Safety Director

The Safety Director leads safety efforts across all regions and works closely with Plant Managers, Trade Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Project Management and other partners to develop and execute strategic initiatives. Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

Leadership

  • Leads and directs regional Safety Teams to ensure alignment across all sites.

  • Reviews project specific safety requirements and ensures compliance with regulatory standards through effective documentation and controls.
  • Monitors manufacturing activities to verify safety adherence across operations.
  • Works directly with customers to resolve safety concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Uses data and analytics to uncover trends and guide decision making.
  • Stays current on industry safety standards and updates the corporate safety program to reflect best practices.
  • Represents the company in safety related hearings and regulatory matters (OSHA, etc.).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field required


Experience:

  • 10 years of safety management experience required

Benefits and Compensation:

  • The range for this position has been established at $121K to $170K per year and is U.S. Engineering Metalwork's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off. Key Responsibilities

Title: Test Engineer III Location: Longmont, CO Note: This is a W2 contract role – this role is NOT open to 1099, C2C, or 3 rd party candidates The Test Engineer III will direct and coordinate engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices.

They will determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted, and phases of test operations.

They will coordinate operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.

They will also analyze and interpret test data, and prepare technical reports of for use by engineering personnel.

In this role, you will design and execute test scripts, analyze test results, and collaborate closely with firmware and system design teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and protocol compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience with firmware validation, automated test development, and debugging complex system interactions within embedded systems or storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and debug automated test scripts for SSD firmware based on design specifications and feature requirements.

Develop and maintain grey-box, black-box, and white-box test cases to validate firmware functionality and system behavior.

Test firmware features including FTL/backend algorithms and cross-feature interactions under real-world workloads and stress conditions.

Execute functional, reliability, performance, and protocol-level validation testing.

Analyze test results and collaborate with firmware engineers to identify root causes and resolve issues.

Manage the end-to-end test development lifecycle in JIRA, including user stories, integration tasks, and defect tracking.

Ensure clear traceability between requirements, test cases, and reported defects.

Collaborate with global validation teams to align testing coverage and support customer-facing and system-level validation scenarios.

Contribute to improvements in validation tools, workflows, and processes to increase testing efficiency and defect detection.

Required Qualifications Experience in firmware testing, validation, or embedded systems testing.

Knowledge of automated test development and scripting.

Experience executing functional, performance, reliability, and protocol validation tests.

Familiarity with JIRA or similar issue tracking systems.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with firmware and system engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications Experience testing SSD or storage firmware.

Understanding of FTL (Flash Translation Layer) or storage backend algorithms.

Familiarity with protocol compliance testing and system-level validation.

Experience working with cross-functional and global engineering teams.
