The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and will help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Job Summary
The MDS Nurse uses independent judgment in the planning, organizing, directing, and evaluation of activities of the professional and supportive nursing staff engaged in resident plan of care. Evaluates care provided to each resident and keeps care plans current. Is the direct lead in regards to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process. MDS Nurse assists in assessment and evaluation of potential admissions. Upon admission, quarterly and annual, the MDS Nurse completes resident assessments. Collaborates with the resident, family or advocate, other inter-disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to assure ongoing care of each resident to provide the best quality of life possible. When functioning on the floor, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. The RN cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel that are within the job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and the competence level of the delegate. As charge, the RN provides adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.
The RN functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum of one-year experience working as licensed nurse with the senior population preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT), management or supervisory experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required certifications and completes required continuous education units (CEU) and competency training. Affiliation with an outside professional nursing organization is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

3. Skills: Familiarity with security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations including DISS (Defense Information System for Security). Meticulous attention to detail. Basic computer skills to operate security systems and prepare reports. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate and explain dynamic situations coherently. Understand accountability and lead by example.
4. Clearance: Must have a current active secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance preferred.

CDSS is seeking outstanding instructors to be appointed in the non-Senate Lecturer title series who can teach small and large courses. We are particularly interested in instructors who can teach courses that satisfy the Human and Social Dynamics of Data and Technology requirement for the college. This requirement is designed for the purpose of developing an understanding of how technology and data interact with human and societal contexts, including ethical considerations and applications such as education, health, law, natural resources, and public policy. General Duties:
General duties include developing syllabi, lecturing, writing assignments, writing and grading exams, supervising teaching assistants, holding office hours, and maintaining a course website. Other duties may be assigned by the Chair as necessary.
TSP (Teacher Special Program) appointments teach our Summer Preparation Bootcamp for the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Statistics program. This bootcamp is a short courses on one or more of the topic areas listed. Most TSP courses are taught in a 'bootcamp' 3-week format in late July and early August .

POSITION PURPOSE
Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including post-operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members. Facilitates communication with physicians, patients and families, and interdisciplinary team members. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
Makes an initial assessment of new admissions within 30 minutes of the patient’s arrival to the unit.
Completes all areas of the admission assessment database within 24 hours of admission.
2. Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
Initiates the patient problem list and incorporates relevant medical history into the plan of care.
Analyzes and interprets the assessment data to identify desired patient outcomes/goals.
Determines nursing interventions to achieve those outcomes/goals.
Prioritizes patient care needs/ activities.
Identifies and makes appropriate referrals (i.e., Patient/Family Services, Nutritional Services, Spiritual Care, Diabetic Educator, etc.), and education needs.
Collaborates with other health care disciplines to plan interventions/ patient outcomes/goals.
3. Implements the outcome/goal- based plan of care.
Assigns and coordinates patient care incorporating patient acuity and the skills, knowledge and abilities of the team members.
Organizes and prioritizes care for the patients within the team.
Delegates tasks appropriately to other team members.
Implements the plan of care including procedures, treatments, physicians orders, nursing orders, education plan and medications.

Must be willing to serve as a resource to other hospital services (nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, respiratory, etc.).
May be asked to participate in unit-based committees and provide education to nursing staff as requested.
