The MinKwon Center for Community Action was established in 1984 as the Young Korean American Service & Education Center (YKASEC) to meet the needs and concerns of the Korean American community. Since our founding, MinKwon has played a vital role through grassroots organizing, education, and advocacy initiatives addressing immigration policies, voting rights, and cultural awareness.
MinKwon places a special emphasis on serving marginalized community members, including youth, seniors, recent immigrants, low-income residents, and limited-English-proficient residents.
Our mission is to empower the Korean American community and work alongside Asian American and immigrant communities to achieve economic and social justice for all. Job Description
The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to execute the vision and mission of the organization; strengthen, implement, and expand core program work and operations; serve as a key representative to coalition allies, community groups, elected officials, and media; and provide senior leadership for internal oversight, administration, fundraising, and organizational development.
Leadership and Management
- Provide vision and collaborate with the Board of Directors and staff to set the organization’s strategic direction rooted in mission and values.
- Ensure programmatic excellence, rigorous evaluation, and consistent quality across finance, administration, fundraising, communications, and systems.
- Recommend timelines and resources necessary to achieve strategic goals.
Fundraising and Communications
- Oversee all fundraising initiatives, including donor and funder relationship management, grant proposals and reports, and execution of fundraising events such as the annual gala.
- Track grant activity and ensure timely quarterly and annual reports for all grants.
- Ensure a consistent organizational presence and leadership in social media, the website, and other supporter communications.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with both traditional and non-traditional media outlets representing the organization’s voice.
- Interface directly with media, public and private groups, boards, commissions, and professional associations to advance MinKwon’s visibility.
- Deliver presentations to groups and individuals to promote the organization’s services and objectives.
- Oversee or directly develop brochures, reports, news releases, and other informational or marketing materials.
- Use external presence and relationships to identify and secure new opportunities and partnerships.
External Leadership & Representation
- Represent MinKwon publicly, including public speaking, media engagement, and relationship-building with community leaders, advocacy groups, and elected officials.
- Expand and manage external relationships and serve as the primary staff liaison with key stakeholders.
- Work closely with NAKASEC (National Korean American Service & Education Consortium) and its affiliates (c3, c4, PAC):
- Serve as MinKwon’s primary contact with NAKASEC, maintaining regular and transparent communication.
- Actively participate in NAKASEC ED convenings and strategic discussions.
- Help strengthen the NAKASEC network by being a thought partner and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
- Proactively share relevant information, raise issues, and immediately inform NAKASEC of any legal or organizational actions impacting shared goals.
- Collaborate with NAKASEC to develop, implement, and maintain joint policies and procedures.
Program and Organizational Development
- Lead strategic, operating, and capital planning in alignment with Board policies and organizational mission.
- Monitor MinKwon’s progress against programmatic, financial, and operational goals.
- Work with staff, Board members, volunteers, and community leaders to strengthen existing programs, integrate activities, and develop new initiatives.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and retain a talented team capable of leading programs and managing strategic functions.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, ensuring accountability.
- Create and maintain a positive organizational culture that motivates and supports staff performance and equity.
- Represent staff concerns and issues to the Board on relevant matters.
Board Relations
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization’s goals.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new Board members.
- Prepare and propose Board agendas, including recommendations on vision, programs, policies, contracts, and budgets.
- Provide the Board with timely and comprehensive progress and activity reports.
- Ensure quarterly reports are delivered in advance of scheduled Board meetings.
- Implement Board directives, policies, and approved strategic plans.
- Evaluate organizational structure, job classifications, salary comparability, and performance evaluation systems; recommend improvements to the Board while maintaining positive staff and stakeholder relations.
Finance & Administration
- Monitor financial performance and ensure effective financial systems are maintained.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Grow and diversify revenue streams while stewarding resources responsibly.
- Represent the organization to potential funders to secure new opportunities.

Role Summary
The Rhythm Safety Advisor (RSA) serves as a safety and compliance partner to commercial transportation fleets utilizing the Rhythm platform. This role helps organizations strengthen their safety programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve operational risk performance.
As part of the SaferFleet program, an RSA works directly with customers to interpret safety data, identify risk indicators, and guide practical improvements across driver safety, fleet operations, and regulatory compliance. The position combines safety expertise, regulatory knowledge, and operational problem-solving to help organizations translate safety insights into actionable improvements.
Detailed Responsibilities
CUSTOMER SAFETY ADVISORY
- Serve as the primary safety advisor for assigned customers
- Interpret safety data and risk indicators from the Rhythm platform
- Provide practical guidance to improve driver safety and operational risk performance
- Support customers in implementing corrective actions following incidents or safety concerns
SAFETY PROGRAM SUPPORT
- Conduct safety and DOT baseline assessments for new customers
- Help organizations strengthen safety policies, procedures, and operational practices
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and operational leaders
- Facilitate safety improvement discussions with customer leadership teams
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE OVERSIGHT
- Assist customers in maintaining compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Review driver qualification file practices and compliance documentation
- Support customers in preparing for potential DOT audits or regulatory reviews
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
INCIDENT AND RISK MANAGEMENT

