Typical Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
A typical day as a DSP provides an opportunity to serve our supported individuals, assist your fellow staff members and might include the following:
- Supervise, assist, and instruct supported individuals in activities designed to enhance their independence to include community and social activities.
- Assist LEAP’s supported individuals to care for their homes and personal possessions. When needed/directed, perform housekeeping tasks for resident’s who fail to do so. Report any unsafe conditions.
- General housekeeping, snow removal, vehicle upkeep and meal preparation.
- Paperwork/reporting/attending meetings, participating in training and other tasks as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Someone who gets along well with others and enjoys being a positive influence on others.
- Because of regulatory requirements you are at least 18 years of age.
- You have a high school degree or GED. Very qualified applicants have previous experience as an Ed Tech, CNA, BHP or PSS.
- You have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- You can exercise good judgement and build and maintain sustainable interpersonal relationships.
- You’re an empathetic individual who is reliable and meets scheduling commitments.

The Administrative Assistant will assist with the administrative, operational, and record-keeping tasks of the Benchmark Montana Milestones Early Intervention program.

Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day tasks of the office: customer contact, phone, email, mail, filing, document preparation, and data entry.
Knowledgeable about the program processes to respond to general questions from the public in a timely manner.
Utilize the program’s web-based tools.
Accept and process program referrals and assist with assignments to the early intervention team.
Assist the early intervention team with data entry-related items and filing.
Meet timelines and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers to meet all needs.
Comply with all standards to ensure the health and safety of all our staff and clients.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft office applications.
