Position Overview:

The Databricks Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms using the Databricks Lakehouse architecture. Role Purpose

Own and professionalize AWM’s estimating and preconstruction function. This role is responsible for building and leading a scalable, best-in-class estimating department—leveraging people, process, and technology to set a new standard for the millwork industry in Florida.

Your mission:

To build and manage a scalable estimating organization that uses talent and technology to become the best preconstruction team in the millwork industry in Florida—accurate, fast, strategic, and deeply aligned with AWM growth plan.
Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership

  • Lead and structure the estimating function
  • Define standards, templates, and workflows
  • Build a scalable preconstruction system
  • Mentor and grow junior estimators

Project Estimating

  • Perform detailed takeoffs and pricing for custom millwork
  • Analyze drawings, specs, and design intent
  • Identify risks, gaps, and constructability issues early
  • Develop clear scopes, assumptions, and alternates

Strategic Preconstruction

  • Partner with Sales, PMs, Engineering, and Operations
  • Align estimates with real production and installation methods
  • Improve hit rate without eroding margin
  • Build historical cost data and feedback loops

Client & GC Interface

  • Support clarifications, value engineering, and precon conversations
  • Help position AWM as a professional, reliable partner

Ideal Candidate
  • 8–15+ years in architectural millwork estimating
  • Deep understanding of custom casework and specialty interiors
  • Strong grasp of materials, fabrication, and installation drivers
  • Strategic thinker—not just a counter of parts
  • Experience building systems and mentoring others
  • Clear communicator with leadership presence
  • Spanish a plus

Technology & Systems Proficiency (Required)

  • Extremely proficient with document-sharing and collaboration platforms
  • Fully fluent in:

  • Expert user of digital takeoff and markup tools, including:

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year

(Commensurate with experience and leadership level)

The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of complex, high-value architectural signage packages. This is not an entry-level or training position. We need a seasoned industry professional who can step in immediately to drive projects from the pre-construction handover through to final site installation. You will serve as the primary bridge between our Tier-1 commercial clients and our internal manufacturing floor.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Direct and manage the entire lifecycle of turnkey signage packages, ensuring strict adherence to aggressive commercial construction schedules and budgets.
  • Blueprint & Code Knowledge: Independently evaluate complex architectural blueprints, interior finish packages, and structural engineering plans to conduct accurate, code-compliant take-offs (ADA, life safety, and vehicular wayfinding).
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the authoritative point of contact for general contractors, architects, and developers, proactively solving structural or timeline conflicts before they impact the site.
  • Production Coordination: Work closely with the Estimating and Fabrication teams at our Jupiter plant to dictate project timelines, monitor deliverables, and sequence manufacturing workflows.


Required Qualifications:

  • Mandatory Industry Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of direct Project Management experience strictly within the custom signage manufacturing industry. (Candidates without direct signage experience will not be considered).
  • Technical Literacy: Deep understanding of custom metal fabrication, structural aluminum assemblies, and Florida Building Code requirements (including wind-load engineering and right-of-way permitting).
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel and modern project management software.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional business acumen with the verbal and written authority required to manage high-end commercial construction accounts.

Responsibilities:

General:

  • Abides by company by-laws including policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Vessels are maintained in compliance with statutory, class and charterparty requirements.
  • Provide secondary back up to the Technical Superintendents during i.e. absence and dry-docking periods.
  • Ensure, promote and champion HSEQ in line with company values in all working conditions.

Operational:

  • Manages and ensures proper working of any Planned Maintenance System on board the vessels. Monitors the technical and maintenance of vessels in accordance to utilization and lifecycles and schedules