RHYTHM PLATFORM UTILIZATION
- Help customers effectively use the Rhythm platform to monitor safety performance

PORTFOLIO SAFETY MONITORING
- Monitor safety performance across assigned customer accounts
- Identify elevated risk indicators and coordinate targeted intervention when needed
- Support the development of safety dashboards and performance reporting
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in safety, fleet operations, transportation compliance, or risk management.
- Experience working with FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations a must.
- Experience supporting driver safety programs, fleet operations, or operational safety initiatives.
- Conducting hours-of-service (HOS) log audits and addressing compliance violations.
- Performing root cause analysis and post-incident investigations related to accidents, injuries, and operational incidents
- Developing and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and operational safety documentation
- Managing Driver Qualification Files (DQF), including driver application review, onboarding compliance, and ongoing documentation maintenance

The Steam Plant Manager will be a key member of the Seattle team, reporting directly to the General Manager. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Train and direct the activities of production personnel in the areas of safety.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained in safe operation of production equipment, and that all safety rules are enforced.
- Ensure that all production personnel report and/or correct unsafe conditions.
- Monitor employee behavior in regard to safe work performance.
- Schedule safety meetings; ensures attendance and appropriate meeting topics are reviewed.
- Ensure Lock out / Tag out procedures are followed.
- Ensure that all employees have and properly use appropriate safety equipment.
Responsible for continuing/implementing the Ring Family Culture in the facility.
- Employees are the first priority, production is secondary.
- Coach and instruct supervisors in the proper methods of caring for their employees demonstrating the methods by example.
- Welcome employees to the plant every day inquiring about their personal lives and showing that Ring cares about our employees.
- Hold pre-shift meetings to explain the day’s needs and concerns and emphasize the importance of safety, not only for the individual but for everyone in the plant.

Responsible for producing the best quality product at all times.
- Ensure all production personnel are properly trained to identify quality defects for rejection, understand the rework process, and know the requirements to produce product that meets or exceeds customer standards and expectations.
- Ensure all quality measurements are performed as defined by the testing control plan and are recorded in NWA Quality Monitor.
- Ensure all raw materials, packaging materials, work in progress and finished goods are labeled and that lot numbers are fully traceable throughout the production processes.
- Ensure all nonconforming products and materials are identified, communicated, segregated, and documented.
Train and direct the activities of production personnel in the areas of equipment operation, quality control requirements, standards and procedures, and recognition of material which should be scrapped or reground.
- Maintain training documentation.
Monitor and analyze machine efficiency and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions when efficiency rate is below standard.
- Track OEE, changeovers, downtime, scrap, and bottle loss.
- Provide planned downtime to support implementation of corrective measures for improvements.
- Schedule product changeovers in a manner which minimizes downtime and loss of productivity.
Monitor all labor expenses, general labor, OT and temporary labor, weekly, pursuing the Corporate Goal of being the Low Cost Producer.
Maintain employee relations; maintenance of employee calendars, documentation of corrective action, counseling, vacation scheduling and appropriate staffing to meet production needs within budget limits. Measure employee turnover and implement action plans to eliminate employee terminations.
Prepare and maintain necessary production records, machine efficiency records, scrap reports, and other reports as required.
Schedule production to meet customer demand and safety stock requirements.
Supervise the activities of shift supervisors
- Schedule and facilitate supervisor meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
Promote teamwork throughout the plant.
Work in conjunction with maintenance personnel on TPM and CLAIR projects.
- Schedule necessary personnel to perform tasks outlined in TPM and CLAIR projects.
- Ensure employees understand and follow all TPM standards established by team members.
May perform the duties of a supervisor as needed or required.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of food safety, food defense, and quality systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government regulatory food safety requirements and Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) or British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards.
- Ensure production employees adhere to food safety, food defense, and prerequisite programs (such as security, pest control, foreign material control, allergen control, chemical control, etc.) as required.
- Ensure production processes are performed in a food-safe manner.
- Ensure all housekeeping duties are performed and documented according to the Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement which proactively recognizes and addresses deficiencies.
Experience and Educational Qualifications
Our Production Manager must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Management or Supervision in a manufacturing environment. He/she must have the ability to provide technical guidance through past experience and industry knowledge. He/she should possess strong people skills, leadership qualities, managerial abilities, a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business. Our candidate must be able to read, write and understand English.
