- Reporting to the PLE Advanced Planning & Innovation Manager, this role focuses on engineering planning, innovation, and analysis of new concepts for battery facility design and construction to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency for our construction processes and partners. The candidates should consistently demonstrate attributes of next level capability as outlined in the Toyota Core Competencies and meets expectations of current position.
What you’ll be doing
A Senior Mechanical Engineer for the PLE Advanced Planning & Innovation team will support innovative planning and analysis by:
- Offering technical support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building mechanical system design and pre-construction analysis.
- Conducting studies on innovative technical design and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts.
- Researching and benchmarking industry trends to enhance building design and installation, supporting quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
- Developing and supporting project justifications, business cases, and management presentations.
- Providing technical expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including cross-department collaboration.
