Program Manager - Power Distribution
Location: Raleigh, NC (Remote)

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
As the Program Manager, you will oversee program execution from start to finish, providing strategic direction, mentorship to project managers, and exceptional client relationship management. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor KPIs, optimize workflows, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
This is not an Information Technology-related position. If you do not have experience managing power distribution engineering/design projects, you will likely not be considered for the position.
Note: This position can work remotely, but new hires will be required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH, for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
· Responsible for measuring and developing the project manager's abilities and effectiveness through KPI's and setting core competencies in accordance with corporate governance.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project implementation and customer satisfaction.
· Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility.
· Serve as a mentor and coach to other project managers, offering guidance and support.
Program Planning and Strategy:
· Oversees project managers in the delivery of all program-related projects in accordance with the contractual agreement, scope, schedule, and budget of the project.
· Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all phases of projects within the designated program in accordance with project management processes, policies, guidelines, and corporate governance.
· Develop and monitor high-level project workflows, validate project scopes, and collaborate on project priorities.
· Oversees the creation of proposals, kickoff meetings, and discovery calls.
Program Monitoring and Reporting:
· Prepare, review, and approve project change orders and/or correction actions in collaboration with the client, Project Engineer(s), and Operations Manager.
· Provide program cost forecasting over the life of the project or program.
Program Closure:
· Ensure the successful closure of the program, including finalizing all program activities, obtaining acceptance from stakeholders, and conducting post-program evaluations.
· Document lessons learned and share best practices with the organization.
Communication:
· Maintain clear and consistent communication with program stakeholders, including executive leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
· Provide regular program updates to management and stakeholders.
· Resolve conflicts and facilitate effective communication within the program team.
· Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.
· Accountable for contractual correspondence and communication with all stakeholders, including identification and reporting of risks, liabilities, and opportunities.
Risk Management:
· Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project life cycle.
Budget Management:
· Manage Program level P&L reporting.
Customer/Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
· Build relationships with Sr. Leadership within the customer organization.
· Build an understanding of the customer’s organizational structure and decision-making process.
· Identify and understand client challenges, propose solutions, and tailor product/service offerings accordingly.
· Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
· Lead Program update calls and in-person meetings with external clients.
· Monitor and manage expectations of communication between staff and external clients.
· Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and target new business opportunities in the market.
· Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies, set targets, and achieve revenue goals.
· Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential customers.
· Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.

Requirements:
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Education Requirements – Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering/Engineering Technology or Bachelor's of Business Administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience Requirements - A minimum of 7 years of experience in the Power Utility Industry with engineering, operations, and /or project management, including financial oversight and personnel development. Part-Time Opportunities

Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Information Professional Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Information Professional Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Currently, The Fordy Group is seeking a Construction Professional to join our team as a Preconstruction Project Executive (Senior Level Estimator) to lead our team to excellence!
We are looking for someone that is looking to lead, grow, advance, including interest in for management and development of people in addition to managing projects.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, quantitative surveys, life cycle cost analysis studies and value engineering studies of mechanical/plumbing/electrical systems for institutional, commercial and/or industrial related facilities
- Assisting other team members with preparing civil, architectural and/or structural preconstruction related services, as required
- Assisting in developing the CPM project schedule
- Preparing written scopes of work, detailed plan and specification reviews
- Conducting field inspections and coordination of project delivery
Qualifications for this position include:
- 8-10 years in a lead estimating/preconstruction role
- A B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred; however a BS degree in a construction related field is required (civil engineering, construction management, construction technology, etc.)
- A working knowledge of Estimating Software is preferred
- Previous experience in estimating/project management is preferred
- Experience in preparing detailed energy modeling studies is preferred L
- EED Accredited Professional is preferred
- Primavera software scheduling experience is a plus

