Analyst, People Analytics
✦ New
Salary not disclosed
Chicago, IL 1 day ago

The Aspen Group (TAG) is one of the largest and most trusted retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S., supporting over 23,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,150 locations across 48 states. Our five supported healthcare practices operate under the brands Aspen Dental, ClearChoice, WellNow, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet. We’re committed to enabling healthcare professionals to focus on patient care while we handle the business operations that support them.

The People Analytics team delivers data-driven insights that shape workforce strategy across TAG’s five brands. We build the data pipelines, dashboards, and automated reports that help leaders make better decisions about our 23,000+ employees.

As an Analyst, People Analytics, you will build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our analytics work, and use AI-assisted development tools to do it faster than a team this size normally could. You’ll extract data from source systems like Workday and CultureAmp, transform and load it into BigQuery, and ensure the datasets behind our dashboards and reports are accurate, fresh, and well-documented. You’ll also support analysis and reporting across the team.

This is a technical, hands-on role. On a typical day, you might use an AI coding assistant to build a new data pipeline in the morning, debug a data quality issue after lunch, and write a SQL query to answer an executive’s question before end of day. We work in an AI-assisted development workflow where agentic tools are part of the everyday toolkit - not an experiment, but how we ship.

This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely curious, likes building things that others depend on, and is excited to work at the intersection of data engineering and AI-augmented development.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance

  • Build and maintain Python-based ETL processes that extract data from Workday APIs and other source systems
  • Load and transform data into BigQuery with appropriate schemas and structure
  • Monitor pipeline runs and resolve failures or data quality issues
  • Handle edge cases like API changes, schema drift, and missing data gracefully

Data Quality & Validation

  • Implement validation checks to ensure accuracy between source systems and warehouse
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies surfaced by reports or dashboard users
  • Document data lineage, transformations, and known quality issues
  • Build monitoring to track data freshness and pipeline health

Analysis & Reporting

  • Write SQL queries and build datasets that power dashboards and executive reporting
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from HR and business leaders
  • Automate recurring reports and manual data processes
  • Validate and QA analytical outputs before delivery

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Write clear documentation for data sources, schemas, and transformation logic
  • Partner with team members to understand data requirements for new projects
  • Contribute to team coding standards and code reviews
  • Support compliance and audit requests with accurate data documentation

How We Work

Our team uses AI-assisted development tools as a core part of how we build. That means:

  • Writing code with AI assistants. We use AI to draft pipelines, debug issues, and iterate on solutions. You’ll spend more time directing and reviewing code than typing every line from scratch.
  • Automating the repetitive. If something can be automated - a report, a data check, a deployment step - we automate it. We look for people who instinctively think β€œhow do I make this run itself?”
  • Shipping over perfecting. We prefer working solutions delivered quickly over polished solutions delivered slowly. We iterate in the open and improve as we go.

You don’t need to already be an expert in these tools. You need to be the kind of person who picks them up quickly, experiments on your own, and is excited by the idea that a small team can punch well above its weight with the right approach.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or a related technical role
  • Strong SQL skills (complex queries, CTEs, window functions, optimization)
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing (pandas, API integrations, scripting)
  • Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or automated data processes
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical work to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • Experience with BigQuery specifically
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS data (employee records, job history, compensation)
  • Experience with GCP services (Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run)
  • Background in HR, People Analytics, or workforce data
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build the data foundation for a 23,000+ employee organization
  • A growing team investing in modern analytics practices and AI-assisted workflows
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional development opportunities

About the Team

You’ll join a growing People Analytics team that values curiosity, reliability, and simplicity. We believe good data infrastructure should be predictable, well-documented, and easy to maintain. We use AI-assisted tools daily to move faster and take on more than our headcount would suggest β€” and we’re looking for someone who’s excited by that way of working. If you like building things that people depend on and you’re always looking for a better way to do it, you’ll fit right in.

*This role is onsite 4 days/week in our Chicago office (Fulton Market District)

  • A generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match

AI Solutions Engineer
🏒 CapCenter
Salary not disclosed
Richmond, VA 5 days ago

About This Role

This isn't a traditional engineering role where you'll receive detailed specifications and build to order. We're looking for someone who digs into problems firsthandβ€”someone who asks "why" until they truly understand what's broken, then builds the solution themselves.

If you've ever been frustrated by the gap between people who understand the customer and people who can build technology, this role exists because we share that frustration. We want someone who can do both.

What You'll Do

You'll use AI toolsβ€”particularly Claude Code and the Claude platformβ€”to build solutions that solve real problems in mortgage lending. Not proofs of concept. Real tools that people use every day.

Examples of problems you might tackle:

  • Loan conditions arrive from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and FHA in different formats. Loan officers spend hours reconciling them. Build something that consolidates and deduplicates them automatically.
  • Underwriters spend significant time on tasks that could be automated, but "that's how it's always been done." Identify which tasks, understand why, and build the automation.
  • Compliance requirements evolve constantly. Build systems that can adapt without requiring lengthy development cycles.

