Job Description:

Due to increased procurement volume, we are seeking a strong and experienced IT Procurement Buyer to support expanding department needs. This role will manage a high volume of procurement activity (30–60 requests at a time) and play a critical role in reducing backlog while driving strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong IT procurement experience, the ability to interpret complex business requirements, and confidence leading sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Develop and execute procurement strategies across technology-related commodities.
• Manage 30–60 procurement requests simultaneously while reducing backlog.
• Lead RFx (RFP/RFI/RFQ) sourcing events ensuring competitive supplier environments.
• Negotiate and execute contractual agreements including:
• Master Service Agreements (MSAs)

Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement

• Build strong relationships with business units, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Facilitate regular planning meetings to develop short- and long-term procurement strategies.
• Provide consultation and proactive communication regarding contract renewals and expiring engagements.
• Educate business partners on sourcing best practices and negotiation strategies.
• Collaborate with contract and PO teams to ensure accurate and timely request processing.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret and document contractual obligations clearly for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support termination planning and proactive contract renewal budgeting.
• Identify continuous improvement (Kaizen) opportunities within procurement processes.

Qualifications – Required:

THE OPPORTUNITY

Chipotle is one of the largest purchasers of naturally raised beef, pork, and chicken in the United States. This position is responsible for all activities related to ongoing supplier management and the procurement of services, materials, and supplies related to CMG Protein Procurement. Individual tasks include negotiations, controlling costs, ensuring continuous and efficient processing. LOCATION

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs tactical/strategic functions related to daily procurement.
• Build/maintain excellent relationship with vendors, ensure they abide by CMG policies and fulfill deliveries, and help negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and quality.
• Support culinary/marketing on any new protein options to help meet CMG standards and cost/availability requirements, especially LTO project work.
• Work with cross functional teams to onboard new suppliers that meet CMG standards to help support supply growth and diversification while ensuring available category capacity to support CMG growth.
• Identification/realization of cost-saving opportunities and cost-avoidance exercises without compromising supply assurance or quality.
• Pricing/Product Management in Oracle, Semarchy, Foodlogiq, etc.
• Support with analysis for RFP for raw materials and commissary
• Review and monitor raw material supplier performance with commissary
• Monitor and manage yields at commissary.
• Update team/organization on commodity markets through monthly category reviews, Board forecasts, and through market news.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• B.A./B.S. in related field; or an equivalent in education and experience; Masters preferred
• 3-5 years relevant work experience

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00–$122,500.00. As a Supply Chain Business Manager, you will help drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within a global supply chain. • Prepare vendor/merch escalation analytics; develop evidence packages to trigger escalation mechanisms for vendor-related issues (service failures, MAP/allocation constraints, substitution/deactivation impacts)
• Support ORAD, OTIF transition; ensure new OTIF reporting logic is clean and can be ingested into the Executive Scorecard
• Support assortment/DC slotting analytics; analyze impacts of minimum store count thresholds on DC efficiency and shelf holding power
• Monitor data quality and parameter governance; identify item setup/system parameter issues and recommend controls to reduce manual overrides and improve new item forecast calibration

• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; strong SQL proficiency; R or Python preferred
• Experience analyzing forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, and warehouse performance metrics
• Ability to translate complex supply chain drivers into clear, actionable recommendations
• Strong data quality mindset and experience establishing measurement logic and governance controls
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Retail Operations stakeholders

Category Manager - Raw Materials

We are currently looking to hire a Category Manager – Raw Materials for our client, a U.S.-based industrial manufacturer supporting advanced manufacturing, electrification, and next-generation technologies. Their materials play a critical role across automation, energy, transportation, and other asset-intensive markets, helping strengthen domestic supply chains.

This role is well suited for an experienced category management or strategic sourcing professional who has supported direct materials or commodity sourcing in industrial environments. As Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for critical raw materials while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and execute category strategies for raw materials supporting manufacturing and processing operations
• Lead sourcing activities including supplier identification, competitive bidding, negotiations, and contract execution
• Analyze market conditions, cost drivers, and supply risks to support informed sourcing decisions
• Develop cost models, total cost of ownership analyses, and business cases to drive value creation
• Partner cross-functionally to forecast demand and support production and capital project requirements
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and mitigate supply risks through contingency planning, dual sourcing, and inventory strategies
• Maintain accurate pricing, supplier, and contract data within procurement and ERP systems
• Prepare and present sourcing strategies, performance metrics, and risk assessments to leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement within manufacturing, chemicals, mining, or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing direct material or commodity categories
• Strong analytical skills, including spend analysis, cost modeling, and supplier evaluation
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in fast-paced operational settings
