The Dental Hygienist will deliver a wide variety of dental services by performing preventive and therapeutic treatment procedures and by instructing individuals in oral self-care techniques.  Works under the supervision of a licensed dentist in accordance with Article 133 of the Education Law. 

Position Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision of a licensed dentist, performs services which may include: 
    • removing calcareous deposits, accretions and stains, including scaling and planing of exposed root surfaces indicated for a complete prophylaxis; 
    • applying topical agents indicated for a complete dental prophylaxis; 
    • removing excess cement from surfaces of the teeth; 
    • providing patient education; 
    • placing and exposing X-ray films; 
    • performing topical anticariogenic agent applications, including but not limited to topical fluoride applications, and performing topical anesthetic applications; 
    • polishing teeth, including existing restorations; 
    • taking medical history including the measuring and recording of vital signs; 
    • charting caries and periodontal conditions as an aid to diagnosis by the dentist; 
    • applying pit and fissure sealants; and 
    • applying desensitizing agents to the teeth. 
    • Complies with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
    • May perform other duties under the personal supervision of a licensed dentist. 
    • Perform other duties as required.

How You’ll Make a Difference:


As a Dental Office Manager, you will lead the office in all office operations in support of the doctors to help create lasting impressions and build trust and loyalty with patients. When you join an Aspen Dental practice, you’ll participate in an extensive, ten-week training program to gain business and leadership knowledge designed to help you succeed and grow within our organization.

  • Provide superior patient service with compassion and care in accordance with patient needs, company policies and procedures, government regulations, and dental board standards
  • Consult with patients on treatment options provided by the clinical team, verify insurance payment and collection ensure high-quality of care
  • Hire, develop, manage, and retain the office staff
  • Review monthly business results, manage profit and loss, align sales plan to support business goals, and create strategies to increase profitability
  • Prepare and lead daily huddles with the team to level set expectations to optimize patient experience and business performance
  • Additional tasks as required

  • Minimum of one year of managing a team of direct reports
  • Experience in sales or sales management

Your role:

Strategic leadership:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the practice and the support center, ensuring clear, timely communication across all stakeholder groups to align priorities, resolve issues, and drive practice success.
  • Collaborate with the owner doctor and regional support to develop and implement growth strategies for the practice.