You won't always be handed a clear spec. You'll often be handed a problemβ€”sometimes a vague oneβ€”and expected to dig in until you understand it well enough to solve it.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • You can build working software. You don't need a team of engineers to ship something useful. Claude Code, Python, JavaScript, APIsβ€”you're comfortable getting hands-on.
  • You go deep on problems. When someone says "we need a dashboard," you ask what decision they're trying to make. When they say "it takes too long," you ask how long, why, and what happens as a result.
  • You're persistent. You don't hear "that's not possible" and stop there. You get curious and look for another way.
  • You communicate well across audiences. Executives, loan officers, underwriters, compliance teamsβ€”you can work with all of them effectively.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in mortgage lending, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
  • Background that spans both business and technical workβ€”perhaps you started in analysis and taught yourself to code, or you're an engineer who consistently finds yourself thinking about the customer problem

What matters most:

We care less about your pedigree and more about your ability to solve problems and work well with others while doing it.

Why This Role Exists

We're a 200-person mortgage lending organization, and we believe AI is going to fundamentally change how our industry operatesβ€”not by replacing people, but by making our people dramatically more effective.

We're moving away from the traditional model where business teams write requirements, hand them to engineers, and hope the result matches the intent. We want to build a team of people who can understand the problem deeply and build the solution directly. Fewer handoffs. Faster iteration. Better outcomes.

If that resonates with you, we'd like to talk.

How To Apply

Please send:

  1. Your resume
  2. Something you've built β€” a link, screenshot, GitHub repo, or brief walkthrough. It doesn't need to be polished. We want to see how you approach problems.
  3. A short note (a few sentences) about a problem you investigated deeply and what you learned from it

Information Technology Project Manager

Phoenix, AZ 1 week ago

Position: IT Project Manager (Mid-Level)

Role Type: Contract | Work Arrangement: Hybrid β€” minimum 2 days per week on-site in Phoenix, AZ

Overview

We are seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager to coordinate and drive delivery across a portfolio of 6-8 concurrent technology initiatives spanning AI adoption, intelligent automations, data analytics, application modernization, and cloud infrastructure. This is not a single-project PM role β€” it requires someone who can manage a portfolio view, hold multiple teams accountable, identify risks and communication gaps early, and keep leadership well-informed.

The right candidate is organized, direct, and delivery-oriented. They don't just track tasks β€” they track outcomes, verify quality, and escalate before problems become crises. We expect this individual to quickly establish a consolidated view of all active initiatives, stand up a regular reporting cadence with both delivery teams and executive stakeholders, and demonstrate tangible impact within the first few months by improving visibility, unblocking stalled work, and bringing structure to a fast-moving portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Coordination & Delivery Management

  • Maintain a consolidated view of all active initiatives β€” status, milestones, owners, dependencies, and risks
  • Hold internal teams and vendor partners accountable for committed deliverables and timelines
  • Identify and manage cross-initiative dependencies and resource conflicts
  • Verify that deliverables meet acceptance criteria β€” not just "done" but "done right"
  • Communication & Stakeholder ManagementEstablish and maintain a regular reporting cadence (weekly team updates, biweekly executive summaries)
  • Prepare clear, concise portfolio status updates for the Director of Architecture and CIO
  • Proactively identify communication gaps between teams, between business and IT, and between onshore and offshore contributors
  • Tailor communications to the audience β€” technical detail for delivery teams, outcome-focused summaries for executives

Risk, Issue & Vendor Management

  • Proactively identify delivery risks and escalate early with recommended mitigations
  • Track and manage issue resolution across initiatives
  • Coordinate with vendor partners on delivery expectations, SOW commitments, and quality standards. A small portion of the automation initiatives involve an offshore vendor team
  • Ensure vendor deliveries are aligned with timelines and integrated with internal workstreams

Active Initiative Portfolio

The PM will coordinate across the following initiative areas:

  • AI Enablement: Enterprise Microsoft Copilot adoption (M365 Copilot, PowerBI Copilot, Copilot Studio), AI for SDLC (developer tooling and GenAI frameworks)
  • Intelligent Automations: Agentic automations with Copilot Studio, Power Platform migration from legacy RPA
  • Data & Analytics: Data analytics platform build-out (pipeline modernization, semantic models, self-service reporting)
  • Application Modernization: Containerization (ECS migration from EC2-hosted workloads)
  • Infrastructure: Cloud infrastructure optimization initiatives
  • Management Reporting: Executive dashboards, initiative scorecards, and periodic leadership updates

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent IT initiatives simultaneously β€” portfolio-level coordination, not just single-project delivery
  • Strong accountability and escalation discipline β€” comfortable holding people to commitments and raising flags early, even when it's uncomfortable
  • Excellent communication skills β€” can synthesize technical initiative status into clear, actionable executive updates
  • Delivery-oriented mindset β€” tracks outcomes and quality, not just task completion
  • Enough IT/software delivery literacy to have credible conversations with technical teams and spot when things don't add up

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Agile delivery (sprint planning, retrospectives) and hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
  • Familiarity with Jira for project tracking
  • Experience coordinating vendor-delivered work (SOW tracking, delivery validation)
  • Exposure to any of the initiative domains listed above (AI/ML, data platforms, containerization, cloud infrastructure)
  • PowerBI or similar tool experience for building initiative health dashboards

Delivery Model & Tools

  • Hybrid Agile/Waterfall β€” software initiatives run in Agile sprints while infrastructure and platform work follows milestone-based delivery. Primary tools: Jira, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint). The PM should be comfortable creating dashboards and status reports using available tools.
