Job Summary: Clinical Partnerships Manager

This is Tono’s first commercial hire. We are looking for a Strategic Builder-Operator to architect our sales engine in the NYC Metro area and beyond.


This role combines the high-velocity execution of pharma field sales with the strategic relationship building of enterprise tech sales. You are not just running a route; you are building an ecosystem.


We are looking for someone who can grind in the field—visiting clinics and solving workflow bottlenecks—but who is equally comfortable "meeting them where they are." Whether that means working the floor at a national conference, hosting a dinner for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), or navigating a complex health system partnership, you are the face of Tono’s growth.


The role responsibilities are 50% field execution, 30% strategic partnerships, 20% systems building.


1. Field execution

  • High-Velocity Outreach: Maintain a consistent presence in high-priority Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Oncology clinics across the Tri-State area.
  • Consultative Activation: You aren't just dropping off brochures. You are consulting with practice managers to optimize their referral workflows, onboarding them to Tono Connect, and embedding Tono as their default dermatology partner.
  • Drive Utilization: Monitor referral patterns and re-engage clinics to ensure ongoing adoption and provider satisfaction.


2. Ecosystem building

  • Meet Them Where They Are: Execute a multi-channel strategy. Identify and attend the conferences, society meetings, mixers, and dinners where clinical decision-makers congregate.
  • Conference Strategy: Represent Tono at regional and national events (e.g., ASCO, local Medical Society meetings). You will work the floor, generate leads, and build Tono’s brand presence.
  • Enterprise Navigation: Move beyond the front desk. Build relationships with Medical Directors, referral managers, and Clinical Leads to drive system-wide adoption rather than just single-clinic usage.


3. Architect the commercial playbook

  • Build the Playbook: Document what works. You will create the "Tono Sales Standard", defining our pitch, our objection handling, and our segmentation strategy.
  • Data & Infrastructure: Implement and manage our CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) to track both high-volume field visits and long-cycle enterprise relationships.
  • Future Leadership: Assist in designing the organizational structure, recruiting, and mentoring the next cohort of territory representatives as we scale.


Qualifications:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in healthcare sales (Pharma, MedTech, Diagnostics, or Provider Relations), Partnerships, or B2B SaaS.

Data, Analytics & Optimization

  • Partner with the Director of MarTech & Analytics to implement a data‑first approach—defining KPIs, running A/B tests, and continuously optimizing content performance to maximize engagement and ROI.


Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five professionals.
  • Establish processes and integrate technology tools that support collaboration, creativity, and efficient workflows.
  • Manage vendors, agencies, and freelancers—ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and performance expectations.
  • Participate in annual planning and budgeting; manage spend throughout the year.


Cross‑Organizational Collaboration

  • Drive and support cross‑departmental initiatives.
  • Present timely updates to colleagues, stakeholders, and senior leadership.


Qualifications/Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, or related field (preferred)
  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years in digital marketing, social media, and direct mail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools ( a plus)
  • Exceptional writing, editorial, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for data analytics, KPI creation, and performance reporting

  • The Detective: You run deep, lengthy discovery sessions to identify root causes of service inefficiency in complex service environments. You connect the dots between technical pain and financial impact to build robust business cases.
  • The Storyteller: You deliver compelling, persona‑based demos that resonate with everyone from the field technician to the contact center agent to the CSO. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Discovery & Diagnosis: Lead deep‑Dive discovery sessions to understand the prospect’s current contact center and field service workflows, data availability, and pain points.
  • Tailored Demonstrations: Configure and deliver compelling product demonstrations that address specific customer use cases, moving beyond generic product capability reviews to show actual business impact.
  • Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Define success criteria and manage the scope of Pre‑Sales POCs. Work side‑by‑side with customer SMEs to validate AI predictions and collect iterative feedback, ensuring full alignment on the value delivered prior to the final executive readout.
  • Value Engineering: Partner with the sales team to build ROI models, helping prospects quantify the value of improving metrics like First Time Fix Rate, Truck Rolls, and Average Handling Time.
  • Technical Validation: Own the technical win. Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, and InfoSec questionnaires, ensuring the customer is comfortable with our architecture and security.
  • Market Feedback: Act as the feedback loop between the market and the Neuron7 Product team, advocating for new product capabilities that will help close future business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pre‑Sales Experience: 5+ years in solution consulting / sales engineering for SaaS product companies. Must have enterprise selling experience and know how to navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Complex Service Domain Knowledge: Deep functional knowledge of contact center and field service use cases. Understand nuances of triage, dispatch, parts management, and the “break‑fix” lifecycle.
