Minimum Requirements


* BS in engineering discipline, mechanical preferred.

* Experience in medical equipment / device design with experience in electromechanical, electro- pneumatic, and/or blood pumping equipment development.


* Knowledge in medical device industry regulations and practices - ISO 13485, ISO 7198 & GMP.


* Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, MS Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat.


* Experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project preferred.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


* Design for Manufacturability and Assembly, DFM&A (cost/tooling/process considerations), preferably using SolidWorks CAD software.


* Understanding in design and development of injection molded plastic, plastic extrusion, casting, sheet metal, metal stampings, additive manufacturing processes, and machined metal components, and assemblies with high part counts highly desirable.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Critical Power to serve as the in-house technical authority on the UPS, power distribution, and emergency power systems that underpin 100% uptime. This role is purpose-built for an experienced critical power professional who has spent a career on the OEM and field service side of the business—commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining the very systems that keep mission-critical facilities running—and is ready to bring that depth of knowledge to an owner-operator environment.


You will be the go-to expert for all critical power infrastructure across our client’s Houston campus, working directly with a tenured operations team during a period of significant expansion. Your deep familiarity with UPS platforms, switchgear, transfer switches, and battery systems—combined with established OEM and vendor relationships—will be a force multiplier for the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for all UPS systems, including preventive maintenance, firmware management, diagnostics, module-level repair, and full system commissioning.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure including switchgear, automatic transfer switches (ATS), static transfer switches (STS), PDUs, RPPs, generators, and battery plants.
  • Leverage deep OEM relationships and product knowledge (Schneider/APC, Eaton/MGE, Toshiba/Mitsubishi, Vertiv/Liebert, or similar) to optimize maintenance programs, warranty coverage, and parts sourcing.

  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships for equipment servicing, warranty claims, emergency callouts, and capital improvement projects.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records, as-built documentation, battery test logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all critical power systems.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and serve as a first responder for power-related facility alarms and emergency events.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in critical power systems, with a strong emphasis on UPS field service, commissioning, and maintenance.

The Role

The Mission Critical Center of Excellence manages billions of dollars in projects annually, specializing in data center and mission-critical construction for leading technology and telecommunications clients across the United States. Position Summary


The Project Executive is responsible for the overall management of a single large-scale project ($200M+) or multiple high-complexity projects within the Data Center market. This role carries executive accountability for financial performance, schedule adherence, risk mitigation, client relationships, and team leadership.


The Project Executive serves as the senior operational and client-facing authority for assigned projects and plays a key role in proposal development, execution strategy, and overall project success.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide executive leadership for one $200MM+ project or multiple large, complex data center projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Maintain full P&L accountability, ensuring strong financial performance and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary executive contact for clients and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee project execution strategy, including budget development, forecasting, cost control, and schedule performance.
  • Lead risk management efforts, ensuring contractual compliance and proactive issue resolution.
  • Direct procurement strategy for major subcontracts, equipment, and critical materials.
  • Ensure alignment across Construction, A/E, MEP Services, and Field Operations teams.
  • Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across all project phases.
  • Mentor and develop Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and project teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure execution aligns with scope, schedule, and performance objectives.


Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 10+ years of related industry experience.
  • Minimum 7 consecutive years of profit and loss accountability across multiple projects.
  • Minimum 5 years managing all disciplines of design-build or hard bid construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in increasing project profitability.
  • Experience managing complex projects involving process or production equipment procurement and/or installation (minimum $2M scope component per project).
  • Knowledge of mission-critical facilities, large-scale distribution, manufacturing, and advanced infrastructure environments.
  • Experience preparing cost estimates and aggressive project schedules for industrial design-build projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale, high-complexity projects.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop project staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in standard business software; familiarity with scheduling and estimating tools preferred.

The Project Manager will be part of a larger project management team, reporting to a Lead Senior Project Manager overseeing the campus. The ideal candidate will have recent, hands-on Data Center experience and thrive in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:
