field support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and accelerate the transition from pilot builds to consistent production.
- Partner closely with Operations and Product Development to strengthen manufacturability and throughput.
- Create, refine, and maintain work instructions, build guides, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in materials and labor, and lead implementation efforts.

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting management in the general business operations of the company by the coordination, and successful completion of the estimating phase of projects.The overall goal of the Estimator is to provide a thorough, accurate, and competitive estimate that will result in the award of a profitable project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Estimator will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.
- Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues in order to minimize risk to the company.
- Provide thorough, accurate and competitive cost estimates through all phases of design, from concept to construction and permit documents.
- Identify value-engineered alternatives relating to construction methods, materials, schedule, and design.
- Determine proposal specifications and the scope of work by reviewing drawings, attending and/or managing bid and preconstruction meetings, etc.
- Analyze and document cost analysis from historical projects, purchase orders, contracts, and cost reports for future use in incorporating into estimates.
- Provide design assistance and cost data regarding project feasibility to the client, design professionals, and project team.
- Prepare bid package and provide leadership and coordination on bid solicitation and RFP’s.
- Develop scopes of work for sub-trades prior to and during bid solicitation.
