NOVA Engineering is currently seeking afully-certified Commercial Building Code Inspector in Panama City Beach FL. Primary duties will include performing building code inspections and/or plans review (building / structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing – as licensed) on residential and commercial buildings, as well as managing specific projects related to these types of code inspections. Some travel may be required for inspections and/or managing projects in the assigned area. The inspector positions are predominately located in the field but may occasionally include office assignments.

Essential Functions:

• Building Code Review and/or Quality Control Inspections on commercial construction projects (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
• Prepare written and electronic reports, and issue notices of correction
• Explain and interpret code and/or quality control regulations or requirements
• Recognize, evaluate and properly resolve unique problems or situations
• Maintain effective customer service relationship with clients and the public
• Assist the inspection management team with business development
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager

Qualifications:

• Required state of Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in two or more of the following disciplines: Building (Structural), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
• 3+ years’ experience performing plan review and/or inspections

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of reinforced concrete work on construction sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Verify proper concrete forming techniques, placement, curing processes, and reinforcement installation.
• Perform quality control tests and collect data related to concrete strength, mix consistency, and material properties through laboratory experience or field testing.
• Monitor masonry work and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, photographs, and checklists; communicate issues promptly to project teams.

Qualifications

• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification required.

The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites enthusiastic applications from highly motivated and talented individuals for a Postdoctoral Scholar position with focus on experimental testing of high-temperature materials, solar receivers, and thermochemical reactors. The Post Doctoral Scholar will be supported by a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) funded three-year project, focusing on the design and lab-scale testing of high-temperature thermochemical reactors for solar and other renewable energy conversion and storage. The scholar will co-lead a collaborative research team with members from three universities, one clean energy start-up company, and a DOE national laboratory (Sandia) for a prototype reactor development and demonstration. The scholar will also help Dr. Li organize group meetings, co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and publish high-impact scientific journal articles and conference papers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or a very closely aligned field.

• Experience in studying fluid-solid interactions, reactive material reduction/oxidation kinetics, and high-temperature radiation transfer is highly desired.
  
• Experience in studying material reactivity at high temperature using TGA/DSC or mass spectrometer is highly desired.
  
• Experience in designing and operating thermal/fluid systems using high-temperature furnaces is desired.
  
• Experience with material characterization such as XRD, SEM, micro-CT scan etc. is desired.
  
• Expertise in experimental design and testing of high-temperature materials and energy systems such as solar receivers, chemical reactors, or heat exchangers.
  
• A team player that is able to work together with external collaborators on chemical reactor design, model validation, and reactor scale-up, and possess good oral and written communication skills.

General Summary of Position:

As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Duties and Responsibilities:

What you can expect as a Director of Quality Engineering:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Business, Product, and Technology leaders, championing enterprise-wide Quality Engineering practices across core platforms, digital channels, and integrations.

What we are looking for as a Director of Quality Engineering:

• At least 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering with 10 years of leading Quality Engineering teams on large enterprise transformation (P&C insurance or financial services preferred).

• Successful history of driving modernization of testing frameworks and practices in Financial Services preferably across Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance.

• Hand-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner and other cloud‑based performance testing tools.

• Proven leadership in building automation frameworks preferably around Guidewire Insurance Suite.

• Experience converting high-value regression and smoke tests from manual to automated suites, prioritizing risk and ROI, and integrating them into CI/CD.

• Experience in modernizing enterprise testing practices through APIs, events, microservices, and data platforms, ideally within Guidewire Insurance Suite, and crafting Quality Engineering strategies that cover both the core and connected digital ecosystem.

• Strong background in leading geographically spread Quality Engineering teams and external partners, ensuring efficiency and accountability through structured RACI models.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication skills — able to liaise between various departments effectively.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proven experience of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to perform well and professionally in a demanding, high performance IT organization.
