Position Overview As an Associate Data Center Cabling Superintendent, you will support large-scale cabling installations for major AI and hyperscale data centers across the U.S.
This hybrid role blends field leadership with hands-on work, ideal for someone who has grown beyond a Foreman role but is not yet a full Superintendent.
Youll assist the Superintendent with planning, standards enforcement, and on-site execution while working directly with technicians, contractors, and vendors.

Experience using fiber testing tools (OLTS, OTDR, VFL).
Strong Excel skills for port mapping, tracking, and documentation.
Comfortable working in live data center environments with fast-paced schedules.
Willingness to travel 50-70% and work extended hours during active builds Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting data center cabling deployments.
Understanding of racks, containment systems, and cable pathways.
Familiarity with TIA/EIA or BICSI standards.

- Analyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure.
- Responsible for tasks assigned by Coordinators in connection with service orders and repair activities related to Category 6 cabling, Voice over IP networks (VOIP), and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
- Installs, maintains and repairs voice and data communications systems.
- Interprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Tests, locates, installs, and repairs cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenance.
- Verifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
- Verifies service by testing installed cabling, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
- Well versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a cable assembler to join the MPES Services Norfolk team. The assembler will perform standardized or prescribed technical assignments, involving a sequence of related operations on submarine molded cable assemblies and components.
Essential Functions:
- Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments; technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non routine work may also be reviewed in process.
- Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
- Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
- Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
