Comfy Cubs is seeking an experienced and highly organized E-commerce Manager to oversee and manage our global marketplace operations. This is a full-time, in-house role based in our Miami office. The E-commerce Manager will take ownership of day-to-day marketplace execution while leading an overseas team and ensuring all strategies and SOPs are implemented effectively from start to finish.


This role reports directly to the Managing Partner and plays a key role in maintaining account health, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence across all marketplaces.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of approximately 15 overseas employees across customer service, marketplace operations, and data analytics.


  • Take SOPs and strategic direction from the Managing Partner and implement them end-to-end with full ownership and accountability.

Job Summary:

As Head of Retention at Nominal, you'll own everything that keeps customers coming back: email/SMS strategy, loyalty programs, post-purchase journeys, conversion optimization, and creative promotions. You'll manage our email/SMS agency, work with our CRO agency, and use data to turn one-time buyers into repeat customers. This role is for someone who's driven repeat purchase rate and LTV improvements at a $10Mโ€“$50M DTC brand and knows the playbook like they made it.


Key Responsibilities:


Retention & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Drive 15%+ improvement in repeat purchase rate through loyalty optimization, segmentation, and targeted campaigns
  • Revitalize our loyalty program and turn it into a measurable revenue driver
  • Build post-purchase flows, VIP nurture campaigns, and win-back sequences that increase LTV

Email/SMS Strategy

  • Own strategic direction of our email/SMS program (managed by agency); grow revenue and drive intentional promotions into those channels
  • Grow email list through lead capture optimization and creative list-building tactics
  • Optimize flows (welcome, cart abandon, post-purchase, win-back) and create exclusive promotions for subscribers

Creative Promotions & Offers

  • Design flash sales and exclusive offers: SMS-only deals, app-early access, discount tiers, VIP perks
  • Build promotional calendar with CMO for product launches and cultural campaigns
  • Test gamification, spend thresholds, and urgency tactics that drive conversions without cheapening the brand

Conversion & AOV Optimization

  • Partner with CRO agency to improve site conversion (currently ~2%) through testing and optimization
  • Increase AOV by 10โ€“15% via bundling, upsells, cross-sells, and checkout flow improvements
  • Optimize merchandising: move slow sellers to clearance, improve product presentation, reduce friction

Customer Insights & Analytics

  • Use data to understand what drives repeat purchases and what causes churn
  • Build dashboards tracking CAC, LTV, repeat rate, cohort performance, email/SMS revenue
  • Conduct customer research (surveys, reviews, interviews) to inform retention strategy

Agency Management

  • Manage email/SMS agency (BAD Marketing), CRO agency (WeConvert), and upsell platform (OneclickUpsell)

Key Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5โ€“7+ years in DTC e-commerce, focused on retention, email/SMS, and lifecycle marketing at Shopify brands doing $10Mโ€“$50M+ revenue

  • Expert with Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, or similar email/SMS platforms

Core Accountabilities

  • Support FP&A head of eComm and ReWair in creation of annual eComm budgets, working with business partners to develop key assumptions, OPEX needs, etc.
  • Drive the monthly eComm forecast process, partnering with eComm team to update key assumptions and outline potential risks and opportunities, proactively making recommendations
  • Model performance scenarios, outlining / quantifying key risks and opportunities, to assist leadership team in decision-making
  • Support the monthly Sales & Operating Plan process, providing insight on prior monthโ€™s performance relative to forecast that delivers impactful insights and helps tell the business and financial story
  • Partner with global counterparts to drive best in class reporting/forecasting/modelling across the global eComm organization
  • Support eComm investment appraisals, including performance marketing, EBITDA profitability, payback period, and KPI sensitivities
  • Partner with the eComm admin team, produce and review the daily, weekly, and periodic trading performance of eComm KPIs, providing commentary and insights.


Monthly Responsibilities

  • Own monthly reviews of eComm OPEX, ensuring correct accruals are being made and building spend forecasts that are in line with these findings
  • Produce monthly eComm P&Ls and review with eComm leadership team


PowerBI Development & Enhancement

  • Work with BI team to build and develop the reporting capabilities of Power BI, including KPI dashboard reporting required to support the eComm team in trade decision making

About the Job:

The Director, Digital Growth Marketing is responsible for the development and management of the companyโ€™s digital growth marketing strategy. This role is responsible for managing the in-house paid media team and leading key activities, including but not limited to paid search, paid social, affiliate, display, marketplace advertising, SEO, and custom activations. A day in the life, what youโ€™ll be doing:

  • Develops and executes paid marketing strategy across all digital media channels from concept to launch. Leads internal paid media team, handling tactical execution of media allocation and optimization.
  • Leads and manages all aspects of digital media, including SEO/SEM, affiliate, display re-targeting and acquisition, paid social and custom activations with media partners and platforms.
  • Manages and develops digital media team; sets and maintains clear, specific, measurable, actionable, reasonable and time-related goals for functional group and individual team members.
