Summary
The Principal Power Engineer develops new electrical systems/circuits for various applications. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed. The Principal Power Engineer works in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Work autonomously and take initiatives to manage team priorities
- Provide technical guidance and support to Staff and Sr. engineers
- Design, develop and implement technical solutions for complex projects. Participate in project planning and scheduling.
- Propose innovative solutions for performance, reliability, and features of system or product.
- Global SME with comprehensive knowledge and industry recognition. Provides technical leadership and direction to a global team of engineers.
- Reviews and interprets customer specifications and may act as primary customer contact.
- Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Develop and lead deployment strategies and plans.
- Lead and manage schematic design, Bills of material, power tree, drawings, board layout, and cross-functional design reviews
- Lead power bring-up, debugging, and support for manufacturing assembly, and deployment
- Takes responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.)
- Lead relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations, and share within team
- Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
- Analyze and create reports and documentation of specifications, design, testing, debugging, and etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Considered a Subject Matter Expert in the area of power design, such as single/multi-phase DC/DC converter, point-of-load converter, LDO, MOSFETs, magnetics, hot-swap circuitry of how-swap controller, load switches, current sense circuit and amplifier, and etc
- Experienced in designing power systems for networking, compute, or storage products
- Experienced in high-current, low-voltage power subsystems for CPU, GPU, ASIC, SoC, and FPGA
- Experienced in PCB stack-up, power planes, and tools used to simulate voltage gradients
- Familiar with schematic capture and CAD layout tools or equivalent ones
- Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as SIMPLIS, PSPICE, and LTSPICE, or equivalent tools
- Experienced with end-to-end power delivery network design, and simulation using circuit simulation tools, Sigrity PowerDC/SI, ANSYS SIWave or equivalent, and board level correlation
- Knowledge of high-density power modules and Vertical Power Delivery (Knowledge on Integrated Voltage Regulator (IVR) is a plus)
- Experienced with power integrity evaluation
- Experienced with design and troubleshooting of power management interfaces such as PMBus, AVS, SVID and SVI2/3.

In the past-year, Nulixir sales have grown ~8x with strong interest from small, mid-size and many large CPG companies to partner with Nulixir and incorporate the technology in their products. Position Overview:

Nulixir, a leader in the food and beverage innovation industry, is searching for a top-tier Associate Scientist reporting to our Director of Product. In this role, you will be responsible for working with a team of scientists to develop a pipeline of new products primarily beverages and further enhance Nulixir’s proprietary technology. High productivity is expected and familiarity with conducting experiments is highly desired. You will be part of a small team working on introducing new products based on customer briefs to address unmet consumer needs and/or resolve technical tensions. Our customers range from small start-ups to large blue-chip companies. We focus on developing functional products that provide a higher nutrition compared to other similar products as the active ingredients in these products are enhanced by our proprietary technology. This role is critical to the success of the organization as you will be expected to lead customer projects and bring it to commercialization which would ultimately enable higher revenue for the company.
Position Location:
This position will be based at our HQ facilities located in the Austin, TX Metropolitan Area.
