JOB DESCRIPTION
BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Designer 1, Designer 2, or Senior Designer at our Greystone location in Columbia, SC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs and produces engineering drawings for natural gas and auxiliary facilities.
- Provides technical guidance to engineers and designers, ensuring drawing accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company drafting standards.
- Maintains design consistency across the engineering team by applying established standards, best practices, and quality controls.
- Collaborates with engineering and operations to optimize facility designs and ensure compliance with company specifications, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintains and updates standard drawings, facility drawings, and company drafting libraries to support ongoing operations and project needs.
- Operates independently as a selfstarter, completing assignments with minimal supervision while managing priorities effectively.
- Develops complete, timely, and accurate drawing packages for new, expanded, or modified facilities, supporting project objectives and construction schedules.
- Reviews drawings to verify compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Evaluates design concepts and performs required engineeringrelated calculations to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Manages drawing documentation by organizing and maintaining drawing files, indexes, revision histories, and digital records in accordance with company documentcontrol procedures.
- Completes site visits with engineering and operations teams to ensure drawing accuracy as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Designer 1:
0-2 years of AutoCAD experience is required.
Designer 2:
At least 3 years of AutoCAD experience is required.
Sr. Designer:
At least 5 years of AutoCAD experience is required.
All Levels:
- Microstation experience preferred.
- Experience with 3D drawings or modeling.
- Experience with natural gas pipeline and compressor station design.
- Strong math skills, including geometry, trigonometry, and higher mathematics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering design drafting principles.
- Knowledge of national gas codes, Pipeline Safety Regulations, and related codes and standards.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to size and design structural steel and reinforced concrete components.
- Ability to develop applications for the CADD system.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to develop rapport with internal and external customers.
- Strong computer skills, including the CADD system.
Education
Associate (Typically two years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate's degree.)
Preferred Degree
Drafting Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Design Engineering

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or healthcare construction (majority of the time as an assistant superintendent or superintendent)
- Experience in establishing building layout and control
- Proficient in document change and RFI management
- Ability to maintain a high level of quality throughout
- Experience working in occupied buildings

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Ensure safe practices are used in the execution of project work
- Help train, mentor, and develop the skills of team members
- Assist with the development and communication of the project plan to include the project schedule, site logistics, safety, and quality programs
- Schedule and conduct inspections with local authorities
- Supervise installations in conjunction with construction documents, including but not limited to coordination drawings, shop drawings, specifications, submittals, RFI’s, etc.
- Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized job site
- Ensure and review quality of weekly project safety checklist
- Ensure all team members are participating and running daily safety huddles
- Conduct and supervise project meetings
- Ensure completion of Standards of Excellence quality checklists at appropriate times
- Supervise the completion of quality control/punch list issues throughout the project
- Provides schedule updates and/or comments to owner/design team
- Coordinate the work of multiple subcontractors and lead subcontractor coordination meetings regularly
- Create and review completion and accuracy of construction daily reports
- Conduct planning and maintenance of shutdowns and tie-ins
- Maintain daily reports using 360 Field
- Assist in resolving construction issues to maintain the productivity of subcontractors

Position Title Board Certified Radiologists
Location: Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center 6439 Garners Ferry Road, , Columbia SC 29209-1638.
Board Certified Radiologists - Abdominal/GU, Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular, General, Interventional, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, and Authorized User (AU) Radiology Physician Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
QUALIFICATIONS: Staff/Facility
Board Certification: All contractor's physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology ( ). All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times. Documentation verifying current certification shall be provided by the Contractor to the VA COR on an annual basis for each year of contract performance.
Technical Proficiency:
- Contractor's physician(s) shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
- Contractor shall provide documents upon request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed.
- Contractor shall provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences including any gaps in educational history for all contractor's physician(s) and contractor's physician(s) shall be responsible for abiding by the Facility's Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations (referenced herein) that govern medical staff behavior.
Standards of Care : The contract physician(s)' care shall cover the range of Interventional Radiology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by:
Direct Patient Care: estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care. Contractor shall be responsible for:
Scope of Care: Contractor's physician(s) shall be responsible for providing general and interventional Radiology procedures, including, but not limited:
- Diagnostic Radiology
- Ultrasound
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Nuclear Medicine (Nuc Med)
- Interventional Radiography (IR)
Clinic: Contractor's physician(s) shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
Communication of Test Results: Mechanisms must be in-place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance, Communicating Test Results to Providers and Patients.
Consultation Responsibilities: Contractor physician(s) shall provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for general, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuc med, and IR radiologic procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.
Contractor physician(s) shall determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.
- Contractor physician(s) shall provide review of consults/orders and next- day patient cases for minimum of two hours daily.
- Contractor physician(s) shall provide post-procedure evaluation and follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures.
Medications: Contractor physician(s) shall follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
Discharge education: Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.
