Department of Energy industrial complex.

They are repurposing the former Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility into the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) .

There is currently no radioactive material onsite.

Responsibilities: Serve as the technical lead for evaluating existing concrete conditions, planning repairs, and supporting acceptance of cast-in-place and repaired concrete surfaces under project specifications C-SPP-F-00067 and C-SPP-F-00123.

Support classification of concrete defects, validation of Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) compliance, and integration with the project’s engineering, QA, and field execution teams.

Perform inspections with the quality group prior to any work proceeding on all concrete surfaces.

Work with the Quality Management Team to write and build working procedures in coordination with existing Quality Inspection documents.

All documents will be built from the site specifications and will be required to align with client’s NQA1 Quality Program.

Work in conjunction with the primary site engineering group.

Coordinate any necessary repairs that may be required to concrete surfaces (cosmetic repairs are the primary expectation).

Education / Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

8+ years of experience in structural concrete construction, repair, or inspection within industrial, nuclear, or DOE/NQA-1 regulated environments.

ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector or ACI Concrete Repair Inspector certification required.

Familiarity with ACI standards including ACI 301, ACI 318, ACI 562, and relevant repair specifications.

Demonstrated ability to assess concrete condition, identify defects (e.g., spalls, honeycombing, cracking), and recommend repair approaches based on applicable standards.

Familiarity with CSP evaluation methods, including the use of ICRI 310.2R visual comparators.

Experience supporting or overseeing concrete repairs under a formal quality program, including documentation of hold points and nonconformance resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OR Associated Safety Professional is highly desired.

  • Certified in any of the following areas is a plus:  Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Asbestos Contractor/ Supervisor; AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector; Certified Lead Professional; Lead Inspector/ Risk Assessor; and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).

  • Able to be fit-tested and wear respirator, and be enrolled in Respiratory Protection Program (if hired).

  • Able to meet all requirements necessary to climb structures and oversee Fall Protection Program.

  • Confined Space assessment experience, program administration experience; Forklift Operator, Forklift Instructor; Aerial Lift Operator, and Aerial Lift Instructor Experience, are desired.

  • Highly developed presentation skills, comfortable conducting training classes, self-motivated and proactive team player, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Please Note:  The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $85,000 to $95,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.  Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

A Midwest Senior or Executive Risk Engineering Property/Casualty Consultant with solid property and casualty skills are being sought to provide Middle Market/Risk Management on site prospective and renewal surveys, as well as service to existing clients. Work is expected to be spread throughout each region so some travel is required. This unique opportunity emphasizes solid Property expertise, diplomatic communication, and excellent collaboration with the internal underwriting and claims teams for the achievement of C & F profitability and loss containment goals. C & F Risk Engineering develops and implements client service plans and supports client NFPA and OSHA compliance with focused risk improvement recommendations so consultative skills are critically important. Minimum requirements include:



  • 8+ years of experience required, 10+ years preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • CSP/CFPS Certification preferred
  • Familiarity with usage and applications of NFPA codes and standards

  • Liability, auto liability, and workers’ compensation experience as this is a casualty-driven supporting position
