Job Summary
Under direction of an anesthesiologist or administrator, participates or assists in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation and intravenous methods. Participates under the direction and supervision of a physician in intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants. Performs related duties as required.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
- Assists in post-anesthesia care of patients and keeps the supervising anesthesiologist or surgeon informed of patient's status.
- Assists in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in anesthesiology for introduction into the service.
- Cleans, checks, and restores the anesthesia equipment in the different service areas of the hospital; orders drugs and anesthesia supplies.
- Provides anesthesia services as part of the anesthesiology team model; conducts patient assessments including interview, physical examination and chard review to determine any risks and recommend the appropriate anesthesia; administers anesthesia to patients in surgery, in the labor delivery suite, and in other areas of the hospital involving such procedures as the administration of diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks.
- Responds to "Code Blues" as necessary; assists in resuscitations and difficult intubations, and assists in intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; graduation from a school of anesthesia complying with the standards of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the California State Board of RegisteredNurses.
Minimum Experience: Two years of full-time experience in the administration of anesthetics by inhalation and intravenous methods in an active acute hospital or clinic may be substituted for the educational requirement. Experience in obstetrical and emergency anesthesia and experience in the intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants is considereddesirable.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the California State Board of Registered Nurses
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - issued by AHA - American Heart Association
Pay Range: $144.39 - $187.26 Per Hour
The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Contract Attorney – Litigation (Practice Area TBD)
San Francisco, California | Three-to-Six Month Contract | On-Site
A nationally leading law firm is seeking a contract litigation attorney to join their San Francisco office on an initial three-to-six month engagement. Depending on workload, a second attorney may also be needed.
These attorneys will work closely with and directly support two senior partners. The specific practice area — whether employment litigation, general civil litigation, government/regulatory law, or a combination — will be determined as candidates are reviewed. We welcome candidates with strong California litigation experience across these areas.
Priority Skills & Experience
California Litigation (Required)
- 3–6 years of litigation experience in California state and/or federal court
- Strong motion practice: drafting dispositive motions, opposing summary judgment, and independently managing discovery
- Comfortable appearing at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences; ready for court from day one
- Experience with injunctive relief, expedited proceedings, or high-stakes commercial/employment matters is a plus
Employment Litigation (Valued)
- Experience handling employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and PAGA representative actions
- Knowledge of California employment statutes (FEHA, Labor Code) and federal law (Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA) is a plus
- Experience advising employers and employees or appearing before state/federal administrative agencies is a plus

Staff Attorney (Immigration)
ABOUT THE POSITION
LSC seeks an attorney to represent children in immigration proceedings. Our immigration clients are primarily monolingual Spanish speakers and also include Central American and Mexican indigenous youth as well as youth of African descent. We welcome applicants at all levels and provide opportunities for training and leadership. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
· Conducting legal screenings, client interviews, and factual and legal investigations, counseling clients, developing case strategies and case plans, and engaging in oral and written advocacy as part of representing children in immigration matters (primarily Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Asylum, T and U visa cases)
· Representing non-detained youth in Immigration Court proceedings and related state court matters (probate guardianship and dependency as needed), as well as applications before U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and cases before Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
· Engaging in advocacy efforts on behalf of children, including conducting community presentations for children, families, schools, and community organizations
· Representing LSC in local and national coalitions and collaboratives as needed
· Occasional on-call attorney rotations with the Rapid Response Network
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 0-4 years experience as a licensed attorney. Current California Bar Membership in good standing preferred – candidates barred in good standing in other states who are eligible for provisional licensure will also be considered, but presence in the SF Bay Area is required. We will consider candidates with pending Bar Exam results.
· Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
· Prior experience in the practice of immigration law preferred
· Experience working with children who have experienced trauma preferred

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary scale is non-negotiable and is based on years of relevant full-time experience as an attorney, ranging from $78,13 years). LSC also offers a flexible spending account for qualified health expenditures.
