Position Description The IT Cybersecurity Analyst is a key player in building and maturing a comprehensive, enterprise-wide cybersecurity program that protects VT’s operations, intellectual property, customer data, and digital assets in an increasingly complex threat landscape.

Own and continuously evolve the incident response and business continuity plans; conduct regular tabletop exercises, red-team simulations, and ransomware-specific drills.

Define, track, and present meaningful cybersecurity metrics and risk dashboards to leadership, highlighting program maturity, threat landscape changes, and business impact.

Research and evaluate up-and-coming security challenges, including: Agentic AI risks (prompt injection, memory poisoning, tool misuse, privilege escalation, and autonomous agent hijacking).

AI-orchestrated cyberattacks and adversarial ML techniques.

Supply-chain and third-party risk amplification.

Quantum computing threats and post-quantum cryptography readiness.

These professionals will work in an agile environment to ensure the integrity, functionality, and quality of complex data transformations and integrations.

Key responsibilities include: • Designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios from scratch.

• Creating and utilizing complex SQL queries to validate and verify backend processes.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to review requirements, write defects, and contribute to agile ceremonies.

• Conducting ETL testing, including processing and transforming large datasets for migration and organization.

• Developing and automating test cases using Java and Jenkins.

• Performing API testing and contributing to integration test strategies.

• Mapping requirements to test cases and ensuring comprehensive coverage of test scenarios.

• Actively participating in fast-paced team collaborations and effectively communicating technical details to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience • At least 5 years of testing experience, with a focus on backend and ETL testing.

• Proficiency in creating and using complex SQL queries.

• Proficiency writing code for automation using Java, Python, or similar.

• Experience with automation testing, including proficiency in Selenium, Java, and Jenkins.

• Hands-on experience with relational database management systems, such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira for test case repository and defect tracking.

• Proven ability to develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases independently.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration in large teams.

• Healthcare or health insurance industry experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience • Experience with MongoDB.

• API testing knowledge and experience.

• Healthcare claims, enrollments, and/or contracts data expertise.
