The Logistics Manager at the customer center is responsible for coordinating supply chain activities to drive customer satisfaction and contribute to sustainable profitable growth within the organization. The mission is to design, implement, and optimize logistics processes, with a focus on improving delivery date transparency, managing inventory and returns, mitigating risks, and supporting order entry teams to achieve world-class logistics operations for Atlas Copco Compressors LLC.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager coordinates supply chain activities to enhance customer satisfaction and support sustainable profitable growth. This position collaborates with customers, other customer center functions, Regional Operations Managers, the Atlas Copco North American Service Center (NASC), the ACT! team (managing the SAP template), Distribution Centers, Production Companies, and Divisional HQ to achieve common local and global objectives, ensuring efficient, transparent, and resilient logistics processes.
Logistics
- Collaborate with Regional Operations Managers to oversee warehouse processes across four regional warehouses, including designing processes for expediting unused parts returns, conducting data analysis for optimal inventory levels, and inventory reduction initiatives.
- Oversee the process of updating the ERP system with accurate data to improve delivery date forecasts for customers and the sales team, accounting for variables such as transport times, shipping lanes, and port issues, in collaboration with the ACT! team.
- Coordinate with the NASC for transportation operations (managing 90% of inbound and outbound shipments) and liaise with their trade compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage order management functions, including supporting all order entry teams (those reporting to business line managers and the order desk reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, which handles the majority of orders), to ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries.
- Oversee logistics operations for regional branches and service contracts, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery, return processing efficiency, and forecast accuracy; mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., port disruptions or supplier delays) through contingency planning and stakeholder collaboration.

Position description
The mission of the Center for Global Public Health (CGPH) is to advance health equity through interdisciplinary research, education, and strategic partnerships. CGPH works to support and administer academic programs that contribute to this mission, addressing pressing global health challenges and, with faculty across campus and at the School of Public Health (SPH), particularly advancing the global public health research agenda.
The CGPH fosters collaboration across sectors and borders, supporting numerous education-focused programs for UCB students that enhance faculty research and other initiatives aimed at translating evidence into action, particularly for under-resourced and historically marginalized populations.
The Academic Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the administration and coordination of CGPH initiatives, working closely with the faculty directors and executive director to manage, plan, and advance global health training efforts, research grant writing, event planning, and communication initiatives. This position is for an individual interested in the intersection of global public health research and education, academic administration, and grants management.
Reporting to the CGPH Faculty Director and Executive Director, the Academic Coordinator's responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the growth and implementation of global health education/training programs -in particular, the CGPH summer research fellowship program, the UCB Global Public Health and Equity Certificate program, and Program Events/Activities supporting the curriculum/training development of students in these two programs.
- Grant writing and proposal development: Monitor both solicited and unsolicited calls for research proposals and grant applications from a variety of funding sources (e.g., federal, state, foundations, corporate, HNWI). Coordinate with SPH, CGPH faculty/affiliates, and other UC networks to circulate and respond toopportunities. Support fundraising strategies and activities to cultivate relationships with potential donors and philanthropic initiatives.
- Collaborating with CGPH faculty to synthesize global public health research through the CGPH website and newsletter. Maintain the CGPH website with current and relevant content, including faculty profiles, event information, research highlights, and program details. Provide logistical and planning support for events (e.g., seminars, meetings, workshops, dinners) that align with CGPH's strategic areas.
- Duties will include involvement in a range of complex, multifaceted problems that require both administrative acumen and subject matter expertise, with key collaborators on logistical and operational program issues.
- Synthesize complex, evolving global health data and pedagogical frameworks to design responsive academic programming and student engagement opportunities.

The Logistics Planner Specialist II is responsible for driving tasks to completion and mentoring junior staff. This role requires a heightened level of autonomy and strong business acumen. Performs technical procedures using ultrasound waves that require independent judgement based on knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and the normal and abnormal variation.
*Essential Job Duties:*
1. Verifies patients identification and physicians orders; prepares patients for exams and explains procedures while performing studies.
2. Obtains and documents patients medical history.
3. Obtains pertinent diagnostic examinations for physicians in relation to the ultrasound.
4. Correlates the clinical history with the test to be performed.
5. Consults with referring physicians regarding patients previous history and decision of appropriate ultrasonic procedures required.
6. Transmits the permanent recordings of the scans for protection and filing.
7. Maintains a daily log and procedural manual.
8. Performs a high-quality study in accordance with ICAUL and ICAEL guidelines.
9. Maintain accreditation for department.
10. All other duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
*Education* Graduate from an approved school for Diagnostic Ultrasound for Echo/Vascular studies.
*Experience* Registered Cardiac Technologist for Echo/Vascular required.
*Licensure/Certification: *CCI or ARDMSCertifications and CPR Certifications required.
*Skills *Above average communication skills and ability to relate effectively to
the public and health care professionals.
