We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager with medical device experience who thrives in a startup or high-growth environment. Project Management Framework & Standards

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the company's project management framework, including phase-gate or milestone models aligned to design controls; standardized plans and reporting; and risk/dependency/change-management practices.
  • Maintain core program artifacts (integrated plan, RAID log, dependency tracker, decision log, change log) and drive consistent, concise status reporting.
  • Identify gaps in process, communication, or tooling and implement improvements that increase predictability and accountability.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication

  • Act as a unifying force across R&D/Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing/Product, Manufacturing/Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Influence without authority by building trust and accountability in a matrixed environment.
  • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization, including clear written updates and leadership-ready summaries.

Documentation & Systems

  • Drive project documentation quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency) in alignment with the company's quality management system (QMS).
  • Support document routing and approvals using document control systems
  • Support process improvements related to project management, design control, and change control.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering project/program management or a related cross-functional leadership role in the Medical Devices sector
  • Working knowledge of Design Controls (21 CFR Part 820 / ISO 13485) and experience contributing to or maintaining Design History File (DHF) documentation.
  • Experience driving schedules, dependencies, and risks across cross-functional teams; Strong bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification and/or MBA a plus.
  • Experience in a startup, early-stage, or high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with regulated product development practices, including verification/validation planning, risk management, and change control.
  • Experience working with PLM/document control workflows.

Education

BS (MS preferred) in Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all prints, patterns, and graphic packages or artwork are valid and viable for each region and vendor.
  • Develop graphics according to the seasonal sourcing strategy provided by Graphic partners.
  • Ensure strike‐offs, handlooms, and knit‐downs are received in preparation for milestone meetings.
  • Meet with Stylists and Design teams to review print, pattern, and graphic submissions and partner with management to provide correction feedback.
  • Ensure prints, engineered graphics, and pattern placements are reviewed and approved in a timely manner with managers and Styling teams.
  • Ensure all prints, patterns, and graphics are captured and tracked using the seasonal PLM/Centric tracking chart, which serves as the primary communication tool with global partners.
  • Ensure all print, pattern, and graphic approvals are completed by the drop‐dead dates outlined in the seasonal calendar and provided by production partners.
  • If deadlines cannot be met, partner with management to provide recommendations and clearly communicate impacts to cross‐functional partners.
  • Follow up with textile technologists to ensure cross‐functional communication is timely and effective to avoid delivery, cost, or quality issues.
  • Follow up with Stylists, CAD artists, and vendors regarding printing techniques and limitations related to repeats, special layouts, raw material constraints, and machine capabilities.
  • Support Stylists and Managers in achieving final alignment for special strike‐offs for prints.
  • Manage the fabric library for strike‐offs and reference files.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred concentration in apparel production management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in print, pattern, or graphic product development and/or sourcing.
  • Experience approving colors and layouts for pattern and graphic strike‐offs.
  • Prior knowledge of artwork repeat, fabric content, printing machine types, and basic quality assurance testing.
  • Prior knowledge of printing techniques, yarn dyes, and graphic manufacturing processes.
  • Prior knowledge of garment washing, garment dyeing, and fabric finishing processes.
  • Working knowledge of the printing process, including understanding how print, pattern, and graphic development impacts product development through commercialization and supports business objectives.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing compound development projects as a part of the Technology R&D Materials organization. The position is located at the Indianapolis Technology Center.

Nature & Scope

Reporting to the Polymer and Compounding Manager, this position is responsible for leading compound development projects and is accountable for communication and delivery of results to the broader Technology team. The R&D Materials Senior Engineer will apply a systematic and designed experimental approach to develop new polymeric compounds and evaluate changes in material performance prior to commercial scale-up in our manufacturing plants.

Specific Job Duties

  • Leads or supports cross-functional project teams in production-scale compounding and prototype processing trials within the applicable Prysmian manufacturing facility associated with compound development projects.
  • Drives cost reduction and enhanced performance compound development from bench scale to commercialization.
  • Investigates and applies new polymer and additive technologies from a variety of suppliers.
  • Leverages polymers and materials experience to identify and execute projects which improve compound/cable Sustainability and carbon footprint.
