THE ROLE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Leadership & Oversight

  • Manage multiple custom home and Passive House projects from design and permitting through completion
  • Collaborate closely with pre-construction and company leadership from project inception
  • Ensure seamless execution across all phases of construction

Budget & Schedule Management

  • Develop, manage, and track detailed project budgets
  • Monitor costs and ensure financial targets are met

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate site superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and field teams

Quality, Compliance & Performance

  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds company standards, building codes, and Passive House certification requirements
  • Uphold best practices in high-performance building, including air sealing, insulation, and advanced HVAC systems

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and reports

  • Ensure client vision, expectations, and sustainability goals are fully realized

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • At least 10+ years of residential construction experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a project management role
  • Proven experience managing custom home projects (required)
  • Passive House or sustainable/high-performance construction experience (strongly preferred)

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and permitting processes
  • Strong understanding of high-performance building systems
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

The Advanced BioImaging Center (ABC) at UC Berkeley aspires to be a world leading multidisciplinary imaging center that drives important biological discoveries through critical new advances in all aspects of imaging technology and that drives the dissemination of that technology through a multi-pronged education strategy to scientists around the world. ABC was intentionally designed to maximize scientific productivity and impact by adopting groundbreaking imaging technologies such as the next-generation adaptive optical multifunctional microscope, incorporating the high-level technical expertise of instrumentation scientists , applied mathematicians, and computational scientists, and building worldwide collaborations aimed at tackling the challenges posed by terabyte and petabyte-scale imaging data processing, visualization, and dissemination. You will have access to leading - edge imaging and computing hardware, as well as exposure to the Bay Area's brightest minds from a range of diverse disciplines, including in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, and more.



The positions involve close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing empirical projects in the fields of microscopy and data analysis. The incumbent will work on tera-to-petabyte scale research data and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to and training with a broad set of research topics and methodologies. The roles exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.



The duties of the positions include:

* Operate and maintain the next generation multi-functional adaptive optical microscope(s) and other pre-commercial optical microscopes.

* Develop new imaging and data processing tools

* Assist with data acquisition using advance pre-commercial microscopy systems to image biological samples ranging from cells in culture, such as bacteria, mammalian cells, and organoids to intact organisms, such as zebrafish or mice, etc.

* Be involved in the applications of these tools for biological imaging; collaborate with Postdocs and graduate students on specific projects to test, learn and implement for general and specific use cases.

* Be an integral part of the expert team working together with computational scientists and biologists in experimental design to tackle complex biological questions in a quantitative manner.

* Train and assist students and researchers in the use of software applications

* Train and assist users with their imaging or data processing tasks.

* May supervise undergraduate students.

* General organization and management of software documentation.

Job Summary

The Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab at Georgia Tech would like to invite applicants for a postdoctoral position. We are seeking a new member of our research community to be jointly supervised by Jenny McGuire (Georgia Tech) and Michelle Lawing (Texas A&M). This postdoctoral research associate would join a vibrant team of international researchers investigating global change ecology.

Position description

The Department of Earth and Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for an Assistant Project Scientist in the area of Atmospheric Science, specifically Cloud Physics, using Stereophotogrammetry, Remote Sensing, and Computational Modeling to study moist convection, with strong emphasis on instrument development (cameras), data processing (calibration, stereo reconstruction algorithms), scientific leadership, and mentorship in physical sciences.



This position will be in David Romps' group in the Earth and Planetary Science Department of UC Berkeley. The group at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) uses theory, simulation, and observation of clouds and atmospheric dynamics to improve our understanding of Earth's climate.



The successful candidate will co-lead the development of cameras for the stereophotogrammetry of clouds, combining the camera data with the theory of physical processes and related numerical simulations to answer scientific questions about moist convective dynamics.



Assist with supervising and mentoring postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The Assistant Project Scientist will collaborate with David Romps' group to produce publications, as well as contribute to proposals and progress reports. Maintain the code base responsible for camera calibration, feature matching, stereo reconstruction, and volume filling. Develop new stereo-reconstruction algorithms to keep our program at the cutting edge of cloud photogrammetry. Manage the operations of the cameras, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