We are supporting a General Contractor who are based near Raleigh, North Carolina. This is an onsite role.
Primary Function
Prepare cost estimates for project bids to support the acquisition of new work that aligns with company objectives. Act as a productive member of the estimating team and contribute to the successful preparation and submission of competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Bid Process:
- Review and understand project bid documents including drawings, specifications, addenda, and related correspondence relevant to assigned estimate scope.
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required to gather relevant information about the project and assigned estimate division.
- Visit project sites when necessary to collect local or project-specific information required to prepare accurate bids.
- Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors and follow up to ensure timely submission.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for assigned scopes of work.
- Assemble cost estimates for assigned project divisions.
- Understand relationships between all trade divisions involved in the project.
- Estimate labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and construction equipment requirements.
- Identify questions or clarifications required and communicate them to the bid lead.
- Participate in internal plan reviews and estimate reviews as required.
- Prepare for bid submission deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Support design-build estimates where documentation may be incomplete by leveraging experience and supplier/subcontractor input.
Bid Process:
- Maintain a database of vendors and subcontractors relevant to company projects.
- Coordinate with estimating team members and bid leadership regarding issues discovered during the bidding process.
- Develop spreadsheets and cost comparison tools for evaluating subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Compare subcontractor pricing with potential self-performed work where applicable.
- Provide support during bid submission including final estimate information.
- Assist with completing bid documentation required for submission.
- Support initiatives to include diverse or disadvantaged business participation in project bids where applicable.
- Obtain and maintain subcontractor prequalification documentation.
Post-Bid Process
- Provide estimate documentation and supporting information for project handover meetings when projects are expected to be awarded.
- Attend handover meetings with project delivery teams.
- Respond to questions from project management teams as projects commence.
- Assist with value engineering exercises when required.
- Review feedback from project teams regarding estimate accuracy, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Support project teams with major change order pricing if required.
- Archive estimate data for future reference and benchmarking.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Visit active construction sites to improve estimating knowledge and future accuracy.
- Participate in regular estimating team meetings.
- Provide mentoring or training to other estimators and participate in ongoing professional development.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 or more years of experience in estimating.
- Preferable to have knowledge of sitework construction methods including earthwork, excavation support, deep foundations, and groundwater control.
- Understanding of estimating techniques, cost control principles, and construction material pricing.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to determine quantities and cost estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

Responsibilities
Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:
Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.
Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.
Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.
Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.
Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment
As a Surface Warfare Officer, you will work at sea and on shore, in a variety of environments. Sea duty could place you aboard ships within the fleet. Shore duty may involve a tour of duty at the Pentagon, a student assignment at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, or command and management positions at shore bases and stations around the world.
Training & Advancement
Those pursuing an Information Professional Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI.
Unless they have already been commissioned through the Naval Academy or ROTC, those pursuing a Surface Warfare Officer position are required to attend Officer Candidate School. Newly commissioned SWOs can expect an advanced training process that includes comprehensive training at sea and ashore.
Newly commissioned Surface Warfare Officers will be assigned to a surface ship, leading a team of Sailors responsible for a component of the ship - anything from electronics to weapons to engineering systems. In this setting, Officers are working toward full Surface Warfare qualification.
After completing these initial sea tours, Surface Warfare Officers may be selected to serve on high-level staffs, commands or strategic projects or they may be selected to work in recruitment. The ultimate goal for many: to one day command their own ship.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Qualifications & Requirements
A degree from a four-year college or university is a minimum educational requirement to become a Commissioned Officer.
There are different ways to become a SWO. If you're a high school student or an undergraduate, you can enter through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) or through the U.S. Naval Academy. Those already having a degree attend Officer Candidate School (OCS), a 12-week Navy school in Newport, RI.
All candidates must also be U.S. Citizens.
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're currently serving, whether you've served before or whether you've never served before.
Part-Time Opportunities
There are part-time opportunities available as a Surface Warfare Officer.
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Surface Warfare Officers in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Surface Warfare Officers may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Most of what you do in the Navy Reserve is considered training. The basic Navy Reserve commitment involves training a minimum of one weekend a month (referred to as drilling) and two weeks a year (referred to as Annual Training) - or the equivalent of that.

Research Scientist – Pulp & Paper Enzymes
