Responsible and accountable for delivery and implementation of the Cushman & Wakefield (CW) US Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Strategy for the Americas. Under the stewardship of the Head of EHS Americas the role will deliver measurable improvements in health, safety and environmental performance and engagement across the C&W organization, in support of business objectives. The role will specifically support Americas corporate offices, brokerage and Project & Development Service (PDS) lines across the Americas. The role will also support on Security and Quality matters in support of the wider global EHS Team. This is a senior corporate role which will directly report to the Head of EHS Americas and indirectly report to business unit heads within the relevant jurisdictions and service lines. The role will require an experienced professional who has held a similar role in a related industry and who is comfortable and confident in working and presenting at a senior level. The individual will be commercially aware and fully accountable for delivering the Americas EHS Strategy as this relates to applicable countries and service lines while reporting successes to their stakeholder groups across the region.

This senior EHS management role will be responsible for identifying areas of potential organizational risk and developing robust EHS mitigation controls, policies, procedures, and guidance in accordance with the C&W Americas EHS strategy and local legislation. The role will be responsible for coordinating both internal and external resources across the region in order to manage legal compliance and enhance organizational safety culture. EHS Manager (Rio Rancho)


The EHS Manager will lead Environmental, Health, and Safety efforts for Castelion’s Rio Rancho, New Mexico facility, supporting solid rocket motor manufacturing, integration, and test operations. This role is responsible for building and managing site EHS programs to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced, high-hazard manufacturing environment.


The EHS Manager will play a key role in facility startup, commissioning, and ramp to production, partnering closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to embed safety and environmental stewardship across development and manufacturing. The ideal candidate brings experience in process safety, hazard analysis, and regulatory compliance in aerospace, manufacturing, energetics, or other high-consequence environments, and will also provide periodic EHS support to Castelion’s Midland, Texas test facility.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the EHS leader for the Rio Rancho facility, responsible for developing and managing site EHS programs, systems, and policies to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead EHS planning and execution during facility startup, commissioning, and ramp to production, partnering with operations and engineering to integrate safety and environmental requirements into processes, equipment, and daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain process safety and risk management programs, including hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ATF, NFPA, and applicable state and local regulations, including oversight of environmental programs such as hazardous waste, air emissions, stormwater management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Implement and continuously improve safety programs through audits, inspections, training, and safety initiatives that strengthen operational discipline and safety culture.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for safety or environmental events, implementing corrective and preventive actions and maintaining site emergency response plans and preparedness.
  • Provide periodic EHS support to Castelion’s Midland, Texas facility, including audits, incident support, and program development as needed.


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting EHS and process safety programs in manufacturing, test, or other high-hazard operational environments.
  • Experience implementing process safety management and hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA).

Position Overview

GTI is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead enterprise safety, environmental compliance, and risk management across manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing EHS programs that protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence in fabrication-driven manufacturing environments. The Director of EHS partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain leadership to embed safety into daily production activities while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and ISO-aligned quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead GTI’s Environmental Health & Safety strategy across manufacturing facilities

• Establish and enforce safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and federal regulations

• Build and maintain safety management systems that support ISO 9001 operational discipline

• Lead site-level safety initiatives including hazard identification, risk mitigation, and safety audits

• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

• Develop leading and lagging safety KPIs including TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, and incident frequency rates

• Implement safety training programs covering equipment operation, lockout/tagout, confined space, welding safety, and industrial hazards

• Partner with manufacturing leadership to integrate safety into fabrication, assembly, welding, and production workflows

• Ensure environmental compliance including waste handling, hazardous material storage, emissions reporting, and regulatory documentation

• Manage site emergency response planning and incident preparedness

• Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety and environmental standards

• Develop and maintain safety documentation, policies, and regulatory reporting requirements

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and improve operational safety culture

• Collaborate with HR and Operations to support worker safety training, onboarding safety orientation, and compliance programs

• Provide executive reporting on safety performance, compliance risks, and improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field

• 10+ years of EHS experience within industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing EHS programs or safety teams

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards

• Experience implementing safety systems within ISO-aligned manufacturing environments

• Proven experience leading incident investigations and corrective action programs

• Strong knowledge of industrial hazards including welding, fabrication, heavy equipment, and manufacturing processes

The Senior EHS Specialist is a key technical expert responsible for driving environmental, health, and safety excellence across a non-union, Class I Division 2 manufacturing environment. This senior individual contributor will lead critical compliance programs, oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, and influence leadership and employees to strengthen the site’s safety culture. Success in this role requires deep knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, strong technical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee compliance for manufacturing and lab operations, including RCRA hazardous waste, air emissions, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and EPA-mandated plans.
  • Serve as the technical lead for maintaining and improving all 14 PSM elements in partnership with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA PSM regulations in a covered facility.
  • Lead the site’s incident investigation process to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Promote continuous improvement through trend analysis and proactive safety engagement.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by leading the Plant Safety Team and serving as program lead for SafeStart (or similar behavioral-based safety programs).
  • Conduct hazard assessments, determine and manage PPE requirements, and monitor compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Partner with leadership and employees to strengthen safe behaviors through training, coaching, and audits.
  • Oversee completion and tracking of required EHS training for employees and contractors.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify needs, approve qualified resources, and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely regulatory filings, including OSHA incident logs, Tier II, SARA 313, RCRA, wastewater testing, and air emissions reports.
  • Represent the facility during regulatory inspections, audits, and agency communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS experience in chemical manufacturing or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience working in a PSM-covered facility is required.
  • CSP and/or CIH certification preferred.
  • Expert understanding and application of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations in manufacturing environments.
